The air in the amphitheater buzzed with activity as workers transformed the space for tomorrow's Alpha Ball. Banners bearing pack insignias hung from stone columns, their colors vibrant against the aged limestone. I paced the perimeter, mentally checking off items from the extensive preparation list Vanessa had created.
Everything was flawless. Each detail meticulously planned and executed, from the placement of tables to the carefully selected flower arrangements that wouldn't trigger werewolf allergies.
"She's good," I grudgingly admitted to myself as I inspected the hand-carved ice sculpture centerpiece depicting the unified pack territories.
Kael rumbled appreciatively within me. *Better than good. She thinks like a Luna.*
I pushed the thought away. My relationship with Vanessa was complicated enough without my wolf's constant reminders of our connection.
