I couldn't help the smile that spread across my face as Roman Vance—the most feared and respected Alpha in three territories—stood frozen in the doorway of the Rogue Foundation Daycare Center. His expression was priceless, a perfect mixture of horror and disbelief as he took in the chaos before him.
And chaos was definitely the right word.
Finger paint splattered the walls in abstract patterns that would make modern artists jealous. Blocks were scattered across the floor like landmines. In the corner, a little girl with pigtails was enthusiastically hitting a toy drum while shrieking at the top of her lungs. Two boys were engaged in what appeared to be a sword fight with stuffed animals, complete with sound effects. And somewhere, a baby was crying.
"Welcome to hell," I said cheerfully. "Or as we like to call it, the toddler room."
Roman's golden-brown eyes narrowed at me. "This is your idea of a solution?"
