Chapter 145 - A Desperate Cure and a Secret Search

"You were right to trust your instincts," Ronan admitted, watching Regina stir from her healing sleep. "Whatever that potion was, it's working miracles."

I let out a breath I hadn't realized I'd been holding. Regina's color had returned to normal, her breathing steady and deep. The angry red lines that had been spreading from the vampire's bite were now fading to a pale pink.

"I feel like I've been trampled by a herd of elk," Regina groaned, slowly pushing herself to sitting position. "But at least I'm alive to feel it."

"The medicine worked," I said, unable to keep the relief from my voice.

Regina blinked, looking down at herself in wonder. "I can actually breathe without feeling like my chest is on fire. What was in that stuff?"

I glanced at Ronan, who was eyeing the remaining vial of the mysterious woman's potion. "I'm not entirely sure," I admitted.

Regina's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You don't know what you gave me?"
