I squealed in surprise as strong arms pulled me back onto the bed. In seconds, I landed on Landon's lap, his hardness pressing insistently against my backside.
"And where do you think you're going?" His sleep-roughened voice in my ear sent shivers down my spine.
"I was going to let you sleep," I replied, trying to sound innocent. "You clearly need rest."
"Mmm," he hummed, his hands sliding around my waist. "Is that why you were standing there staring at me? Watching me sleep?"
I tilted my head to see his face. His silver eyes were heavy-lidded but alert, a mischievous smile playing at his lips.
"I brought you breakfast," I deflected, nodding toward the tray.
"I noticed." His chin rested on my shoulder as his fingers traced idle patterns on my stomach. "But I woke up to find something far more appetizing watching me sleep."
