Chapter 135 - Departure and a Gentle Hand

I walked away from the press conference with my head high, despite the hurricane of emotions raging inside me. My hands trembled slightly, but I kept them clasped tightly together, refusing to show any weakness. The shocked faces of the reporters and Julian's thunderous expression were burned into my memory, but I didn't regret a single word.

For the first time in five years, I had spoken my truth.

"Luna Monroe! Just one more question!" a persistent reporter called, hurrying after me with a microphone extended.

"As I've made clear, I am not the Luna," I corrected firmly, pausing briefly. "And I have nothing more to say."

The cool autumn air hit my face as I pushed through the mansion's ornate doors. I took a deep breath, filling my lungs with the scent of freedom. My wolf stirred inside me, no longer cowering but standing tall and proud.

"Aurelia!" Julian's voice boomed from behind me. "Don't you dare walk away from me!"
