I felt like I was floating in a sea of fog, my limbs heavy and unresponsive. Through the haze, I could hear raised voices - Tristan's deep, concerned tone and Julian's harsh, commanding one. I struggled to open my eyes, to make sense of what was happening around me.
"She's coming with me," Julian growled. His voice sounded so close.
"She's drugged, Valois. She needs medical attention, not your rage," Tristan argued.
I managed to pry my eyes open just enough to see the two Alphas squaring off. Julian's amber eyes glowed with fury in the darkness, while Tristan stood protectively near me, his stance defensive.
My body felt like it was made of lead, the Savage Moon Elixir still coursing through my system. I tried to speak, to tell Tristan not to let Julian take me, but my tongue wouldn't cooperate.
