Aurelia's POV
The paternity test felt heavy in my hands as I stood by the window in Tristan's office, watching the sunrise. I'd spent the night staring at those damning results, the scientific proof of Natalie's ultimate deception. Blood type O negative and AB positive - completely incompatible. All these years, Julian had been playing daddy to a child that could never be his.
"You should reconsider, Aurelia." Tristan's voice broke through my thoughts.
I turned to face him, clutching the papers. "Why? Because it's dangerous? I passed dangerous a long time ago, Tristan."
"Because Julian is unpredictable when cornered," he replied, leaning against his desk. His dark eyes held genuine concern. "And this will definitely corner him."
A bitter laugh escaped my lips. "Good. Let him feel trapped for once."
