Chapter 36 - Unveiling The Truth

One day and twenty hours to reach Hedaxipotomous.

"So, I've been thinking," Kichu looked at Fizz.

"When we were at Sophis-X, you called the king by his name. You were talking like you knew him. So… how do you know him?"

"You're a late questioner, aren't you?" Fizz chuckled. "Why didn't you ask before?"

"I only say what's on my mind at the moment. That question wasn't there back then," Kichu replied, biting into his bread.

"We… uh… we were friends. I don't know if that's the right term," Fizz said with a small laugh.

"Friends, huh? Is that how friends greet each other — by trying to kill you?"

"Yeah, we were like that… until—" Fizz paused.

"What happened?" Roco asked.

"Nah, I don't want to talk about it. Let's talk about something else," Fizz said, sipping his coffee.

"Alright, understandable. Then tell me about your Sin. I've been curious about it," Kichu asked.

"Okay, what do you want to know?"

"Everything."

"Yeah, mine's a class two Sin called—whatever, it gives me super speed, blah blah blah." Fizz waved it off, clearly uninterested.

"When you rescued us, was that your Sin's full potential?" Kichu asked. "You seemed completely exhausted afterward. Why is that?"

Fizz went quiet for a moment.

"I was nine when I got my Sin. I was so happy because I thought I could become a hero—a hero who saves everyone. But…" he stopped and finished his coffee.

"Man, I wish we had some booze," Fizz said with a short laugh.

"The problem with my Sin is the speed itself. If I use it beyond a certain point, my body starts to break apart. Back then, I couldn't even go half as fast as I can now. When I met Hinko, he taught me soul-sensing—so I could use my soul as a shield. I'm still learning that," he explained.

"How far can you go now?" Roco asked.

"The farthest I've gone is eighty percent. I could go beyond that, but I have no idea what would happen."

"How much were you using when you saved us?" Kichu asked.

"Sixty-five."

"Damn… that's a huge difference!" Roco said.

"Did you ever figure out a way to protect yourself?" Kichu asked.

"Nope. But I've been training for years now. I can say I've improved," Fizz replied.

"Isn't there any tech or device that could help you?" Kichu asked.

"My Sin at eighty percent moves at one and a half times the speed of light. There's no physical object that can keep up with that. Sometimes, I wonder about this world—this power defies every law of physics," Fizz said, chuckling.

"Yeah, I passed that arc. I don't know what kind of sci-fi world this even is," Kichu muttered, slumping into a chair.

"Why's your Sin class two, though? It could easily be class one," Roco said.

"You don't know much about Sins, do you?" Fizz asked, smirking.

Roco frowned. "Did you ever see a Devil?"

"No. I wish I did," Roco said.

"Haha… you don't know shit. I've encountered two of them. With all my speed, I could only escape," Fizz said.

"Are they really that terrifying?" Roco asked.

"Hmm… I don't even know how to explain it. I once saw—and talked to—one of them. I was trying not to throw up," Kichu said.

"Oh? You talked to one?" Roco asked in shock.

Fizz's eyes widened. He slowly walked toward Kichu.

"You did what…?" He grabbed Kichu's shoulders. "Who did you talk to? How did you survive?"

"Uh… I talked to the Head Brothers," Kichu said quietly.

Fizz froze. Each word from Kichu was a headache.

"The Head Brothers? Ahh… that's even worse," Fizz groaned.

"Oh, he was kind of nice, actually. He gave me this spaceship," Kichu said.

Fizz collapsed to the floor.

"Fizz? You there, man?" Roco called, but there was no reply.

"Oh… he's done. Why didn't you say a devil gave you this ship?" Roco asked.

"When I first met you, would you have believed me?" Kichu replied.

"Nah, I still don't," Roco said.

Fizz finally woke up, sitting on the floor, dazed.

"How the hell did one of the Head Brothers give you this ship?"

"I don't know. I think it was Flip Head," Kichu said.

"You should be thanking God for keeping you alive. Devils aren't nice," Fizz said seriously.

"Yeah, I don't think he was nice either."

"You met the nicest devil there is. But don't be fooled—he could've killed you just for looking at him. But he didn't. I met him once, too," Fizz continued.

"He was saving a boy from his father—the man was beating the kid to death. The devil killed the man right there in front of hundreds, piercing his hand straight through him… and took the boy with him."

Kichu listened like a child hearing a bedtime story.

"I thanked him for doing that. Told him that if he hadn't, I would've. We talked for a few minutes, and he left. I almost thought I could change my opinion about devils… until I saw his brother. The exact opposite. I've never seen someone so cruel in my entire life—and I've been across the universe. He kills everything in his path. The other brother just watches. If you ever see him… don't fight. Just run," Fizz said.

"Is he that bad?" Kichu asked.

"If you fought Immortal, you'd die. But if you fought him... you'd regret even thinking about it. He'd tear every muscle from your body and listen to your screams like music," Fizz said coldly.

"I don't want that to happen," Roco muttered.

"Nice story…" Marly's voice came from behind.

"Hey—when did you come in? I didn't even notice," Kichu said.

"I've been here since that uncle fell to the floor," Marly said.

Roco and Kichu tried to hold back their laughter.

"Kid, call me Fizz or Speed Man or whatever—but not uncle, okay?" Fizz warned.

"No, uncle sounds comfortable," Marly said, sitting down.

"Now continue the story. I'm interested."

"Yeah, tell us about Sins. We stopped there," Kichu said.

Fizz sighed, sat back, and gestured for them to sit. He poured more coffee and took a sip.

"Alright. About Sins. There are four main classes. Class Three is the lowest—there are over half a million of them. Class Two is split into low-tier and top-tier. The top tier has around ten, including the Four Elementia. Mine's not in the top tier—and you know why."

"That's what I don't get. Why?" Kichu asked.

"A Sin's power isn't just about its strength—it's about its cost. Mine breaks my body. That's why it's class two.

Now, Class One—there are fewer than ten in existence. I don't remember the exact number," Fizz said.

"Wait—aren't there only six? And all devils have one each?" Kichu asked.

"No, that's not true. Some people besides devils have Class One Sins. And only four of the devils actually have them," Fizz replied.

"Only four? Then who are the two that don't?" Roco asked in amazement.

"The first one's Sons. His Sin is a low-tier Class Two called Memory Manipulation. He can alter someone's memory by touch, but it has tons of limitations. The biggest counter is me—speed. I can outrun him. Still, no one knows how he became a devil. Even AUL can't figure him out," Fizz said, taking another sip.

"So who's the other one?" Kichu asked, leaning forward.

"Oh, this one might shock you," Fizz said.

"It's Immortal."

Kichu froze. His face went pale.

"Wha… how? Isn't he the most powerful being in the entire universe? How can he be that strong without a powerful Sin?" Roco asked, stunned.

Fizz smiled faintly, looking at the three of them, all speechless.

"Powerful Sin? kid, That man doesn't even have a Sin," Fizz said, smirking as the silence fell heavy in the room.
