NEW ATLANTIS SKYLINE / ROOFTOP — NIGHT
Cold wind cuts across the city.
Steel stands on the edge of a tall rooftop overlooking the traffic streams below — the glow of neon reflecting subtly against his face.
He's thinking.
His hand rests near the faint scar where the Neuro-Link bonded.
It pulses once.
Like a heartbeat.
Like it's… listening.
Steel closes his eyes.
FOOTSTEPS...
Calm. Familiar lavender scent appears
He doesn't turn.
[Agent Steel]:You're getting good at finding me. (gentle, knowing)
Susan steps beside him — coat pulled tight, hair softly lifted by wind.
[Dr. Susan Thomas]:You're predictable when you're overwhelmed.
Steel smirks faintly.
[Agent Steel] :Comforting...
Susan looks at him—not clinically, not professionally—humanly.
[Dr. Susan Thomas]: You're not sleeping.
Steel stays silent.
She waits.
He finally exhales.
[Agent Steel] : …The implant isn't just reacting. It's remembering things I don't know. Movements. Code. Images."
paused
[Agent Steel] : And someone… someone on the other end is listening.
Susan processes this — not panicked — but quietly alarmed.
[Dr. Susan Thomas]: If it's transmitting, we need to understand the frequency.
Steel shakes his head.
[Agent Steel ] : It's not a frequency, Susan.
He looks at her — voice low, unsettled.
[Agent Steel] : It feels like a call.
A MOMENT OF STILLNESS.
Susan steps just a little closer—not invasive, but supportive.
[Dr. Susan Thomas]: You're allowed to be afraid. It doesn't make you weak.
Steel's voice softens.
[Agent Steel] : I don't know what's happening to me.
She rests a hand lightly on his forearm.
Reassuring.
Grounding.
[Dr. Susan Thomas]: And you don't have to figure it out alone.
Their eyes meet.
SHADOW DIVISION / OBSERVATION ROOM — SAME TIME
Madison watches them from a silent screen feed.
One hand rests on the back of a chair.
The other touches her necklace — a habit she doesn't realize she does.
Her expression is complex:
Pride.
Fear.
Care.
She whispers — almost a promise.
[Madison Connor] : Stay balanced, Steel… Please.
ABANDONED INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX — NIGHT
Heavy rain begins falling.
A broken machinery, rusted platforms, collapsing walls.
Electronic hums echo — faint, artificial, unnatural.
A lone figure sits in a chair in front of him Jaxon Steel's face is given.. And lots of his data is shown...
His voice is distorted — deep, cold, intelligent.
[MYSTERIOUS MAN ] :"…Neural Sequence: 47-Delta has awakened."
Tall, spider-like drones crawl around him, syncing with pulsing lights on the floor.
The figure leans forward —
His eye narrows.
[ MYSTERIOUS MAN ] : So… Agent Steel.
A dark smile forms — thin, calculated.
[MYSTERIOUS MAN ] :"Finally, a compatible host."
He lifts a hand.
The drones freeze.
His voice lowers — almost reverent.
[MYSTERIOUS MAN ] "Prepare the convergence signal."
A low-frequency pulse emits — spreading through the night like a silent ripple across reality.
SAME TIME — ROOFTOP WITH STEEL & SUSAN
Steel flinches suddenly — clutching his head.
The implant glows beneath his skin — too bright.
[Agent Steel]: —No… not now.(gritted teeth)
Susan grabs his shoulders, steadying him.
[Dr. Susan Thomas]:Stay with me — listen to my voice!
Steel drops to one knee — the city lights reflecting in his glazed eyes as foreign code spills into his thoughts.
A mechanical voice echoes inside his mind:
"CONNECTION VERIFIED."
Steel gasps — eyes wide — the voice not human.
Steel whispers:
[Agent Steel] : …He's here.
Susan freezes — understanding enough to fear what comes next.
STEEL LOOKS UP...IN HIS EYES
Inside them:
For a split second — a reflection.
A distorted hologram image.
'AN UNKNOWN FACE '
Watching him.
Almost smiling.
