Before he could finish his companions started attacking, Ars was a bit overwhelmed with all the attacks and had to focus on dodging with everything he had. But he kept smiling and his smile was getting wider. He was using this short opportunity to train his observation haki, while he slowly used his ice cold domain to lower the temperature slowly.
One of them realized something was wrong after the temperature drop became noticeable and quickly commented.
"I don't know why but the temperature is dropping quickly, be very careful."
They nodded but kept attacking, but without them realizing their attacks were becoming slower, not just their attacks their whole bodies were becoming slower.
Suddenly ice started forming in the ground. At first each of their steps broke the thin layer of ice, but soon it was thick enough that it didn't break.
The temperature kept dropping in the area around Ars, finally after a few minutes one of the previous 7 started visibly freezing, it didn't take long for him to go to sleep for eternity. Soon enough they all started to have problems even moving, and finally after another minute every single enemy was frozen solid.
Ars laughed out loud catching the attention of the remaining 23 agents, when they looked back, they froze, all of their companions had been frozen into ice statues, and Ars was now even creating more statues, with strange poses causing them to feel insulted. They all nodded at each other and rushed towards Ars.
They weren't worried about the lunarians escaping, they had too many injuries. They were correct the moment the 3 lunarians were left alone they collapsed on the ground from exhaustion.
The remaining 23 agents were mostly stronger than the previous group, this ones had akuma no mis, all zoans with the exception of one. He didn't care too much about the zoans but was curious about the other one. It didn't take long for him to realize what it was, it was a special paramecia, a liquid metal.
The first that came to mind was mercury, but seemed less dense, from its interaction with the surroundings, Ars then realized it was Gallium, Its user because of the cold quickly started losing mobility, Ars wasn't causing the temperature to droop further, but even then the place was freezing, soon enough the poor user stopped dead in his tracks from the cold the other 22 kept attacking Ars.
Ars kept dodging for a while, but the moment he stopped and smiled at them, they had a horrible feeling and tried to dodge the unknown attack. The attack had come from their surroundings as ice spears from the ground and ice statues, and while most of them did manage to dodge the fatal attack they still got either pierced or losing a limb.
Seeing Ars smile growing even wider they had a nasty feeling that the fight was over, but before they could do anything else, Ars raised the temperature to over 6000 degrees just for a second, but the rapid temperature fluctuation caused all that ice to explode and cause devastating damage to his enemies, plus horrible burns from the high temperature.
The only survivor was the user of the special paramecia, who got lucky and got sent flying with horrible injuries.
When he approached the agent, she was conscious but very close to death, she grabbed his leg and begged.
"Save… Me… Please… I will do your bidding… anything you ask."
Ars looked at her and said.
"Hoooo? Will you? In that case, sign this and I will save you."
He took a contract from his laboratory and gave it to her, and using all of her strength she signed it off.
He nodded and picked her up, taking her to his laboratory and changing her appearance to match the others, he intended to use her as a spy in the surrounding kingdoms once she was out. He quickly put her on the machine, which quickly went into emergency mode to save the patient, seeing that he couldn't do anything else he left to meet the lunarians.
The female and the boy were unconscious. The man was conscious but barely.
When Ars approached, the man and looked at him, at that moment Ars could see fear and hope in the man's eyes.
"Why did you help us? We have nothing to offer to you!"
Ars nodded, thought about it and looked back at the man.
"I was bored and saw 3 interesting lunarians being attacked by a bunch of worms and decided that killing worms like those is always worth it, as long as you don't get caught, besides I got to help you 3, and now you are talking to me… And we can do business!"
The man understood that Ars didn't actually like the world government but didn't want to be caught opposing it, and he understood why… But the last part left him lost, what did he mean doing business?
"I'm grateful for your help but I'm a bit confused about doing business, We have nothing to sell or money to buy…"
Ars smiled a warm and friendly smile.
"Well I just want to invite you to live in my hidden city, along with your friends here."
The man didn't exactly trust Ars but didn't resist when Ars went to check on his injuries, but when the man saw Ars going towards the boy and the woman, he quickly questioned.
"What do you intend to do to them?"
It was Ars turn to be confused.
"What do you mean? I'm checking on their injuries…"
What Ars didn't say was that he was also collecting samples from them while he inspected the injuries.
The man showed a bit of a reluctant face but said nothing more.
When Ars finished investigating the wounds, he looked at the man and questioned.
"By the way, what is your name? And do you accept living in my hidden city or not?"
The man locked eyes with Ars before replying.
"My name is Caal, and it is better if you ask your second question to the lady there…"
Ars looked at the unconscious female, and back at the man.
"Why?"
The man ignored Ars' question, while he tried to get up from the ground.
After that Ars tried to pry for information but the man simply ignored him.
The female took close to an half an hour to wake up.
She panicky looked around, but quickly calmed down, she looked at Ars and questioned him.
"It was you who saved us? And who are you?"
Ars replied calmly, like didn't just turn a bunch of cp agents into fertilizer.
"You could say so, and I have a proposal for you. My name is Ars, it is a pleasure to meet you!"
She looked at Ars surprised and curious about the proposal. Seeing her waiting for his proposal he quickly explained.
"I have a hidden city, and I would like it if you guys came to live there."
She nodded and looked at Ars, she needed more information to make a decision.
"What do you mean by hidden city? How do you even hide a city? And why do you want us to live there?"
Ars laughed, she was indeed right about it being hard to hide a city… In a way, his city wasn't hidden at all, it was just impossible to find it on a map and hard to access. He had seen hidden villages well documented in maps… So a city out of a map and hard to access was 100% a hidden city in his book.
He tried to explain in a short sentence.
"It's a city that people won't find that easily, and it is not really hidden, just very hard to access and find. As to why I would like you guys to go live there, well I simply invited you because I invited everyone that seemed intersting before you guys too. And I'm always looking for powerful subordinates."
She nodded, that made a bit more sense.
She considered her options, she didn't fully trust Ars and the lunarians were constantly on the run, this proposal was too good to be true, but also too good to pass it. She knew it, her elders knew it, everyone knew it except the youngest children. Her clan was getting smaller and smaller, to the point everyone thought they were extinct.
In reality, they were hiding, hoping not to be found, or running for their lives whatever they came out from hiding to gather resources.
And if things went wrong like this time, they would either be captured or killed.
She looked at Ars one more time, he clearly wasn't with her enemies but at the same time she wasn't even 50% sure she could trust him… She was very split between following Ars and rejecting his offer.
"How can we make sure you don't just want to enslave us?"
Ars looked at with a serious expression and commented.
"That's the neat part, you don't! You can only either trust or not trust, I can't help you on that…"
She was a bit annoyed at that answer but he just smiled at her and ignored her look. She closed her eyes and tried to decide…
Suddenly the young boy also woke up and looked around in panic, but calmed down after checking the surroundings.
Both the adult male and adult female quickly moved to his side.
The woman then proceeded to introduce Ars and explain the reason she was troubled, the young man nodded and thought about it.
It was indeed risky for them… Then they moved further away to discuss something, while the man just stood in front of Ars, awaiting the final decision.
Shortly after, they came back, and the female approached Ars.
"First i would like to apologize, i didn't realize i didn't introduce myself, I am Mizuki and this young boy is Kurotsuki! And we would like to make a proposal."
Ars nodded and they proceeded to explain their proposal.
"We would like the possibility of only one of us going along with you and checking your hidden city, if they return to us we will know you are telling the truth, if they don't return it means we just got deceived…"
The young man then added.
"We really want to believe it is true… We are sick of running and hiding from the world government all the time. Honestly if you don't accept this proposal i am inclined to accept anyway, because we were hoping for Joy boy return… But he didn't return in so long… I didn't have that many hopes for the survival of my clan anymore… We are slowly being hunted down to extinction…"
Ars nodded and commented lightly.
"Well there are a bunch of conditions for Joy boy's return, so yeah, it's kinda hard for him to come back, even if his inheritor is alive and well, but there is one alive and already has part of his abilities… Just very undeveloped. And yes you can proceed with your proposal."
The 3 lunarians were shocked, this was new information for them, but it brought them joy…
While they were happy Ars questioned them once more.
"Anyway, which one of you will be coming with me then?"
The male was going to offer himself but the female stopped him.
"You better go with Kurotsuki, you are stronger than me and if something happens, you are more likely to be able to protect him…"
The man tried to oppose her decision.
"But young Miss I should protect you both, and if you guys go straight to our hiding place it should be safe."
She shook her head and replied.
"But if something does happen I want to give my younger brother a better chance of survival, he is only 14 years old."
The man was going to try and change her mind but she raised her hand and coldly said.
"My decision is done. Don't try to change it, it won't work."
He nodded but then questioned.
"What about supplies? Because of getting seen soon after we got out from hiding we didn't manage to get them."
She sighed and started…
"Forget about the supplies… And prepare to move the moment you arrive, even if he is just trapping me, we need to change places, the world government is starting to get close…"
Ars thought about it and offered.
"Well, you can take the supplies in the world government ship, I just don't advise you to stay for long, by now the world government already realized their dogs are dead and will be coming over soon."
They nodded and thanked Ars, it was indeed an option, they just needed to confirm the supplies didn't have a tracker just in case Ars was working with the world government to catch them.
After confirming it, the young man and the adult male left carrying some supplies. Ars looked at the female and asked.
"Should we go on our way? Or you want to do something else?"
She nodded, smiled and said gently.
"Lead the way."
Ars didn't realize it, but they had thought Ars just wanted to capture them, and they put on a show and the female chose to sacrifice herself, because Ars was too strong for them to handle.
