Yuta nodded, it felt just like a few days ago, he hadn't even known that such a realm existed, and now so much had changed. Everything had.
"I ran away from home that day," Yuta murmured, smiling faintly at the memory.
Elrien pulled the horse to a stop. The clearing looked exactly the same—the circle of moonbloom flowers that had hurt his serpent from.
"You said you ran away from home," Elrien said softly and Yuta's eyes dimmed with memory.
"My cousin was getting married, and when I returned home, she accused me of trying to steal her fiance away. I didn't even know that he called it off!" Yuta sighed as old frustration built up, but for the first time, he had someone to rant about it to.
"She'd blame me every time Sura looked at me for more than a few seconds."
Elrien's grip on the reins tightened. "He was pursuing you?"
