Elrien stared at the still figure on the silk sheets, his jaw clenched with concern and frustration. His dark gaze never left where Yuta lay pale and motionless.
His breathing was so shallow it barely stirred his chest.
It's been two days.
The medicine bowl on the bedside table was completely useless. Nothing was returning the human's vital force and his body was burning too.
"Humannn isssn't awake?" The serpent slithered in his subconscious and Elrien's fingers clenched.
"You did this to him!" His voice was a low growl.
A hiss stirred inside him, "Silence!" Elrien snapped inside his own head, cutting the voice off before it could say anything further that would make his rage boil over
"Where are they?" Elrien's voice rumbled out of the chamber door like dark lightning which burst open. Three physicians stumbled in, followed by Giyu whose face was creased with worry.
They all dropped into hurried bows, but Elrien's patience had run dry days ago.
