Asuma stared viciously at the Uchiha in front of him.
"Two-tomoe Sharingan, and you think you can teach me a lesson?"
"Don't overestimate yourself."
"Let's see if your Sharingan can keep up with my moves."
As soon as he finished, he dashed forward at high speed, swinging his chakra blades at Ryosuke's arm.
But Ryosuke could clearly see all his movements.
Sharingan really lived up to its reputation as the Eye of Insight.
He blocked the attack with his kunai.
Sparks flew as the weapons clashed.
Asuma was surprised Ryosuke kept up with his moves—it had to be thanks to those Sharingan.
Too bad, the Uchiha clan were a threat to the village and never followed the rules.
Still, Ryosuke seemed to be struggling to block.
Asuma raised his right leg and kicked Ryosuke square in the chest.
Even though the Sharingan caught the move, his body just couldn't react fast enough. His physical stats were trash to begin with.
Ryosuke got launched backward.
Asuma sneered, "Is this the best the Uchiha can do? Next time, stay out of Sarutobi business."
But Ryosuke wasn't paying attention to him—the system voice rang out in his head.
『Your body feels great pain. Training speed has been boosted.』
『Strength +2, Speed +2, Constitution +2.』
A warm current rushed through him—pain faded, his body felt lighter.
Damn, the auto-system could even do this?
Not only did his strength, speed, and constitution go up, his wounds healed faster.
He could feel his arms and legs were stronger and lighter.
Constitution must mean more durability and faster recovery.
A tough guy can take bigger hits and recover faster; a weakling suffers longer.
So basically, getting beat up makes you stronger now?
He kinda wanted to tell Asuma, "Go ahead, hit me more if you dare!"
But looking at those glowing blades, nope—he wasn't that dumb.
If not for his Sharingan, he probably would've lost an arm.
Still, he slowly stood and called Asuma out.
"Attacking people in public—seriously out of control."
"Konoha doesn't tolerate guys like you."
The crowd was stunned.
This Uchiha really wasn't afraid of dying.
The Hokage's son, Asuma, was really going to go wild.
This was not the time to push it—when Asuma lost it, nobody knew what he'd do.
Asuma, gripping his chakra blades, was so angry he was laughing.
"You're saying Konoha can't handle someone like me?"
He pumped even more chakra into the blades, making them glow even brighter.
Now he was going to teach Ryosuke a lesson he'd never forget.
With his dad as the Third Hokage, this village belonged to their family.
Asuma bent his knees, ready to charge in for real this time.
Ryosuke stared back coldly—he could tell from Asuma's face the guy was about to snap.
Luckily, his stats were up now. He couldn't win, but he could hold out a bit longer.
Just as Asuma was about to attack, a girl stepped in his path.
He stopped and demanded, "Kurenai, why are you stopping me?"
Kurenai snapped, "Do you even know what you're doing?"
"You were about to go all out, weren't you?"
"Can't you see how everyone around you is reacting?"
She was really worried Asuma would do something he'd regret. She didn't want the guy who stood up for her to get hurt either—she'd feel guilty.
Asuma followed her gaze, seeing everyone was watching him with fear.
He looked uneasy. Maybe he was being too impulsive.
But Kurenai calling him out just made it worse—a rock sat on his chest.
Kurenai yelled, "Seriously, are you not even going to listen to me now?"
If he kept acting like this, not only could they never be together, they couldn't even be friends.
She wouldn't be friends with someone this reckless.
Asuma looked at her, fury rising. Sure, she had a point, but she was supposed to be his future girlfriend.
Anyone could criticize him—except her.
He made up his mind, ignored Kurenai, and charged past her, chakra blades flashing at Ryosuke.
This time, he was even faster.
But to his shock, the Uchiha actually blocked his attack.
Asuma's eyes went wide—how was this possible?
He'd been even faster than before; there was no way Ryosuke should've kept up.
"You bastard, were you hiding your strength just now?"
If Ryosuke kept up, he must've been faking it before.
He never expected Ryosuke could match his burst speed.
Seeing Ryosuke stay silent just pissed him off more.
What, now the guy wouldn't even talk to him? So arrogant.
"I'll make you regret it!"
He swung even faster, slashing so hard the blade made a wind current—but the Sharingan tracked every move, and Ryosuke barely managed to defend.
There was no time to answer Asuma's taunts—he was fighting for his life. Asuma's real strength was already strong-jonin level.
Ryosuke, with his slightly boosted stats, was just an average chunin. The fact that he was still standing was a miracle.
Kurenai watched, furious.
Going so hard on a fellow villager—he was out of control.
Asuma used to be wild but still a good friend. Now he'd totally lost it.
The fight looked dangerous—Ryosuke barely dodged getting his face cut open.
He was really trying to kill.
Kurenai was surprised Ryosuke was barely holding his own.
Asuma was reckless, but his talent was real.
Still, even with the upper hand, Asuma hadn't landed a single hit.
As a Konoha ninja, Kurenai knew she had to step in—couldn't let Asuma seriously hurt a comrade.
She quickly drew a kunai and leapt between them.
"That's enough. If you make another move, I'll be your opponent."
