Riven slammed his fist against the door, and it was loud enough to shake the frame.
Everyone was stunned by the sudden turn of events.
"What the fuck's he doing?"
"Has he lost it?"
"He must be begging for death…"
The whispers didn't stop, but Riven didn't care about them. He kept hitting the door as if those words didn't bother him.
The door finally creaked open with a jolt.
The alpha stepped out. His breath was ragged, and his half-unbuttoned shirt clung to his skin. His belt was hanging loose; anyone could tell what he was about to do. He ran a hand through his hair, lazily, and looked pissed off.
"Who the fuck are you?" he growled, eyes narrowing. "Are you seeking death?"
Riven didn't flinch. He shoved him out of the way as he peeked inside the room.
"Come out. Now." He called out to the omega inside the room.
Although Riven was an Omega, he wasn't a weakling who could lose in a fight easily. He had been through more than enough to bring himself up to this point.
Inside, the omega was in a frozen state. He was curled on the floor, his body trembling in panic and pain. He didn't know if he could move as his legs felt weak.
But when he heard Riven's voice, he gathered strength and dashed out of the room.
"Thank you… t-thank you, sir!"
The omega kept bowing, his voice shaking, as his eyes welled up with tears and gratitude. He turned and ran, stumbling, nearly crashing into the wall as he bolted.
His pheromones lingered in the air as the alpha stood frozen.
He just stood there, chest heaving as if he was still trying to process what the hell had just happened.
His toy was gone, and at this thought, his jaw clenched.
And then it snapped.
"You fucking… How dare you?" he spat in an infuriated tone.
He lunged without warning, grabbing Riven by the collar and yanking him forward until they were nose to nose. His grip was tight around Riven as his fingers shook with the force.
"So you really are seeking death," he growled, spitting with every word that came out of his mouth.
He then tilted his head and sniffed hard against Riven's throat, trying to take in his smell.
But he found no special scent or pheromones.
His eyes narrowed.
"You're a beta?" he said as a mocking smirk appeared on his face. "What the fuck are you?"
Riven grabbed the alpha's wrist and scoffed.
"Hah. You alphas are all the same, filthy as ever." He tried to shake off the grip, " power-hungry bastards who pick on the weak."
"You want to see power?" the alpha growled, his voice low and shaking with rage.
He let go of Riven's collar and slammed his fist right into Riven's face.
The blow was hard and sharp.
"Since you made that omega run away, then you must serve me tonight!" The Alpha's hand was quick to undo Riven's tie.
His head snapped to the side at the sudden blow. He staggered back a few steps, blood already spilling from the corner of his mouth.
But soon he composed himself and stood there steadily as his eyes were locked on the alpha.
The alpha turned away from him and faced his men, clenching his fist to the side as he was barely containing his anger.
"However, before using you, you need a nice beating," he shouted, his voice loud and cruel. "Everyone, teach this beta bastard a lesson. Make sure he never dares to lift his head in front of the alphas again!"
And as if those were waiting for a word, they launched an attack toward Riven.
Riven threw the first punch, hitting one in the jaw, the moment someone attacked him.
Another rushed at him, and Riven kicked him back and swung again.
He ducked under a fist, drove his elbow into someone's stomach, then turned and hit another across the face.
However, he was nothing but an Omega, and there were dozens of Alphas trying to take him on.

Azerin was busy with his meeting. And it wasn't a simple business meeting; he had to grab the information related to the Moonstone. However, after seeing and talking to these alphas, they looked nothing but clueless.
As if the news about Moonstone had still not reached their ears.
"Kael," the alpha said with a polite tone and asked. "May I know how His Highness is doing?"
"Talking about His Highness is seeking death," Azerin responded coldly. "Even people like us had no luck peeking a glance at him, let alone knowing how he is!"
"Forgive me," the alpha replied instantly. He didn't wish to become enemies with the Noctaire.
"Hm," Azerin said and rose to his feet. He had just turned to leave when he heard an alpha say, looking at his cell phone.
"Tch. A beta getting beaten by a bunch of alphas near the outer area? Pathetic."
Kael, aka Azerin, heard this and walked away, ignoring them. The purpose of this meeting was fulfilled.
But then he noticed something was missing.
'Shouldn't Riven be here?' Azerin thought. 'Don't tell me he ran away!'
He was quick to mindlink with his beta, Soren. 'I am unable to find Riven. Did he step out?'
Soren's quick response came through the same link: 'No, Alpha. He must be inside. Shall I come?'
Just then, he heard the conversation going on between the group of alphas. 'A beta is being beaten up!? Don't tell me it's Riven.'
Without wasting another second, Azerin rushed to the outer area and saw a group of well-built alphas throwing kicks at Riven, who was lying on the ground while the others were enjoying the show.
The sight infuriated Azerin. As the alphas moved back, the same Alpha who ordered such an attack on Riven stepped forward. He yanked up Riven by clutching his hair.
"Now, you are ready to satisfy me. Ahhh!" He instantly cried in sharp pain when Azerin held his wrist.
"Who the fuck—" he couldn't finish off as Azerin landed a hard punch on his face, making him fly away just to crash against a pillar.
Riven lifted his head, and his lips were bleeding.
"You all shall stay ready to be punished," Azerin's voice thundered through the lobby, making everyone shiver in fear.
'So, this is the power of the Dark Lord whom everyone fears,' Riven thought.
