Inside the castle library, the head butler, Thomas, sat at a large table with the official healer, Godwin, the treasurer, Giselle, and three other people who held important positions in the barony.
Tense and anxious, they discussed what they should do.
The head butler, Thomas, said,
"You all know that Robert is just a cunning scoundrel.
I'm certain he has fled and left us to face the consequences of his reckless actions."
With a voice full of anger, the vice-captain of the guards, Bernard, supported him.
"Yes, that pig. He's going to get us all killed."
At his words, everyone's expressions darkened, and their anxiety increased.
Panicked, the treasurer, Giselle, asked,
"What are we going to do now? It's obvious that that bastard Liam will return at any moment with the duke's knights to get his revenge."
They regretfully sighed.
"Why didn't we stand up to Robert back then? If we had let Liam rule, we wouldn't have had all these problems."
