It wasn't that Goku didn't have enough points to increase his power significantly.
In fact, all the fighters in the Thug Group—including Goku—had plenty of points. But none of them had used all their points just to buy brute strength enhancements.
Why?
First, they wanted to save some points to purchase better and rarer items from the Thug Group's special mall. Powerful relics, transformation boosters, or rare dimensional abilities—these things couldn't be bought with points alone if they used them all up recklessly.
Second—and more importantly—the speed at which one's power increased through point exchanges was simply too fast.
There were no negative side effects, true—but when your strength skyrockets through an external method and not through personal cultivation, your body and reflexes can't immediately keep up. It takes time to adjust to that new power level.
So, Goku and the others adopted a hybrid approach.
They would use points to increase their base strength, then go through battles and training to synchronize with their new levels. That way, they didn't just gain power—they gained control over that power.
Because of this process, Goku hadn't used all his points yet.
He simply hadn't had time to.
If he had, if Goku had dumped all his points into raw power upgrades, then with his base power level at 22, he probably wouldn't even need Super Saiyan Blue. Super Saiyan God would have been more than enough to fight Golden Frieza.
However, Goku hadn't gone that route.
Even so, after transforming into Super Saiyan Blue, his strength now far surpassed that of Golden Frieza.
Back in the original timeline, Goku's Super Saiyan Blue form was already stronger than Frieza's Golden Form.
Now, with his strength amplified further thanks to mission rewards, point boosts, and training, the gap had only widened.
The battle hadn't even started, but everyone present could already see the outcome.
Goku had already won.
Even Frieza could feel it.
He wasn't surprised that Goku could go Super Saiyan Blue.
After all, even that bald guy—Krillin—could reach Super Blue now. So Goku being able to transform wasn't surprising at all.
What was surprising was the pressure radiating from Goku after his transformation.
It wasn't just strong—it was overwhelming.
It was suffocating.
Frieza had assumed Goku might be slightly stronger than Krillin.
But this?
This was too much.
Even before they began exchanging blows, Frieza already felt like he was standing under a mountain. It was almost unbearable.
He knew this feeling all too well.
Back on Namek, Goku had done the same thing.
Frieza remembered clearly—Goku never used his full strength right away.
Instead, he fought slowly, gradually increasing his power, allowing his opponents to think they had a chance—only to crush that hope little by little.
He would toy with their illusions of victory.
That was how Goku had treated him the first time they fought.
So even now, Frieza didn't believe Goku was using all his power.
And yet… even this partial display was enough to make him tremble.
Frieza clenched his fists.
He hated this.
He despised this feeling.
Sunlight glinted off his golden armor as he glared at Goku.
---
"Frieza," Goku said calmly, "We haven't fought since Namek. That was our first battle. This… this is round two."
Without waiting for a reply, Goku vanished from sight in an instant.
Boom!
Before Frieza could even react, Goku had closed the distance.
In that flash of movement, Goku's fist connected with Frieza's face, sending the galactic emperor flying through the air like a ragdoll.
But the attack wasn't over yet.
Before Frieza even hit the ground, Goku appeared behind him, timed perfectly.
Wham!
A fierce kick struck Frieza mid-air, launching him higher into the sky.
Goku darted upward in an instant, both hands raised above his head.
Smash!
With a thunderous crash, he slammed his fists down onto Frieza's back.
Frieza screamed in pain, hurtling down like a meteor.
Boom!
He crashed into the ground, forming a massive crater and shaking the battlefield with violent tremors.
Dust billowed into the sky.
Krillin stared, eyes wide. "Goku's strength is too much… Even with all the improvements Frieza made, he's still no match."
Was Frieza weak?
Absolutely not.
His Golden Form was the result of months of intense training and incredible potential.
But unfortunately, he had encountered Goku—a Goku who had completed multiple difficult missions, earned massive points, and enhanced his combat power through upgrades and intense training.
It wasn't Frieza's weakness.
It was Goku's overwhelming growth.
---
Frieza lay at the bottom of the crater, coughing, face contorted in pain.
His golden body was covered in cracks and scorch marks. He struggled to move but couldn't get up properly.
He stared up at Goku, who hovered above the crater with an unreadable expression.
This… was another failure.
His dream of revenge was shattered once again.
Worse, he would likely return to that place—that hellish realm he so desperately wished to escape.
Frieza tried to stand.
He wobbled, nearly collapsed, and dropped to one knee.
Goku floated down toward him.
---
"Frieza," Goku said calmly, "You've done pretty well for yourself. To reach this level of power in just a few months is honestly impressive."
"But now that you're back among the living, don't waste this chance."
"Use it to train. Grow stronger the right way. Don't go back to doing evil."
Goku wasn't trying to scold him.
He truly believed Frieza had the potential to be a worthy rival. Maybe even more.
Goku didn't want to kill him.
Why?
Because Frieza was an excellent opponent.
To be able to climb to such heights in such a short time—Frieza's talent was undeniable.
Goku hoped that Frieza would stop wasting that talent on conquest and destruction.
He hoped the next time they fought, it would be a real match—no tricks, no grudges.
Just strength versus strength.
---
Frieza lifted his head, face twisted in rage.
This scene—this unbearable mercy—reminded him of Namek.
Back then, Goku had spared him too.
He had extended a hand to help.
And that was the first time Frieza, emperor of the universe, had ever felt humiliated.
Now it was happening again.
Goku standing above him.
Sparing him again.
Showing pity.
The humiliation surged like fire in Frieza's veins.
His fingers dug into the dirt as his expression turned venomous.
---
In the original timeline, Frieza tried to get his revenge by ordering his soldiers to shoot Goku when his guard was down.
That didn't happen this time.
All of Frieza's men had already been wiped out by Goku and the others.
There was no backup.
No sneak attack.
No second chance.
Yet the rage in Frieza's heart burned just the same.
He looked up at Goku, his voice low and filled with hatred.
---
"Son Goku…" he spat, his lips curling into a sneer, "Don't think this is over."
"You didn't finish me. That was your biggest mistake."
Goku's expression didn't change. "You still don't get it, do you?"
Frieza's golden body flickered. His energy was unstable. He was injured—badly.
Yet the hatred in his eyes burned brighter than ever.
He was cornered.
Defeated.
Humiliated.
But he still had one card left.
---
The Last Killer.
Frieza reached into a concealed pouch within his battle suit and pulled out a strange, glowing capsule.
Goku narrowed his eyes.
"What's that?"
Frieza laughed maniacally, his expression twisted.
"Even in hell, I made… arrangements."
"I call it Hell Burst. One last parting gift."
Before Goku could react, Frieza crushed the capsule.
A sudden, dark pulse surged out of it, distorting the air.
The capsule wasn't just a weapon—it was a curse.
A forbidden technique smuggled from hell's prison dimension.
The ground began to shake violently. A crimson aura spread across the sky.
Krillin and the others looked up in alarm.
"Goku! That energy—it's not natural!" Piccolo shouted.
Vegeta's face turned pale. "What the hell did he do?!"
---
Goku leapt back immediately, arms raised, ready for anything.
The sky cracked with red lightning as an ominous energy storm formed around Frieza's body.
He was glowing… but not in power.
It was unstable. Self-destructive.
Goku realized it instantly.
Frieza was going to blow himself up.
But not just that—he intended to take everyone with him.
---
Frieza cackled through the pain.
"If I can't win, then I'll make sure no one does!"
"To hell with all of you!"
The red light grew brighter. The power more chaotic.
Goku clenched his fists.
This wasn't just about fighting anymore.
He had to stop this.
And quickly.
