Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Rebirth of Nyra Vora

"You killed Meher Singhania. But I'm not her anymore."

---

Darkness.

Then fire.

Then… silence.

It felt like floating in a void where pain had no name and love had no meaning. I thought I would dissolve into that nothingness—just a forgotten girl who died bleeding for people who laughed while I screamed.

But then—

A breath.

Cold. Sharp. Real.

I shot up with a gasp.

My eyes flew open to an unfamiliar ceiling—white, expensive, clinical. A luxurious room with gold trim, blackout curtains, and the scent of lilies.

Not death.

Not Ravian.

Not blood.

Where the hell was I?

I sat up slowly, my body covered in a silky gown. My hands—smooth, unbruised. I rushed to the mirror near the window, the marble floor cold under my bare feet.

And then I saw her.

Not Meher.

A stranger. A goddess.

Long raven-black hair. Piercing green eyes. Fuller lips. Sharper cheekbones. A face that could make men fall to their knees and women burn with envy.

> What the…?

I touched my reflection.

This… this wasn't my face.

Not the woman who cried herself to sleep in Ravian's bed.

Not the wife who bled across the glass.

But my memories—every scream, every scar, every moment of torture—remained intact.

> "I'm alive… but I'm not Meher anymore."

---

NYRA VORA.

That's the name on the medical file I found on the nightstand.

> Age: 25

Condition: Recovered from coma (9 months)

Legal Guardian: Mr. Rayaan Vora

Status: Confidential Identity – Private Recovery

Vora?

The name rang a bell. Billionaire tech empire. Silent, reclusive. No public photos of his daughter.

So that's who I was now—Rayaan Vora's lost daughter. Or, at least, her body.

I should've been terrified.

Instead, I smiled.

The universe didn't just give me a second chance.

It handed me the perfect mask.

---

The door creaked open.

A man stepped in.

Black suit. Silver eyes. Cold. Clean. Dangerous.

Kai.

I didn't know who he was—but his stare said he knew everything about me.

> "You're awake," he said, voice deep and emotionless.

"Finally."

> "Who are you?" I whispered.

> "Your bodyguard," he replied. "Assigned by your father."

"But we both know… you're not the real Nyra Vora."

My heart froze.

He knew.

> "How long have you known?" I asked.

He walked closer, gaze never wavering.

> "Since the first time I saw you scream in your sleep—begging for a child named Aarav and a man named Ravian to stop."

> "And you didn't tell anyone?" I asked.

Kai's jaw clenched.

> "Why would I? I saw the marks on your soul. I saw the rage in your eyes. You're not just alive—you've come back with a purpose."

He placed something on the table beside me.

A phone.

A file.

And a photo.

Ravian and Kray.

Laughing at some press event.

Their faces unchanged.

Their sins unpunished.

> "They're still alive," Kai said. "And thriving."

I looked at their photo. The same monsters who ripped my heart out, smiling for the cameras, living their perfect lives while my son cried and I died.

I picked up the photo. Touched Ravian's face with a fingertip.

> "Good," I whispered.

"Because I want them to fall in love with me again."

"And then I'll destroy them."

---

Nyra Vora has been born.

And the world will soon bleed the way I did.
