Cuts to Shimo and Shin on the jagged mountainside, wind tearing through their clothes, snow and dust swirling around them.
Frost hit stone with a crack that rolled through the mountains.
Shimo made the first move, slicing the air with his palm. A gust of icy wind tore forward, freezing the ground in a heartbeat. Shin didn't even blink, he slammed his foot down, and the earth surged up as a rocky barrier, smashing into the attack head-on. Ice and rock burst apart, raining down in shards.
Shimo slid in low, boots skimming over his own frozen path. His leg whipped out, frost aiming at Shin's ankles. Shin drove his heel into the ground, breaking the ice under him in a flash, then threw a stone-covered fist at Shimo's side.
Shimo caught it on his forearm. The impact cracked the air, blasting loose snow off the ridge. Both slid back, boots grinding against rock and ice, eyes locked and breathing hard, mountains around them shaken by their blows.
All of a sudden their attention is drawn by something. A large grey wolf lunges off a cliff and lands down rushing towards Shimo. As he charges back his arm ready to strike to animal, Shin stops and shouts.
"NIEN (no)!!" - Shin shouts in German
Shimo looks at Shin in confusion
"Don't hurt him he's mine!" - Shin
"Komm her, Junge (Come here boy)" - Shin
Wolf starts approaching Shin
"Es ist okay, Wolf, er ist kein Schaden, er ist mein Freund (It's okay Wolf, he's no harm, he's my friend)" - Shin
Woof
"Moment, du bist Deutscher? (Wait, you're German?)" - Shimo
"Du sprichst auch Deutsch! Ich fange an, dich zu mögen, Shimo. (You speak German too! I'm starting to like you Shimo.)" - Shin
"I only speak a little German, sorry" - Shimo
"But it's still good I'm impressed. This night just keeps getting better haha." - Shin
"Oh, this is Wolf. He's...sort of my, day one." - Shin
"Maybe put him on a leash next time" - Shimo whispers
"Wolf, wir sind beschäftigt, wir spielen später mit dir (Wolf we're busy, we'll play with you later)" - Shin
Wolf barks and goes to lie down in the bushes
"Now, krrk, where were we!?" - Shin as he cracks his knuckles
"Question real quick. Have you met or seen any other people like "us"?" - Shimo
"Nah. Honestly I've always thought I was just special, I never imagined other people with powers like me." - Shin
"He sounds promising" - Shimo in his head
"Look I really need to find my friends, I'm glad I met you though." - Shimo
"Wait! Okay let's make a deal, a 1V1. If you can beat me in our fight, I'll even help you find your friends!" - Shin
"..."
"Pleeease!" - Shin
"Grrrgh, fine! One match. Whoever falls on their back first looses, got it!" - Shimo
Shin smiles and activates his element
"Auf geht's! (Let's go!)" - Shin
