There were two scenes hardest to draw.
The first was when Naruto returned, learned the news, and confronted Tsunade in anger.
Naruto's grief and rage, contrasted with Tsunade's concealed sorrow—woven through layers of memory, this scene captured her helplessness in full.
The second was of Naruto alone, when Iruka approached holding a stick ice.
Akaba revised repeatedly, spending hours on it. While his shadow clones had long completed their tasks, he had just barely finished his own drawing.
It was already nearly evening when he finished, so instead of sending someone else from the clan, he sent a shadow clone using the Flying Thunder God technique.
At the factory earlier that day, a batch of specially crafted kunai had been produced. Originally made as an afterthought and there were plenty left over, he gifted one set to Izumi Yamano.
After returning home and eating dinner, Akaba went back to his room to research the Rinnegan.
The Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan became available on the Exchange List at the cost of five thousand points.
In terms of abilities, the Eternal Mangekyo didn't surpass the regular Mangekyo by much, but it had no side effects—no risk of blindness no matter how extensively used.
That alone was worth every point.
Yet even after purchasing those upgrades, when he checked the price of the Rinnegan, it hadn't decreased significantly.
He paused for a moment before understanding dawned on him.
The Rinnegan arose from Six Paths Chakra stimulating the Eternal Mangekyo. Madara possessed Indra's chakra as a reincarnation while also obtaining Hashirama Cells to supply Asura's chakra. Only after fusing them into Six Paths Chakra did he gain the Rinnegan.
Akaba, however, lacked these conditions.
The function of point redemption helped Akaba extract Yang Release and Yin Release chakra, assisting him further in merging the Six Paths Chakra and stimulating the eyes.
Ten thousand points? Dirt cheap!
Akaba currently had over sixty thousand points. Thirty thousand had been reserved for the Vampire Fruit, leaving thirty thousand usable points. Fortunately, combining the Eternal Mangekyo and the Rinnegan wouldn't consume too many of those.
Yet his hesitation wasn't mainly about the eyes—it was about the Hashirama Cells.
From last time's test, he confirmed that the one thousand-point version of Hashirama Cells was merely a crude version requiring personal fusion. If he purchased that, would he still be able to fuse and control it after obtaining the eyes?
Also, at that one thousand-point price, would the Hashirama Cells affect only a localized area or spread throughout his entire body?
Akaba wasn't sure.
After thinking about it, he ultimately decided not to redeem the Hashirama Cells yet. The Uzumaki Clan, also descendants of Asura, could serve as a less effective alternative.
Until certain about potential side effects, there was no need to rush.
Resolving this, he immediately exchanged for the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
The evolution of his eyes was extremely painful—like someone stabbing directly into his eyeballs. Yet with his strong spiritual endurance, he could feel his ocular power continuously increasing within.
The ocular might of the Eternal Mangekyo was definitely stronger than the ordinary Mangekyo.
After a short while, the pain began to fade.
Akaba covered his eyes and breathed heavily for a moment, his eyes stinging. Slowly removing his hand, he stared into the mirror—seeing the six tomoe now swirling within.
The pattern of the six tomoe increased by three, resembling more of a whirlpool, especially when rotating. It resembled flowing water—or a slowly spinning electric fan.
He opened his eyes and tested them out.
After activating the Eternal Kaleidoscope, he could still revert the tomoe state back to the ordinary Kaleidoscope and even to the basic three-tomoe form.
Should he power up all at once?
He hesitated for a moment before exchanging points for the Rinnegan. The next instant, he sensed a change within his chakra.
This chakra felt unique. Studying it through the system, Akaba immediately understood what had happened—the system extracted Asura Chakra from the Semi-Sage Body Constitution and partial Indra Chakra from his Sharingan.
This was a feature of the system's capabilities.
Otherwise, how could Obito ever synthesize it on his own with Hashirama Cells and a Sharingan, without needing to wait desperately for Nagato's Rinnegan?
There were conditions involved.
Without the system, even if Akaba possessed a Kaleidoscope Sharingan and had transplanted Senju Hashirama cells, completing the Rinnegan would have been impossible.
After synthesis, he felt a wave of weakness.
Glancing at the system panel, he quickly figured out why—due to lacking Hashirama Cells, his body had used the Semi-Sage Body Constitution of the Uzumaki clan as a substitute, which resulted in a drop of fifty points in his physical strength after evolution.
At the same time, however, his spirit points increased by ten.
Whether this was an effect of the Eternal Kaleidoscope or the Rinnegan itself was unclear, but either way, it was good news.
As for his physical strength,
it had dropped to one hundred and fifty, and accordingly, its price also decreased. Refilling it required just over twelve thousand points—a manageable amount. After spending some points, he restored it to two hundred.
After exchanging several abilities, he was left with only over twenty thousand points.
That wasn't enough to buy the Vampire Fruit, although he didn't need it right now, so there was no need to worry about that yet. What concerned him most at the moment was whether he could revert the Rinnegan back.
He tried to control the eye's power. At first, nothing happened, but after many attempts, soon the eye reverted to the Eternal Kaleidoscope state, then further regressed to the normal Kaleidoscope, Three Tomoe, and finally disappeared entirely.
Perfect!
Akaba exhaled deeply in relief—it was fortunate he could revert it back.
The system contained additional memories, explaining the Rinnegan's abilities.
He realized his Rinnegan lacked special techniques like "Wheel Grave Prison," but while active, he could still use the Sharingan's powers normally.
"Since I'm not the reincarnation of either Indra or Asura, even with the system creating a counterfeit version, there's naturally going to be a gap in effectiveness."
Akaba understood the reason clearly.
As long as he acquired Hashirama's authentic Sage Body later on, he should be able to make up for this deficiency and naturally develop the ability to awaken the Rinnegan.
In addition, enhancing his physical strength and spirit points beyond certain thresholds might also compensate.
He considered these thoughts for only a moment before deciding to stop worrying about them for now.
With the Rinnegan available at present, at least he could challenge Madara head-on instead of fleeing helplessly like a mouse seeing a cat.
Having fulfilled his long-held dream, Akaba settled down and drifted into a deep, contented sleep.
The manga was usually released before he woke up. By the next morning, when he returned to the village, quite a few people had already bought copies, and some had finished reading a whole volume.
However, those living in remote areas wouldn't get their copies until now.
Like Orochimaru.
The copy he held was brought by Tsunade. Incidentally, he hadn't even read yesterday's issue yet.
"Manga? I'm in the middle of critical research—I don't have time for that."
Orochimaru's voice carried obvious fatigue.
Back at the research institute until now, he hadn't rested at all.
"It's quite entertaining. And you just so happen to show up. Go ahead, take a look and enjoy your little cameo."
Tsunade smirked lightly.
"Appear on stage?"
Didn't he already exit the stage?
Orochimaru was momentarily taken aback but accepted it, nodded, then sat down.
Tsunade glanced over at the lab.
These people had Summoning Snake powers fused into them, displaying mutations like scales and partial serpent transformation. With Evil God Chakra assisting, they didn't die, though their mutated state constantly consumed chakra.
When the Evil God Chakra neared depletion, Orochimaru would remove the mutation.
Therefore, some cultists had already lost the Evil God Chakra and regained their senses, yet rather than showing gratitude, they believed Orochimaru had stolen the power granted by the Evil God.
In short, a group of lunatics.
He flipped through the pages absentmindedly...
The Sharingan fascinated him. However, his current interest wasn't so much about its power, but more about how this Sharingan thing actually worked.
How it originated, what exactly it entailed, and such topics.
Of course, it wasn't only the Sharingan.
He also held great interest in Hashirama Senju's unique physical constitution and had conducted extensive research on it.
Soon enough, he finally reached the part where "he himself" reappeared.
From the cursed seal burst forth Yamata no Orochi — the eight-headed giant serpent.
Watching it for the second time, it still looked hideous.
Orochimaru inwardly criticized while lamenting his character's early exit once again, then that was it.
He fundamentally didn't consider it as himself, so naturally felt no strong emotions.
As for the second volume.
After reading one or two chapters, Orochimaru suddenly chuckled softly.
"Why are you laughing?"
Tsunade found it odd. She'd read this section before; nothing particularly funny stood out—there were even many heartbreaking moments—so she couldn't understand why he laughed.
"This Madara might be fake."
Orochimaru pointed at the drawing.
Thinking deeply, he mused for quite a while before saying, "Based on my research on the Sharingan, the conditions for awakening the Kaleidoscope Sharingan are extremely strict—it definitely cannot be triggered merely by Tsukuyomi. Kakashi's Kamui seems suspicious."
"You mean..."
Tsunade was taken aback.
Why didn't I notice that when I read it?
After contemplating further, Orochimaru shared his speculation: "Maybe it's Obito."
As a reader, he could see many things unseen by characters inside the manga. Even considering this advantage, deducing such insights was impressive.
He continued reading slowly and calmly, enjoying the process.
Right until the last two chapters.
Orochimaru's hands paused for several seconds before flipping forward again. Upon reaching the end, he let out an eerie laugh, speaking with complicated emotions: "Out of the three Sannin, only you remain now."
"She isn't me. Do I look like such a cursed bringer of misfortune?"
Tsunade smirked.
She held Orochimaru's research notes, seemingly indifferent, yet clearly discontented with the storyline.
What a pile of crap.
Growing up, she never won without inviting catastrophe. Every triumph ended in tragedy—it practically painted her as a jinxed soul destined to bring doom.
Certainly.
To be fair, this part of the story was genuinely touching and had plenty of tear-jerking moments—Tsunade herself was moved.
At that moment, she felt something and turned her gaze toward the door.
A man, startled, immediately ran off.
Tsunade glared at him with displeasure and frowned. "What's that guy from next door called again?"
"Dan, the son of that ninja we were treating who had mastered Spirit Transformation."
Orochimaru reminded her.
"He must've come here to laugh at me! What an asshole! It's all Akaba's fault, no doubt about it!"
Tsunade snapped furiously.
Orochimaru gave a quiet smile, set aside his manga, and returned to his research. He understood now—Tsunade had just come here to complain.
"Aren't you supposed to tell Akaba that yourself?"
"I'm leaving. My jutsu has already succeeded. No need for me to come back anymore."
Without commenting further, Tsunade waved and walked away.
Thanks to the inspiration provided by those cultists, she'd already formed a rough concept of [Creation Rebirth], along with a plan in mind. It's just that her current skill level hadn't reached the required standard yet.
From now on, there would be no need for further research.
