Deep in the heart of Willow Wood, where fireflies danced like stars and the trees whispered secrets in the wind, lived a young red squirrel named Tibby.
Tibby was smaller than the other squirrels. Her fur was fluffier, her ears stuck out, and she never stayed still. While others stored nuts or practiced jumping, Tibby collected odd things — shiny stones, feathers shaped like arrows, and scraps of paper the wind carried from the human village beyond the hills.
But the strangest thing she ever found… was a map.
It came on a night when the moon was full, and Tibby couldn't sleep. She scrambled out of her hollow and found it drifting down like a snowflake, glowing faintly in the moonlight.
The map was tiny — just the size of a leaf — and drawn in golden ink. It showed the Willow Wood, but not like Tibby knew it.
There were hidden paths, strange symbols, and a big red "X" at the heart of the forest, where no animal dared go.
On the back, in tiny letters, it said:
> "To the one who finds this: The forest is waking. And it remembers. Follow the trail of moonlight. — W.W."
Tibby's whiskers twitched with excitement.
"W.W.?" she whispered. "Willow Wood… or someone in it?"
She didn't know. But her heart thudded like a drum.
> Tomorrow, she would follow the map.
And so, with the map tucked under her paw, Tibby scampered back into her tree.
She didn't know yet that others were watching.
From the shadows, a clever fox, an old owl, and a badger with a secret past would soon join her.
And far beneath the roots of the forest, something ancient was beginning to stir...
