Chapter 318 - New Mission

Kitazawa came back to his senses and put down the Hōzuki Castle documents. He had already decided how to handle this matter, so it could be temporarily set aside.

Kitazawa continued looking through the remaining documents.

However, there was nothing noteworthy; the entire Ninja World was relatively calm.

After all, according to the original timeline, major events in the Ninja World wouldn't occur until the Akatsuki Organization launched the Eye of the Moon Plan.

Before that, there were also the joint Chunin Exams between the Hidden Sand Village and Konoha, as well as the Konoha Crush Plan.

But both of those events were initiated by Orochimaru impersonating the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa.

Now that Orochimaru had returned to Konoha, the only possible event that might still happen was the joint Chunin Exams.

But even that was uncertain.

After finishing all the documents, Kitazawa went to the Hokage Office.

He raised his hand, ready to knock, when he suddenly remembered that Tsunade was probably taking a nap at this time, so he directly twisted the doorknob.

Kitazawa walked in and subconsciously glanced at the Hokage desk—it was empty. His gaze shifted to the sofa.

Tsunade was lying on her side on the sofa, sleeping soundly. She had taken off her dark green haori, revealing her sleeveless top.

Because she was lying on her side, the sleeveless top was affected by gravity, tilting downward until it was completely taut, looking precariously close to slipping.

"Why didn't you knock?" Tsunade opened her eyes and met Kitazawa's gaze.

With her strength, even while sleeping, she had noticed him the moment he entered.

"If it were you, you wouldn't be knocking—you'd be kicking the door down." Kitazawa blinked and said.

"If you dare kick the door, I'll dare kick you." Tsunade gave him a sidelong glance.

"That's a double standard." Kitazawa sat on the sofa opposite her. "As Hokage, shouldn't you be fair and just?"

"Fairness and justice are decided by me." Tsunade sat up, snorted, and said proudly, "I am the Hokage!"

"Sure enough, once you become Hokage, you automatically learn this phrase."

Kitazawa had originally wanted to say, "Once you become Hokage, you become shameless," but for the sake of survival, he held back.

"Didn't you teach me that?" Tsunade suddenly laughed, smiling radiantly at him.

Kitazawa was slightly startled—true enough. He had told Tsunade this in the past to deal with the two Advisors.

The only difference was that now, kicking the door was strictly prohibited. A major upgrade.

"I didn't teach you that to use against me," Kitazawa complained.

"Who told you to disturb my nap?" Tsunade yawned.

"Then you continue sleeping." Kitazawa paused. "To apologize, I can even offer a lap pillow service."

Tsunade's gaze sharpened instantly.

"You'd be the first to enjoy it," Kitazawa said seriously.

"Did you come to me just for this?" Tsunade reached up to tidy her hair, messy from sleep.

"There's something else," Kitazawa said with a slight smile. "But before doing anything big, you need proper rest. A nap is the most important thing."

"Then come here." Tsunade patted the sofa.

Kitazawa paused for a moment, then walked over and sat down beside her.

Tsunade rested her head on his lap, lying on her side and facing the window.

Kitazawa's gaze drifted downward again—toward the taut sleeveless top.

"What's the matter?" Tsunade asked casually, eyes closed.

"ANBU discovered that the Land of Sea is researching something called the Ultimate Summoned Beast."

Kitazawa explained, "I'm worried something might happen, so I plan to go there with my students tomorrow and complete a mission at the same time."

Tsunade said nothing.

Logically speaking, this was an internal matter of the Land of Sea, and Konoha shouldn't interfere. But the Ninja World had experienced several major crises caused by small nations.

The most typical examples were the Box of Ultimate Bliss in Kusagakure and the demon Moryo of the Land of Demons.

The Box of Ultimate Bliss had been opened once long ago, and there were rumors that Kusagakure almost ruled the Ninja World because of it.

This rumor led to Kusagakure being divided into two factions: Grass Fruit and Grass Flower.

The Grass Fruit faction was hawkish—wanting to open the Box again to restore Kusagakure's strength.

Kitazawa could only say that rumors were dangerous. The truth was likely that opening the Box released Satori, causing massive casualties.

After all, Satori's abilities were terrifying.

As for Moryo of the Land of Demons, it was a demon from another realm, commanding an immortal army.

It once waged war against the Land of Demons. All Five Great Villages sent support, and ultimately, the Priestess Miroku sacrificed herself to seal it.

In Naruto: Shippuden the Movie, Moryo was released again.

Konoha sent Naruto, Sakura, Hyuga Neji, and Rock Lee to assist. With the help of the Priestess Shion, it was sealed once more.

Kitazawa considered whether to tell Tsunade about the Box of Ultimate Bliss, but then he heard rhythmic breathing.

He looked down and couldn't help shaking his head. Tsunade had already fallen asleep.

Despite having the Yin Seal to regulate her physical condition, she still slacked off and napped constantly.

It could only be said—she truly didn't want to be Hokage.

If Danzo knew, he'd claw his way out of the Pure Land just to lecture her for not appreciating the position.

Kitazawa closed his eyes and leaned back on the sofa. He didn't sleep. Instead, a thought crossed his mind, and he opened the system.

The mission panel listed the missions he had yet to complete. Kitazawa glanced through them—there were quite a few.

His gaze fell on Kimimaro's system mission.

He would most likely not get first place in this Monthly Exam; he would have to find a difficult mission for him to perform in the next Monthly Exam.

Kitazawa then looked at Ino's system mission: to defeat Sakura once. He fell into contemplation.

The current Ino was somewhat similar to the previous version of Kurenai, skilled in Genjutsu.

However, Sakura's strong Chakra control allowed her to dispel Genjutsu very quickly, and with Water Release, she had a slight edge.

Genjutsu is Yin Release, but Yin Release is not Genjutsu.

Kitazawa suddenly had an idea. He planned to modify the Mind Body Switch Technique.

The effect of the Mind Body Switch Technique is that strengthened mental energy flies out from the fingertips, allowing the caster's soul to enter and control the target's body.

What if he gave up control and switched to attack instead?

He would only need to remove the latter half of the Mind Body Switch Technique's effect, retaining the mental energy flying out from the fingertips to create an impact.

Kitazawa felt it was worth a try.

He had originally intended to teach Ino other Ninjutsu, but as the saying goes, not everyone has the talent of Naruto and his peers.

Ino was most proficient in Yin Release, so learning Yin Release Ninjutsu would be the fastest for her; other Ninjutsu were not suitable.

Kitazawa had already mastered the Mind Body Switch Technique through the system, so modifying it would not be difficult.

After all, he didn't intend to create an S-rank Yin Release Ninjutsu; his goal was a C-rank or B-rank Yin Release Ninjutsu.

Sasuke's system mission and the system mission to defeat Satori could be done together, just waiting for the Box of Ultimate Bliss.

The remaining system missions primarily involved modifying Ninjutsu.

One was to modify the Medical Forbidden Technique: Cellular Activation, another was to modify the Curse Seal of Earth, and one was to teach Haku three Ice Release Ninjutsu.

Besides these, there were system missions such as healing Nagato, forming a new Konoha's Sannin, cultivating trusted subordinates, and Naruto's perfect Jinchuriki.

Half an hour later, Tsunade sat up and stretched.

"Aren't you going to sleep a little longer?" Kitazawa looked at her and asked.

"That's enough. Too much sleep isn't good, and it's not nighttime." Tsunade shook her head and said.

"Then I'll be going now. See you next time." Kitazawa stood up and said.

As for the Box of Ultimate Bliss, he planned to wait until Uchiha Itachi's investigation results were out.

"Hmm." Tsunade watched him leave.

After the door closed, the corners of her mouth curved upwards as she walked towards the Hokage Office.

Kitazawa stopped just outside the Hokage Building.

Because he unexpectedly saw two familiar figures.

Hinata and Ino were sitting side-by-side on a tree, looking in the direction of the Hokage Building.

What were they doing? Kitazawa was momentarily puzzled.

"Teacher Kitazawa!" Ino noticed him and quickly jumped down from the tree.

Hinata followed closely, and after landing, she immediately caught up.

The two ran to Kitazawa's front.

"Are you specifically waiting for me?" Kitazawa realized and asked with a smile.

"Teacher Kurenai said you were here," Ino replied.

They had first gone to Kitazawa's house, but no one was there. Kurenai told them he was in the Hokage Building, so they waited on the tree outside the door.

"What do you need me for?" Kitazawa asked curiously.

"I want to defeat Sakura!" Ino clenched her small fists and said.

"What about you?" Kitazawa looked at Hinata and asked.

"Me too," Hinata said subconsciously.

"Eh?" Ino was stunned for a moment and asked in confusion, "But didn't you defeat Sakura a long time ago?"

Hinata reacted, and her small face immediately flushed.

She quickly stammered and explained, "I... I mean... I... I want to go further!"

"As expected of Hinata." Ino didn't think much of it and praised, "You've already entered the top five and are still working so hard, wanting to improve."

Hinata's face turned completely red upon hearing this.

She subconsciously lowered her head, her small hands clutching the hem of her clothes, nervously rubbing them.

Ino was looking for Kitazawa for a new special training to defeat Sakura. Hinata's goal was for Kitazawa to be her squad leader for the next Monthly Exam.

The two of them coincidentally met on the way, so they came together. Now, Ino's misunderstanding made Hinata feel very embarrassed.

Seeing this, Kitazawa couldn't help but smile. He probably guessed why Hinata came to him.

It was just that Ino's interference led it in a strange direction.

"The new special training will start next week."

Kitazawa thought for a moment and said, "Don't think about these things for the next two days, just complete your mission first."

"Okay, Teacher Kitazawa!" Ino's eyes lit up at the words.

Her purpose in finding Kitazawa was for new special training, and now her wish was granted.

Hinata was stunned. She also had new special training?

But as a member of the Hyuga Clan, what else could she learn besides Gentle Fist?

Moreover, she hadn't fully mastered her Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms.

"Go back and rest." Kitazawa reached out and patted Hinata's head.

"Teacher Kitazawa, goodbye!" Ino waved her hand with a smile on her face.

Hinata's personality was not so outgoing. After giving a soft greeting, she turned and left with some reluctance.

Kitazawa watched her, a thoughtful expression on his face.

He had already thought of Ino's new special training when he was in the Hokage Office.

But Hinata's arrival was unexpected. He hadn't originally planned to arrange new special training for her, but her mention of it gave Kitazawa an idea.

More precisely, it wasn't her who gave it, but Orochimaru.

Of the Sound Four, only Kimimaro and Tayuya were currently in Konoha Village.

Among the other three, there was one named Kidōmaru, whose Secret Technique was similar to Spider-Man's, specializing in creating spider silk.

Besides spider silk, he could also create a kind of spider sticky gold.

This sticky gold was very malleable but would quickly harden upon contact with air. Therefore, he could use this sticky gold to create various Ninja tools.

Among them was a bow, the Spider War Bow: Terrible Split.

Kidōmaru's bow caused quite a bit of trouble for Neji.

Kitazawa had an idea after remembering the original work in his previous life. If this bow were given to Neji, with his Byakugan, he should be able to make even greater use of it.

After Kitazawa transmigrated, his strength increased, and he also learned Gentle Fist. Now it seemed this idea was not wrong.

But why didn't the Hyuga Clan use bows? The problem actually lay with the bow itself.

A bow of the same material was far less useful than commonly used kunai or shuriken. By the time one drew the bow and nocked an arrow, a kunai or shuriken would already be in front of them.

If one wanted to use a bow, that bow must have high attack speed, high penetration, and high accuracy—like Kidōmaru's Spider War Bow: Terrible Split.

Such a bow would inevitably be very expensive, and even if the Hyuga Clan had money, they wouldn't waste it like that.

Equipping the entire clan was unlikely, but equipping only Hinata and Neji wouldn't be a big problem.

The only issue was the material. The best material would be both light and strong, and ideally, able to produce arrows at any time.

After all, carrying so many arrows was inconvenient, and replacing arrows during battle was even more prone to accidents.

Kitazawa suddenly let out a soft sound of surprise.

Theoretically, producing arrows at any time was not very possible.

Unless, like Kidōmaru, one had a special physique that allowed one to spit out sticky gold and then use sticky gold to create bows and arrows.

But Yin Release could create form from nothing.

In other words, if arrows were created with Yin Release, theoretically, as long as there was enough Yin Release power, they would be infinite and could be created at any time.

Speaking of Yin Release, Kitazawa thought of the Box of Ultimate Bliss again.

So, could the Box of Ultimate Bliss be dismantled to make a bow?

In the original story, when Naruto's Wind Release: Rasenshuriken hit the Box of Ultimate Bliss, it was completely unharmed.

Then, if Satori were sealed in this bow, its Yin Release power could be extracted to create arrows.

"I'm a genius!" Kitazawa couldn't help but praise himself.

Of course, theoretical feasibility does not mean practical feasibility. Whether it would work or not would have to wait until he got the Box of Ultimate Bliss.

If the Box of Ultimate Bliss was too sturdy to be made into a bow, then everything would be for naught.

If it were possible, then Hinata's potential would be much higher than in the original story.

[Current Mission: Forge two Yin Release Bows.]

[Mission Reward: Master-level Yin Release Chakra Nature Transformation.]

[Accept?]

A suddenly triggered system mission made Kitazawa raise an eyebrow.

Did this mean his idea had great feasibility?

But he estimated it wouldn't be so easy to complete. Because the reward for this mission was quite generous.

Kitazawa returned home.

After a night of hard work, it was the next day, Saturday.

---

Nine in the morning.

On the Ninja Academy's Training Ground, twelve students were already waiting.

The twelve students formed four teams, and they were all students scheduled to depart for missions today.

"Tayuya, didn't you sleep well? You look listless." Tenten noticed Tayuya's expression and couldn't help but ask.

"I'm fine." Tayuya pouted and said, "I just don't want to... never mind."

She caught a glimpse of Kitazawa in the distance and quickly swallowed the rest of her words.

"Do you want some potato chips?" Choji reached out and placed a bag of potato chips in front of them.

"Thanks, I don't eat them." Tenten shook her head. She had just eaten breakfast and wasn't hungry yet.

"What flavor is this?" Tayuya picked up a potato chip and asked.

"Barbecue flavor," Choji replied.

"Why isn't there a chocolate flavor?" Tayuya took a bite of the potato chip and asked.

"...?" Choji's face was full of question marks, almost asking where this heretic came from.

"Potato chips taste better when they're salty." Tenten couldn't help but interject, "Sweet potato chips, I can't imagine."

"You Konoha are still too conservative, why can't there be sweet ones?" Tayuya snorted lightly and asked.

"What are you talking about?" Kitazawa walked forward, raised his hand, and tapped her on the forehead.

Tayuya dared not be angry and could only obediently shut up.

"This is Kurenai, you can just call her Teacher Kurenai." Kitazawa paused and said, "Besides her, Karin is also coming with us."

"Tenten, Choji, and Tayuya, good morning." Karin poked her head out from behind Kitazawa and smiled, greeting them.

She had only received the notice this morning. She was startled at first, but going out on a mission was also good.

After Tsunade and Kitazawa rescued her and brought her back to Konoha Village, she never left the village again.

"Let's go." After Kitazawa finished his introductions, he walked towards the main gate of Konoha Village.

"Teacher Kitazawa, what's our mission?" Tenten followed behind him and asked.

"To Summoning Island in the Land of Sea." Kitazawa casually introduced, "It's an island where many summoning beasts live."

"summoning beasts?" Tenten immediately became excited and asked, "Can we sign contracts with them?"

Tayuya's heart also stirred upon hearing this. Although her three Doki were quite strong, they seemed insufficient in the Genius Class.

If she got another powerful Summoning Beast, perhaps her ranking could improve further.

"You can, but they're not as powerful as you imagine." Kitazawa changed the subject and said, "If you encounter suitable ones, you can sign contracts with them."

He remembered there was an enormous eagle on Summoning Island.

In the original work, it was this eagle that captured Might Guy, which led Yamato, Aoba Yamashiro, and Naruto to Summoning Island.
