Chapter 14: Anticipation – Fallen Mother

Zhong Niu's gaze was sharp and direct, his eyes pure as water. Hearing his words, Mom was momentarily stunned and asked, "What's wrong?"

Without replying, Zhong Niu stood on tiptoe and reached toward the top of Mom's head.

After a moment, he pulled a bit of spider silk from Mom's black hair.

Mom saw it, her confusion vanished, and she turned around, looking up at the ceiling beam. She wondered aloud, "That's odd, I just cleaned last month how is there a spiderweb again?"

With Mom's back to Zhong Niu, he remained behind her. At that moment, I could clearly see Zhong Niu still standing on tiptoe, his hips pushing slightly forward, as if he was about to press against Mom's shapely buttocks.

Mom was still wearing the same black, three-quarter-length yoga pants from the night before. The cotton, elastic fabric outlined her full, round curves perfectly, the shape of her buttocks clearly defined, perky and round.

Zhong Niu and Mom were perfectly in line. His hips pushed forward a bit, and his crotch was bulging, tenting his pants.

I couldn't help but notice that Zhong Niu's "equipment" was truly impressive much more so than mine. Standing on tiptoe, his legs slightly bent forward, his body leaned toward Mom, almost touching her.

I thought, what is he trying to do? Does he really want to press his giant thing against Mom's perky butt? I didn't believe he'd dare if he did, Mom would definitely kick him out.

But Zhong Niu wasn't stupid; he must have realized the consequences, so I was sure he wouldn't do it.

A look of difficult hesitation flashed in Zhong Niu's eyes, but in the end, he didn't dare press his hard, hot bulge against Mom's butt he was still afraid.

Seeing Zhong Niu's discouraged look, I almost laughed, but just then, he seemed to get an idea. He reached out as if to hug Mom's slender waist, and began to move his hips very gently back and forth. His movements were so subtle as to be almost unnoticeable.

Even so, Zhong Niu looked pleased, a hint of happiness appearing on his face just this much was enough for him.

Mom was completely unaware of Zhong Niu's little actions behind her. She kept examining the ceiling beam, trying to spot any more webs for the next big cleaning.

"Nothing else, it seems just that one spot." Mom looked around carefully, found nothing, and turned back around.

At that instant, Zhong Niu quickly pulled back and returned to normal.

"Auntie, it's probably just that one. Don't worry, I'll clean it up right away," Zhong Niu volunteered.

"I know you're diligent, but you can't skip breakfast. Come on, let's eat first," Mom said.

"Okay."

The two of them left the kitchen, while I went back to the living room, pretending I'd just come out.

When Mom saw me, her expression was a bit complicated, but it passed quickly. She told me and Zhong Niu to sit down and eat breakfast together.

During breakfast, Mom told us a guest would be coming for lunch. I just said "oh" having guests was nothing unusual for me.

As vice mayor, Mom had many guests gift-givers, people seeking favors, all sorts. She was already a pro at handling them, unfazed by anything.

It was Sunday, my homework was done, so I could play as much as I liked. After breakfast, I glanced at Zhong Niu, wondering when he'd go out.

But Zhong Niu didn't go out at all. He stayed home and actually picked up a broom to clean the kitchen. Mom looked pleased and shot me a glare.

"I get it, I get it." I didn't dare slack off, so I joined Zhong Niu in cleaning the kitchen.

Zhong Niu was incredibly meticulous so much so that it was hard to connect him to the guy making sneaky moves behind Mom earlier.

While cleaning, I said, "Ah Niu, I heard you and Zhao Nan'er are dating?"

Zhong Niu looked at me, confused: "Dating?"

"You don't even know what that means? Boyfriend and girlfriend, a couple," I explained.

"Oh, no." Zhong Niu shook his head.

"Really?" I didn't believe it.

"Of course not." Zhong Niu looked completely sincere, so I didn't press further.

After cleaning the kitchen, we cleaned the living room. By then, Mom had gone out and it wasn't clear when she'd be back.

It took about an hour to finish. I collapsed on my bed, exhausted.

Zhong Niu, meanwhile, only had a bit of sweat on his forehead and didn't look tired at all. He wore a white tank top, his skin tanned, and his arms showed faint biceps. In just a week at our house, he'd changed a lot no longer skinny, but strong. Compared to him, I looked pretty weak.

Then Zhong Niu did something odd he brought a stool to an open space and started twisting his upper body, moving side to side.

"What are you doing?"

"Exercising," Zhong Niu said, putting his hands on the stool and doing push-ups, his biceps even more obvious.

With nothing else to do, I joined him, but after just a dozen I was spent. Zhong Niu, though, kept going over a hundred, which amazed me.

Around 10:30, Mom came home, with her secretary Qi He, who carried several bags while Mom had just a purse.

"All right, Secretary Qi, just put the stuff over there," Mom said.

"Okay." Qi He put the bags down, rolled up his sleeves, and said, "Mayor, you just sit and relax I'll handle the rest."

Mom frowned slightly. "How many times have I told you, I'm just the vice mayor. Even when there's no one else, call me what you should don't use the wrong title!"

Qi He apologized, "Yes, sorry, Vice Mayor Su, my mistake."

Mom, arms crossed, said, "All right, get to work."

With outsiders, Mom was always cold and aloof. Her hair was up in a bun with a single hairpin, elegant and noble, like an ice queen her aura was undeniable.

Her arms crossed, her full, high breasts squeezed together in a tempting way, her waist slim, hips round, and legs long and straight.

Mom wore an OL uniform, her legs in nude stockings, her skin glowing, her movements graceful, every gesture exuding mature charm.

Qi He took the groceries to the kitchen. Today's guest was clearly important, and for Qi He, cooking for such people was an honor and a chance to impress.

Mom set her purse on the sofa, looked around, and said, "It's very clean."

I boasted, "Mom, you flatter me with your son on the job, of course it's clean!"

Mom rolled her eyes. "Don't I know you? Ah Niu did most of the work, right?"

She looked at Zhong Niu: "Ah Niu, thank you."

Zhong Niu shook his head, "Not at all, I'm happy to help."

"See? You should learn from Ah Niu." Mom poked my forehead with her finger.

Around 11:30, the doorbell rang. I volunteered to answer it. Outside was a chubby man, about fifty, hair graying at the temples. He smiled and patted my head: "You must be Mayor Su's son, Fang Fan."

I didn't like him, but let him in.

In the living room, when he saw Mom, his eyes lit up and roamed over her body from her full chest to her slim waist, round hips, and long, stocking-clad legs. He just stood there, staring.

"Mr. Zhu, welcome," Mom said, standing up and offering her hand.

He was momentarily stunned, then eagerly grabbed her hand with both of his, feeling her smooth skin and saying, "Mayor Su, you're so beautiful today. Just seeing you makes me lose my heart."

Blatant flirting, no attempt to hide it. I wanted to strangle him.

Snap! I looked at Zhong Niu he'd broken a pencil in his hand, glaring at Mr. Zhu, fists clenched, neck veins bulging, ready to charge.

Luckily, Mom calmly withdrew her hand and invited Mr. Zhu to sit. He did, but couldn't take his eyes off her.

Qi He brought out dish after dish, but Mr. Zhu only cared about Mom his intentions obvious.

I whispered to Qi He, "Uncle Qi, who is this fat guy? He's so annoying."

Qi He whispered back: Mr. Zhu Dezhi, a powerful company boss. Even the mayor has to respect him. Mom invited him for a tourism project no one else wanted only he was willing.

As for why, it was obvious from his behavior.

"Please eat, Mr. Zhu," Mom said politely, pretending not to notice his lecherous gaze.

Mr. Zhu laughed, "Yes, yes!"

Qi He poured drinks. Mom raised her glass, smiled, and said, "Mr. Zhu, we'll rely on you for that tourism project. Thank you in advance."

She downed a glass of white liquor, bold and unflinching. Mr. Zhu, meanwhile, stared at her chest as she drank, eyes like knives it made me uncomfortable.

But I noticed Zhong Niu looked even more upset, glaring at Mr. Zhu the whole time.

The meal was otherwise uneventful. Mr. Zhu tried several times to take advantage of Mom, but she deftly avoided him and got him drunk, letting Qi He send him home.

Mom drank a lot, her cheeks rosy, eyes a bit unfocused, lips slightly parted, looking at me and Zhong Niu with a charming, mature allure. "Fang Fan, Ah Niu, you two clean up I'm going to nap."

With that, she swayed her hips and went to her room, leaving us to clean up.

Mom slept until 6 p.m., then, finding it too late to cook, took us out for dinner. We got home around 8 p.m.

At home, Mom told Zhong Niu to shower first. When he returned to his room, she told me to shower. But I remembered what she'd said the night before.

"Mom!"

"What is it?"

"Last night you said…" I said cautiously, "you'd… do that for me…"

Mom froze, then remembered. Her beautiful face turned frosty, her gaze cold I panicked, thinking she was angry.

But then the frost faded, and she hesitated, then said, "Go shower first… then wait for me in your room."

As she said this, her fair, jade-like face flushed with a hint of rosy red.
