The healers were in the room examining Jane while Thor waited outside with Goku.
"I hope it's nothing serious," Thor muttered.
They came out and told Thor that they didn't know exactly what it was, but it was a viscous red and dark energy fluctuation that was infecting her and also defending her, as if she were its host.
Although the healers could detect the energy, they didn't know exactly what it was. Odin was present and listened to the conversation with his vast knowledge of cosmic history and the legends of the Nine Realms.
Thor, without losing hope, approached his father to see if, with his knowledge, he would know what was happening.
"Father of all, with your vast knowledge, could you tell me what is happening to Jane?" Thor said.
"I think I know what is affecting her. But to tell you, you must understand why it is happening. Long ago, my father, Bor, who millennia ago had led the forces of Asgard in a war against the Dark Elves, an ancient race led by Malekith. The Dark Elves wanted to use the Aether to plunge the Nine Realms into primordial darkness, returning the universe to its original state before light. My father defeated them and sealed the Aether in an inaccessible place, believing he had destroyed it forever. The appearance of the Aether in Jane was linked to the cosmic event known as the Convergence, a rare moment when the Nine Realms align, weakening the barriers between them and allowing the Aether to escape from its prison. Malekith and the Dark Elves would resurface to claim the Aether and complete their ancient plan. Unfortunately, I don't know how to remove the Aether from the host," said Odin.
Upon hearing his father Odin's explanation, Thor understood his dreams and visions, and also realized that there was no way to remove the Aether from Jane for now.
But suddenly there was an explosion in the cells coming from the dungeons, and the Dark Elves appeared.
Dark Elves appeared in the palace and a frantic battle began. Thor fought, and so did Goku, while the guards were being killed.
"Come on, you damn parasites, it's time to put an end to your existence," said Goku Black.
He appeared behind an elf and with one movement dislocated his neck. Another came from the front and with one kick sent him flying through a window, destroying the wall.

Goku only heard the notification as he continued the massacre, killing one after another without tiring.

While this was happening, Malekith and three other elves were searching for Jane. He knew that the Aether was nearby and entered the room where Frigga was with her.
Upon entering, he saw her lying on the bed, emitting the energy of the stone.
"Give me the woman and I won't hurt you, witch."
"You won't take her, I will protect her," said Frigga.
Then the battle began. Frigga, as a witch, defended herself very well, able to fight the elves and Malekith, but it wasn't long before Algrim stabbed her as she stepped in to protect Jane, sacrificing her life.
Malekith heard the guards of Asgard coming, so he no longer had time to take Jane. He knew that the distraction had been neutralized, so he left with his loyal soldiers and they retreated stealthily.
Thor and Goku had finished off the Elves and advanced toward where Jane and her mother were. Upon entering and reaching the room, Thor saw his mother's body on the floor.
"Mother!" Thor exclaimed.
As he approached and knelt down to lift her up, he saw that she had been stabbed, as she was covered in blood. He felt unbearable pain, as his mother had died protecting and defending Jane.
"Why, Mother ? Why ?" Thor said, heartbroken, as he embraced his mother's body.
Goku remained silent as he watched this canonical event for Thor. Although he could have intervened if the system had indicated he should, he knew very well that altering the timeline would not be beneficial at all, not now while he was still weak.
