Before his reincarnation, Bai Mo had already watched the first season of Delicious Dungeon.
In fact, he had even read the original manga and finished all 92 chapters.
Thanks to these memories, he now had a godlike perspective on this world.
If he stayed focused, he could clear this dungeon world in just a month or two—by far the easiest world he'd encountered.
Even the dungeon monsters were delicious.
That hotpot he had at lunch—with boiled giant scorpion and walking mushrooms—only had some salt, yet it tasted divine.
Bai Mo was convinced that if prepared properly, the flavor could be elevated to a whole new level.
And this was without even including Gourmet Cells!
If nurtured right, these dungeon creatures could be developed into a whole new category of exotic ingredients!
After lunch, the group ventured into the second basement level.
This part of the dungeon was a forest canopy suspended near the top of a massive castle tower.
Thanks to earlier adventurer expeditions, rope bridges now connected tree crowns, forming a strange aerial jungle pathway.
Seeing this, Bai Mo couldn't help but marvel at the wonder of this fantasy world.
Such massive trees, each over a dozen meters wide, forming an interconnected treetop path—something unthinkable in modern society.
And if that wasn't enough, this forest canopy was home to many monsters.
After punching a forest goblin that had ambushed them, Bai Mo wrinkled his nose at the ugly corpse in his hand.
Sure, he could eat monsters, but this one looked utterly unappetizing.
Too hideous.
With a kick, he sent the goblin's body flying off the bridge and turned to the others gathering loot.
He asked, "This second level should have plenty of plants, right? Maybe even some edible ones?
The deeper we go, the scarcer the ingredients become. Shouldn't we stock up while we can?"
Everyone agreed immediately, even Marcille.
Compared to chewing on plant seeds, she'd rather not be forced into eating zombies or ghosts if things got desperate in the lower layers.
Could those things even be eaten?
So with that in mind, the party followed their living dungeon-map to a dense patch of carnivorous plants.
As they approached, Marcille couldn't help but swallow nervously.
Could these freakish-looking things really be edible?
Sensing her hesitation, the dwarf chef Senxi reassured her, "Relax. Many carnivorous plants use fruit to lure prey, so their fruit is actually quite tasty.
For example—this pitcher plant secretes a sweet syrup inside its pouch. Tastes nearly as good as honey!
That cobra lily stores delicious liquid in its 'flask'—a naturally sweet drink, really refreshing!
And this Venus flytrap? Its thick leaves are full of moisture. Stew it a little and you've got a rich broth!"
Marcille's ears perked up, and she licked her lips.
Honey and natural drinks—things she hadn't tasted in ages as a forest elf!
"Alright then, leave it to me! I'll subdue them with magic!" she said, raising her wand.
But before she could cast anything, Senxi interrupted her bluntly, "Are you stupid? Don't use magic!"
"It'll damage the ingredients! Plus, I don't trust magic—I trust the axe in my hands!"
…Right. That last part was the real reason.
Bai Mo wasn't too surprised. Dwarves in this world seemed to have a universal distrust of magic—or maybe it was just Senxi.
As Senxi shouted, of course, something went wrong.
In the blink of an eye, Marcille was snatched by a plant's vine and hoisted into the air.
Watching the elf girl dangle in midair, tangled by vines, Bai Mo couldn't help but nod with approval.
Now this… this is the good stuff.
They even knew where to strike. If only these weren't parasitic vines, they might be worth keeping.
Could he enhance them? Strengthen the vines a bit?
Still, first things first—he had to rescue Marcille.
After appreciating the "plant bondage.av" scene for a moment, Bai Mo turned serious.
With a burst of power, his palm transformed into a blade, slicing through the vines cleanly.
He landed lightly on the ground with Marcille in his arms.
A fruity scent lingered in the air—definitely an appealing aroma.
Marcille, now safely back on the ground, blushed as she quietly thanked Bai Mo.
These plant monsters weren't that strong—designed more for trapping than fighting.
And with guidance from Senxi and Caios, they were quickly reduced to ingredients.
Bai Mo picked up one of the cobra lily's water flasks and shook it.
You could hear the liquid sloshing inside through its soft, plant-like walls.
Using a hollow vine as a straw, he took a sip—just like drinking from a coconut.
But better.
The cobra lily's water was more fragrant, lightly sweet, packed with vitamins and minerals. Perfect for quenching thirst.
"This is delicious!" Marcille praised, sipping next to him.
"If all monsters taste like this, maybe being stuck in a dungeon isn't so bad after all!"
Meanwhile, Zilchak wasn't having such a good time.
As he cleaned out one of the carnivorous plants, a half-digested corpse fell out of its stomach pouch, making him gag.
"I mean, yeah… it's sweet, but do you really want to eat syrup that was wrapped around a corpse?"
"No! No way!" Marcille instantly panicked, her head shaking so fast it could power a fan.
Senxi added seriously, "Yeah, syrup from corpse-digesters has a bitter, metallic taste. Not worth it."
Bai Mo looked at him with newfound respect.
You're braver than you look, dwarf.
Marcille had already started retching, nearly throwing up the cobra lily water she had just drunk.
Zilchak and Caios managed to hold it in, continuing to collect the edible parts—fruits, roots, and leaves.
The cobra lily flasks were tasty but fragile. Too much pressure and they'd burst, so they only took a few.
Bai Mo, however, didn't hold back. He harvested all of them with practiced ease.
"Um, Bai," Marcille hesitated, "maybe we should only take what we need and leave the rest to grow?"
"Don't worry. I've got a few tricks. Like this—Spatial Storage Magic!"
As he spoke, Bai Mo stashed all the ingredients into the space within his Vision. The seeds, he sent into the Gourmet World.
Everyone was stunned.
Marcille, a mage herself, gasped. "That's spatial magic?! But… I didn't sense any magical energy!"
"Maybe it's just a different system," Bai Mo shrugged.
"My space can hold a few hundred cubic meters. So we can collect a lot more."
"Magic is actually that useful?"
Even Senxi, usually dismissive of it, looked intrigued.
"Can I learn this kind of spell?"
"Sorry," Bai Mo smiled, "spatial magic isn't something just anyone can learn."
