I am Keiko Saito. A 2nd year high school girl. A common girl who was loved by everyone. The meaning of my name is 'a blessed child'. In the beginning I also believed that I was really a blessed child but what happened today is really not something a blessed child would experience in his life. Losing that person with whom you've imagined your future.

To know what actually happened you'll have to look at my childhood.

I was in elementary school. I lived in Yokohama and studied at Yokohama International School. In my family there were my parents and me. I had lots of friends but the one who was special to me was Itsuki Sasaki.
He was always with me. You can also say he was bad at making friends so he always was glued to me. And I didn't even wanted him to make another friends because I loved his company. I didn't wanted him look somewhere else other than me. Telling about him I must say he was an introvert and could only open up with me. He was excellent in academics and in sports. I always admired him.
Our home were next to each others and our parents were also friends, so gradually we also came close. Our families always did a weekend barbeque. Whenever Itsuki saw vegetables he always ran like he saw a demon king.
Though he was a introvert but when he was with me he was the best mood maker for me.
On my 10th birthday he gifted me a bracelet. It was silver painted bracelet with a pink diamond attached. When I saw it, for the first time in my life I realised how much he knows my taste and about me. He really cared he always smiled and said he always was thankful to me to be by his side even if he was a complete boring person. But the truth was I was with him because of my selfish reason, because I wanted to be with him.
One day when we were on the way to our school Itsuki suddenly stopped and ran towards the bushes. I stopped him but he said me to follow her and I did as he said. Behind the bushes there was a pond and in it a little kitten was drowning. After seeing this Itsuki throwed away his bag and jumped into the pond but he didn't knew how to swim. I yelled at him.
' What are you doing?'
I got scared. What would happen if he drowned.
'Don't go!!'.
He didn't listen. Once he was in the water he hold on the kitten and stick to it saving it from drowning. He threw the kitten out of the pond but he was still in there.
'What are you kids doing there?'
'He was saving a kitten but he does not know how to swim' I said.
I was crying sitting on the ground just as when that man came and saved Itsuki from drowning. He called to our parents. When he came out of the pond I grabbed him and embraced him tightly. Tears flowed from my eyes. I was moved by how he can risk his own life for someone he has no connection with.
He looked at me and said.
'Don't worry. I will not leave you'. And smiled gently.
But I could not hold back. That day I realised that he has taken a spot in my heart that no-one can overtake it. I came to know that I have my first ever love right infront of me.
When our parents arrived they scold us saying that we should have told some adult about it. But he only smiled and and said that he could not stop himself when he saw the kitten drowning.
Surprisingly the kitten was standing beside him rubbing itself to his legs. I think the kitten has also fallen for him. What a childish thought to think of. He picked I up and hugged it. Seeing this surprisingly I felt jealous thinking that my wish to be the only special one to him was over. But at the same time I was also happy seeing a smile on his face.
That day we ended up eating dinner together at his house. He gave the kitten to me as a gift and I promised to take care of it for the res of my life.
