Zayan leaned casually against the marble counter, his gaze sharp on Xandira.
"Don't forget, you still owe me sixty million pounds," he reminded her, smirking.
Not long after, the entire family boarded their private jet to Denmark. Miska and Frya came along, their young daughter skipping happily beside them. Frya's pregnancy bump was visible—she was expecting a baby boy.
"Hiiiiii, Noraaaaaaa!" Frya squealed as soon as she saw her.
"Heeeyyy, little sis," Nora replied warmly, hugging her tightly.
Sora and Issca were already settled on the plane, while Arion stood near the aisle with Xandira. Kenna and Eryx chatted in low voices.
Six hours later, the jet touched down in Aarhus, Denmark. Representatives were waiting, ushering the family to an elegant blue-themed villa. But Zayan, Nora, and Maia headed straight to the hospital for an important appointment.
In the pristine white room, a woman in a lab coat entered with a friendly smile.
"Good day, I am Doctor Elna. Shall we begin?"
Zayan gently helped Nora onto the bed. She lay back as the gel was applied to her stomach, the ultrasound machine humming softly.
"There we are… and it's a healthy baby…" the doctor began.
Zayan's ears perked up. Nora's grip on his hand tightened.
"A healthy baby girl!" Doctor Elna announced.
Without missing a beat, Zayan pulled out his phone, texted Xandira, and grinned wickedly.
You lose, bitch.
His laugh echoed in the room as he leaned down and kissed Nora's forehead.
Before they left, Zayan pulled the doctor aside. "She's been having panic attacks. That can't be good for her."
Doctor Elna's expression turned serious. "If they continue, she may slip into deep postpartum depression—losing herself in motherhood, crying constantly, forgetting things, feeling extreme anxiety. In severe cases, suicidal thoughts or refusal to eat may appear. Keep her surrounded by her children and happiness. Let her feel full—emotionally and physically. A mother's strength in these moments is vital."
Zayan nodded, his jaw tight. "Thank you."
They returned to the villa, Nora asleep in his arms. The children were laughing in the pool, water splashing as Winter whispered to Seraphina.
"I hate her. She's such a little bitch."
"Yeah, it's good we kicked," Seraphina replied, smirking.
Inside, Zayan laid Nora on the couch, tucking a blanket over her. Then his mischievous grin returned.
"Xandiraaaaaaaaaaa!"
She came downstairs with Arion. "So? Boy or girl?"
Maia brought out the cake, the room buzzing with anticipation.
"Three… two… one…"
Zayan smashed a glass cup to cut into the cake—it was pink inside.
"It's a baby girlllllllll!" Seraphina shouted, doing a backflip off the wall.
"Woah!" Maverick laughed. "Chill, your mama's sleeping."
"Now… send the money," Zayan said, winking at Xandira.
She sighed dramatically, pulled out her phone, and hit send. Zayan's phone beeped.
"Thank you," he said smoothly.
Later, as Nora ate quietly beside him, Maia relayed the doctor's warning. Melanie nodded in agreement.
"Losing yourself in motherhood is the scariest thing," she said.
"I remember crying all night because of Luca," Nathaira added.
"Same here, with Akasha," Sora sighed.
"Crya had me crying for months," Frya said, making Miska chuckle.
Zayan's eyes lingered on Nora. She will never lose herself. I'll make sure of it.
"Mama!" Liam ran over and hugged her.
"Hi, big tummy," he giggled, pointing at her belly.
They spent the afternoon coloring together while the twins gossiped with the other kids. From his desk, Zayan watched her through the glass. His thoughts turned solemn.
A good mother losing herself in motherhood… it would change everything. She'd feel like she's lost the world. But I won't let that happen. She is Mrs. Nora Zayan Kai—my wife, the mother of my children. And I will love her forever.
She noticed his stare, waved at him, and he blew her a kiss. Nora smiled and went back to her work, unaware of how fiercely he had vowed to protect her.
