Chapter 68 - Chapter 69 – Luo Feng!

Chapter 69 – Luo Feng!

On Mars, Jiang Zhe's original body and his second soul finally parted ways.

Equipped with the Void-Piercing Spear and his Origin Force Battle Armor—still appearing human to avoid attention within the Universe Nation—his silver-robed second soul set off. He traveled aboard an E9-class mechanical race spaceship, accompanied by two avatars of Orianna.

Additionally, he brought along a force of one million E9-class, two hundred F6-class, and twenty F8-class mechanical puppets, all controlled by Orianna's avatars. If necessary, they could be sacrificed to buy time for the silver-robed second soul to escape.

After studying the star map and charting his course, the silver-robed second soul departed. The E9-class ship vanished in a flash. Jiang Zhe retracted his gaze, certain he'd receive definite news before the Genius Battle began—either that the journey proved too long after a transfer wormhole collapsed, or that the target site was reached and the existence of that Pandora's Box-like wormhole confirmed.

Back on Earth

Jiang Zhe spent a week with his family before leaving Lanling Base City. Breaking free from his strict training regimen, he began a journey on foot across Earth, hoping to make up for past regrets.

Even though he was now a seventh-level star-level being, he walked like any ordinary man—a small figure upon the vast land, seemingly unremarkable.

Heading northeast, he entered eastern Suweilie, swam across the Bering Strait, and landed in Alaska. Jiang Zhe couldn't help recalling that over a hundred years before the Great Nirvana, this land had sold for just two cents per acre, expanding America by 1.7 million square kilometers.

In his previous life, he'd heard tales of Alaska's beauty and always wanted to visit. Standing here now on this alternate Earth, did this count as fulfilling that dream?

He continued east into a fertile land of lush, ancient conifers and broad-leaf forests, with waters clear as the sky. Here, Jiang Zhe's heart found a rare tranquility.

Even though he'd seen sights grander than this on alien planets and inside the World Repository, to him, nothing compared to a single grain of sand from his home Earth.

As a son of Huaxia, nostalgia ran in his blood; he held a special, stubborn attachment to the notion of "homeland."

Southbound

He moved south, traversing the vast North American plains—another stretch of fertile land. Heaven seemed to favor this continent, perhaps destined to become the Jiang family's land of prosperity.

Suddenly, Jiang Zhe laughed for no reason.

"Too bad it's the wrong season. I'd have loved to witness the fierce blizzards here…"

Unlike China's northeast, which had three mountain ranges shielding its people, these plains offered no shelter. When the polar vortex swept down and met the warm Missouri currents, it clashed spectacularly.

What a scene that would be!

He remembered how, in his past life, whenever his geography teacher described it, students' eyes brimmed with longing—simply envious of the heavy snow. In their impoverished county high school, they were still pure and innocent.

Jiang Zhe, dressed sloppily, wandered along, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, like a madman.

Orianna had already detached, moving around one kilometer away in her doll form. She drove off curious warriors who approached. As for beasts, sensitive to his terrifying aura, they either fled in panic or lay trembling on the ground.

Hovering in midair, Orianna observed her master. With her star-level vision, she could see every pore on Jiang Zhe's skin, reading every subtle emotion.

Over the past ten years, she'd evolved from a blank slate to truly understanding human emotions—then developing feelings of her own, finally living like a true sentient being.

Her expression grew thoughtful as she realized what her master was experiencing.

He wasn't mad or making a fool of himself—he was reminiscing, and… letting go.

It was like something out of a film or novel—he was saying farewell to his past.

The Journey Continues

Jiang Zhe briefly paused at the ruins of Mayan civilization, another site that had fascinated him in his previous life. Back then, he never even left his own province. Now he stood here on an alternate Earth—though the ruins were badly damaged by beasts, the grandeur long gone.

With slight regret, he moved on, entering the Amazon basin. Using his unique mental cultivation, he suppressed his overwhelming aura, becoming as ordinary as a rock—a little rabbit stepping into a wolf's den.

He endured the torment of insects, was ambushed by anaconda-like beasts, and crossed crocodile-infested rivers.

Nearby, Orianna diligently documented everything in her digital diary.

26. Experience primitive jungle survival as an ordinary person? (Completed)

Later, Jiang Zhe passed the No.9 ruin, gave it a distant look, and left.

32. Visit the Incan ruins, Machu Picchu? (Completed)

35. Iguazu Falls? (Completed)

40. Drake Passage? (Completed)

Orianna took note of each site where her master paused, gradually realizing he was trying to fulfill some unspoken regrets.

They crossed the "Roaring Forties" and reached the Antarctic Peninsula.

At the tail end of the polar night, the harsh conditions didn't bother Jiang Zhe at all as he traversed this pure land on foot.

46. Slide on a 40-meter-high emperor penguin? (Completed)

And so master and servant continued.

Since this journey began, neither had spoken.

One followed subconscious desires, trying to mend old regrets.

The other silently documented and tried to fathom her master's heart.

Into Africa and Beyond

By November 2056, with Antarctica in near perpetual daylight, Jiang Zhe nearly circled the ice cap before crossing the sea to Black Continent.

58. Dig for diamonds for a week? (Completed)

68. Ride a lion king across the largest grassland? (Completed)

He moved north, crossed the Mediterranean into Europe.

Jiang Zhe's whereabouts drew attention from the HR Alliance. Earth's former top spiritual force user, East, even came to visit, but Orianna blocked him, sending him away in frustration.

Moving northeast through half of Suweilie, then farther north, Jiang Zhe entered the Arctic Circle, witnessing the end of the polar night.

By June 2057, at the height of the Arctic summer, Jiang Zhe finally left this pristine realm, headed south across the Bering Strait into the Pacific.

He used his psychic beast-control to capture a whale mutated into a monstrous creature, letting it carry him across the ocean.

Jiang Zhe lounged idly; Orianna, meanwhile, was busy.

A promising young psychic had emerged—directly tied to Jiang Zhe's old promise to Babata. Orianna dared not delay. If they missed this talent, who knew when her master would find another with a brain width over 20.

Luo Feng's Path

At Extreme Martial's headquarters, inside the elite training camp, Luo Feng, who'd joined at the end of March, showed remarkable talent. Now he could exert 3.6 times force, surpassing many veteran students.

Though the Extreme House offered three classical force techniques, Luo Feng ultimately chose to train in the new edition of "Ninefold Thunder Blade," refined by Thor to meet universal standards, capable of reaching nine times force.

By June 2057, Luo Feng was buried in intense training, trying to climb the rankings—driven by the heavy burden of finding a life potion to regenerate his brother's limbs, and staying hidden from enemies.

Fate still played out. Luo Feng killed Li Wei in City 003.

The butterfly's wings flapped, but little changed.

This was also due to Jiang Zhe's cunning.

He'd given them force techniques, but not cultivation resources—so despite ten years of his rise, Earth hadn't changed much.

Though they could now strike harder, their training pace was still like a crawling tortoise.

As for Hanxia's two new base cities, they only held thanks to the Jiang family. Many planetary-level experts joined to slay monster kings and drive out lord-level beasts.

Jiang Zhe had given Jiayi resources, raising a few more planetary-level warriors to keep their defenses from being stretched too thin.

The Meeting with Babata

One day, after Luo Feng finished hunting, he returned to Jiangnan Pavilion, washed up, and sat before his computer to watch some blade technique tutorials.

Suddenly, the room lights went out.

Then—click—the media room door automatically locked.

Luo Feng's face changed dramatically. Had his secret been exposed?

Ten throwing knives flew out, circling him warily.

"It's—"

The computer screen flickered.

A new image appeared: a child in a black robe with two sharp horns on his forehead and blood-red eyes.

"Mr. Luo Feng, please don't be alarmed. I come from the 'Yin Mo Star.' Please hear me out."

In truth, Babata's arrogant personality would never speak so politely—this was Orianna taking the initiative while Jiang Zhe drifted unaware across the Pacific.

The New Path Unfolds

Inside the virtual world's Martial Transmission Hall, Luo Feng, draped in a white robe and wearing a mask, stood on the ninth floor looking down at the bustling hall full of Earthlings, then quietly let out a breath.

"I've heard of the Martial Transmission Hall—higher in status than the War God Palace—but this 'Yin Mo Star' power is completely new to me. Looks like it's far beyond the two major martial halls."

Thinking of the cultivation plan he'd just been given, and seeing the catalog of unimaginable treasures he could exchange for with points, Luo Feng's heart blazed with desire.

All he had to do was join as one of only two members, and, after reaching a certain level of strength, avenge the lord of Yin Mo Star.

Naturally cautious, Luo Feng first asked detailed questions. Once he learned about alien civilizations and confirmed his enemies weren't Earthlings, he accepted without hesitation.

A Fateful Encounter

Heavy footsteps sounded behind him.

"Hey there, kid! Outsiders aren't allowed up here on the ninth floor. If you've made it, you must be personally invited by the Jiang family. Why hide your face?"

The voice rumbled like thunder, making Luo Feng's ears buzz.

He turned to see a man built like a bear, burly and imposing, who radiated a cold, mountainous pressure despite a hint of clumsy good-nature.

Jiang family?

Under his mask, Luo Feng frowned. He knew the Jiang family was one of the HR Alliance's ten top families, with a strong reputation in Hanxia.

A few words later, Jiang Wu confirmed through Kai Ming Beast that Luo Feng had no issues and left.

Luo Feng's Awe

"Good heavens… that was a warrior beyond the War God level!"

Luo Feng marveled, waiting until Jiang Wu's figure disappeared before remembering his own goal—hurrying off to find the force-testing room.
