Chapter 62 - Chapter 63: The Primordial Umbrella!

Chapter 63: The Primordial Umbrella!

The lifeform created by the Silver-Robed Soul was indistinguishable from the original—except for the absence of a soul.

Even the law affinity of this lifeform could be perfectly replicated by the Silver-Robed Soul.

This was similar to the [Clone] innate secret technique.

As a supreme rule-secret technique created by the Law of Life, [Life Mastery] would naturally not be inferior to [Clone] in its domain of life creation.

The only advantage [Clone] held was its "fearless of death" trait.

While the Silver-Robed Soul could replicate law affinity, his own affinity wasn't weak either.

For example, after transforming into the Canyon Behemoth, his perception of the Earth and Space laws under this form still wasn't as clear as his original self's.

The only real gains were the innate secret technique and inherited memory.

Before the auction, Jiang Zhe's main goal was to acquire a powerful innate secret technique like [Time Freeze]. Now, his wish had come true.

It's worth noting that the Silver-Robed Soul didn't possess strong innate affinities for the Space or Time laws—unlike the elemental laws (Earth, Fire, Water, Wind), which are almost force-fed to creatures as fundamental laws.

Jiang Zhe speculated that the remaining five unidentified "Heavenly Daos" might contain fused, advanced versions of Space and Time laws. But due to restrictions of the original universe, they had to remain dormant or "banned."

However, because of their inclusive nature, they could deconstruct downward—meaning the Silver-Robed Soul still had decent affinity with Space and Time laws.

After observing the Canyon Behemoth, Jiang Zhe had the Silver-Robed Soul begin comprehending the Law of Space, hoping to unlock the gateway to further mastery.

Jiang Zhe then returned alone to the top of the tower, activated all its defenses, and entered his inner core space.

Having advanced to Star Level 1, his internal world now spanned a staggering 10 kilometers in length and width!

He was relieved that creating a powerful second soul didn't mutate his original core.

Contrast this with Luo Feng—his Perfect Life Clone caused his inner world to expand to trillions of kilometers in diameter, making his core nearly indestructible and his advancement to Undying extremely difficult.

A double-edged sword, indeed.

Jiang Zhe knew that if he wanted to achieve greater things, he'd eventually face similar obstacles.

Are clones hard to make?

Is perfect gene-level evolution hard?

Jiang Zhe had the confidence—and knew the path to getting what he wanted.

In fact, he had already succeeded in one of those goals.

He gazed at the massive tree in the center of his internal world—its trunk alone measured over a thousand meters across. Its canopy still covered the entire 10-kilometer expanse, with countless branches stretching into the surrounding chaos mist.

On the tree's massive trunk were six grotesque, face-shaped lumps, each covering dozens of square meters.

His gaze dropped to a small stone table at the roots of the tree.

Besides his logging axe, four key items were displayed. (Originally, there were six, including the divine crystal and Orianna.)

Golden Folded Page: Golden Human Life Blueprint – Wuxian Constellation

After reaching triple gene level and becoming a Hero-class human, Jiang Zhe stopped cultivating this technique—out of caution. He didn't want the Lord of Chaos City to sense too much from him. Once he left the Original Universe and entered the secret realm as a Universe-Level warrior, he'd have enough time and materials to improve his life level.

For example, the Bloodfall World was full of stronger beasts and natives.

Divine Crystal

Orianna

A Luxurious Umbrella – The Primordial Umbrella

He received this after advancing to Planetary Level 9 as a Spirit Master and felling a tree.

Before swinging the axe, he wished for a second soul vessel—and out came a famed treasure.

Jiang Zhe approached the stone table and picked up the extravagant umbrella, about a meter long.

The umbrella surface was inlaid with various precious gems: emeralds, night pearls, dust-repelling beads, fire-warding pearls, water-resistant pearls, cooling pearls, nine-bend pearls, beauty-fixing pearls, wind-controlling pearls—and the words "Harnessing the Universe" were strung together with pearls.

"Unknown grade: The Primordial Umbrella,"

Jiang Zhe murmured, running his fingers across the jeweled surface, sensing the vast power contained within.

Upon dropping, the umbrella had automatically recognized him as its master.

Unlike Luo Feng, Jiang Zhe hadn't suffered any torment to bond with it—leaving him slightly disappointed, as if he'd missed a chance for explosive power growth.

But that kind of gamble could be deadly.

Now, within the core of Jiang Zhe's soul—a miniature star at the center of his sea of consciousness—twelve radiant streams of light swirled, indicating the umbrella had soul-defense properties.

Around the star, two tiers of tower-like structures shimmered—proof that he had cultivated the Void Tower secret art to Tier 2.

He valued soul defense greatly.

Despite the Primordial Umbrella's fearsome reputation, Jiang Zhe found it frustrating to use. Following mythological instructions, he tried to activate its power:

Opened it — nothing happened.

Spun it — nothing happened.

Shook it — still nothing.

Even after injecting Origin Force and Spirit Energy, it was like throwing stones into a lake.

Jiang Zhe sighed and closed the umbrella, smiling bitterly:

"This is normal. Even though I'm its master, my current strength isn't enough to activate it."

He had assumed the umbrella would remain dormant until he reached Domain Lord or Undying status—but fate had other plans.

Returning the umbrella to the table, he turned to the sixth item—his reward for chopping trees as a Star Level 1:

Golden Booklet: Minor Trisection of the Three Corpses – Enlightenment Technique

"Cut away Greed, Rage, and Ignorance; clarify the Dao Heart, untouched by dust."

"First, use the Dormant Dragon Method to amplify my chaotic thoughts, then use Minor Trisection to extract them all. This is a soul refinement."

"When the three corpses return, staining the pure Dao Heart again—that too is a soul refinement."

"Brilliant. Ingenious. Absolutely masterful."

Every time he saw this technique, Jiang Zhe couldn't hide his excitement and admiration.

These two secret arts, used together, weren't just for training willpower or consciousness—

They also functioned as an alternative clone technique.

Like the Second Soul, each of the three Corpse Personas needed a vessel—and a physical body had to be created for them.

At this thought, Jiang Zhe's eyes returned to the Primordial Umbrella.

"Isn't that a perfect match?"

"As for creating a real body—"

"Only two conditions: Affinity with Time and Space Laws, and a super divine body."

He suddenly paused, deep in thought:

"Primordial Umbrella? Time and Space? Divine Body... World Tree?"

The clone issue wasn't urgent; he lacked high-quality materials anyway.

Their primary use was survival, law comprehension, and restoring divine energy.

Jiang Zhe's own understanding of lightning laws wasn't weak—and the Silver-Robed Soul's was far superior.

He wasn't like Luo Feng, who couldn't progress without the Golden-Horned Beast or the Mosha Clone.

February 2051.

Another Spring Festival had come and gone.

Jiang Zhe silently counted the days left before he'd leave Earth.

Unless he was meditating in the Dormant Dragon Method, he always made time for holidays.

One happy event: his second brother, Jiang Wu, had a baby—making the fourth generation of the Jiang family.

Jiang Zhe left seclusion to visit, staying half a day.

There was also a surprise—

Who would've thought the "Black Bear Demon" would produce a cub with Spirit Master potential? The child's brain region had an initial capacity of 13!

February 26th.

After the Lantern Festival, the New Year cheer faded.

The Jiang family returned to their work—some practicing, others managing businesses.

Jiang Zhe and Orianna took their spacecraft to Bai Lan Star to collect training resources and a planetary defense system.

Once home, they planned to deploy defense satellites and a powerful weapons network across the solar system to prepare for the possible arrival of the Norlan Hill family squad in a decade.

Orianna would even upgrade the weaponry.

For example, she'd replace the standard laser cannons with rapid-fire C9-grade laser rifles—strong enough to kill even Norlan Hill's mighty warriors.

As for that mysterious egg?

Once it entered the solar system, it would be constantly monitored.

Most of the cultivation resources gathered were C-grade materials, with a few B-grade lightning treasures.

These ratings (A, B, C...) refer to energy levels corresponding to Planetary, Stellar, Cosmic, etc.

For instance, Life Fruits are E-grade and effective even on Domain Lords.

Just like how metal types are rated.

Thunder Prison Realm couldn't digest higher-tier lightning treasures—swallowing them would cause a spatial explosion.

Like the Golden-Horned Beast, it could only evolve by absorbing metals of its current tier.

Only Orianna was special—able to consume materials one tier above to strengthen herself.

Zveka insectoids could do the same—but they couldn't digest them and simply excreted alloys.

With his current wealth, Jiang Zhe could easily afford nutrient pods and solutions—less than 1 Primordial Unit total.

But cultivating with Thunder Prison Realm was more cost-effective.

Although it evolved slower, the realm's special energy subtly strengthened his body—so much so that his flesh could likely pierce the Dark Universe by Domain Lord stage.

Most humans couldn't achieve this.

Human Domain Lords generally had average body endurance—maxing out at 150,000 km/s. Only rare strong races could surpass light speed with just their bodies.

After reaching Star Level 1, the Thunder Prison Realm had expanded to a cube of 1km per side, practically a second inner world.

On the return flight, Jiang Zhe filled the realm with lightning treasures. They were broken down and absorbed to advance his cultivation.

February 28.

Good news from the Silver-Robed Soul:

First layer of Absolute Space—Arclight—successfully mastered!

He had crossed the threshold of spatial law comprehension!

Within the Bracelet World, atop the high tower:

Jiang Zhe and the Silver-Robed Soul stood face-to-face, brimming with anticipation.

Between them, on the alloy floor, was an old, rusted bronze cauldron passed down through generations in the Jiang family.

After countless scans with Spirit Energy and Domain Powers, Jiang Zhe discovered that only a perfect intersection of Space Law, Time Law, and Domain Power would trigger resonance in the eight puzzle pieces engraved on the cauldron, allowing them to be reassembled via the secret patterns.

But as for how to actually do that...

He still had no idea.

Woke up late, and I write slowly—so updates will be gradual.

One more chapter to come tonight, but don't wait for it. Check back tomorrow morning.
