Chapter 37: Body Remodeling!

Many council members frowned, clearly displeased with Jiang Zhe's brazen display of defiance.

But before they could even voice their objections, Jiang Zhe dropped a bombshell:

"The gold robe? Looks pretty nice. Isn't killing a councilor the way to earn it?

I recall my grandfather and uncle earned theirs by slaughtering one."

The room went dead silent.

Jiang Lie and Jiang Chengbo glanced at each other in stunned disbelief—this was the first time they realized how badass they had once been.

Jiang Zhe continued casually, "Now that I've done it too, I suppose it's only right that I wear the robe."

Without another word, he walked to the seat marked with Li Nansheng's nameplate, crushed the metal plaque into a ball, and placed his own nameplate down in its place.

Now it was Jia Yi and Mr. Zhou's turn to widen their eyes in disbelief.

He wasn't kidding?

There are only a handful of councilors in all of Huanxia, and you just casually erased one off the list like that?!

Suddenly, someone gasped, "Look! Who is that councilor? And the spiritual force user fighting him!"

A large screen appeared out of nowhere in the hall, displaying a battle recording.

On one side: A councilor in heavy black armor.

On the other: A brass-armored spiritual force user.

The footage wasn't long—less than a minute—and looped continuously.

What stunned everyone was the brutal conclusion.

The armored councilor was utterly overpowered and finally pierced through the heart by a 40cm-long conical weapon.

The screen split.

Left side: the looping video.

Right side: a black-and-white photo of Li Nansheng's corpse.

"He was tall and thin, wearing a dark green suit, wasn't he?"

"Damn! When he first showed up, he looked just like the Ice Emperor!"

"Probably out sneaking around when he ran into a monster—boom, dead."

Jiang Zhe glanced sideways at a few gossip-hungry Huanxia councilors nearby and sighed inwardly.

Do you guys not see Jia Yi's face turning purple over there?

Others began snapping out of their shock.

"Is that Ist?"

"Nope. This guy controls 15 flying knives—he's even scarier than Ist!"

"Wait… He's still just a War God?!"

"What about the Black God Armor? Didn't Li Nansheng wear it? How did that thing pierce through him?"

"He definitely wore it! That's how he disguised himself!"

"Impossible! No way!"

---

Jiang Lie and Jiang Chengbo stared at Jiang Zhe like they'd seen a ghost.

That "conical weapon"? Oh, they recognized it.

They had personally removed it from the Eight-Treasure Tuolong Spear and given it to Jiang Zhe as a secret weapon.

As for the spear behind Jiang Zhe now?

That was just a blue-gold imitation.

Jiang Chengbo looked like he wanted to ask something, but Jiang Lie gave him a death glare:

You sure you wanna ask here? In front of everyone?

---

"Silence!"

A low, commanding voice echoed from the dais.

Instantly, the hall went completely quiet.

The strongest man on Earth—Hong—spoke.

His tone was cold and direct as he explained what had happened.

"Li Nansheng coveted a Jiang family heirloom weapon.

He bribed Zheng Bo, Deputy Director of Flight Operations in Huanxia's HR Alliance, to learn Jiang Zhe's exact location in Australia…"

"He died as he deserved."

"I have long forbidden councilors from attacking War Gods without cause. But some of you still act on blind arrogance. Two of the most reckless just paid the price—with their lives."

"Yes, their deaths are a great loss to humanity. But keeping them alive would've done far greater damage.

Let their fate be a warning."

"We are not savages. Monsters still threaten humanity daily.

We cannot afford internal chaos. We need unity. We need order."

"If anyone violates these rules again—no matter their status—they will face immediate execution."

"From today onward, the War God Palace will establish a Judicial Division.

I and Thunder God will serve as the Chief and Deputy Chief Justices.

Jiang Zhe and Ist—our strongest spiritual force users—will serve as Executioners."

"If any War God or councilor dares commit crimes again—the Judicial Division will deliver justice!"

---

This restriction on councilors was welcomed by many global governments.

In the negotiations that followed, three more Executioners were added, representing America, Sovietia, and Inca.

A balance of power—and a symbol of order.

---

After the meeting, Jiang Zhe exchanged a few brief words with his father and grandfather before leaving the War God Palace.

As soon as he removed his consciousness-sensing helmet, a voice echoed from the ceiling speakers in the quiet chamber.

"Councilor Jiang, the Director left a message for you."

"Oh? Let's hear it."

"First, the Director has prepared a king-class aircraft for you.

It will take you anywhere on Earth. Just tell the onboard AI your destination—it will return automatically after dropping you off."

Jiang Zhe raised an eyebrow.

Wow. For a moment, I thought Hong was giving me a private jet just for fun.

"Secondly, the Director left a small surprise in the cabin."

"Lastly, the Director wishes you a swift advancement to the Planetary stage, and success in compiling Earth's first ultimate cultivation manual."

Jiang Zhe chuckled.

So that's what he was aiming for in the end.

"Thanks for passing it on."

"Wishing you a smooth journey. Farewell!"

---

At the global HQ of the Extreme Martial Hall, Jiang Zhe—accompanied by a red-robed staff member—arrived at a secluded hangar.

There, a sleek black triangular aircraft awaited him.

As he boarded, the door shut behind him.

Inside, lights flickered to life, and a voice spoke:

"Welcome aboard, Councilor Jiang—"

Cut off.

Jiang Zhe wasn't surprised.

He sank into the luxurious seat and spoke calmly:

"Anna, you've taken over the systems?"

"Yes, Master. I've hijacked the aircraft's AI and forged a false service record. We can take off whenever you're ready."

"No rush. Where's Hong's surprise?"

"One moment, Master."

A compartment at the base of the cabin opened, and a silver metallic case slowly rose up. Once fully extended, the floor sealed shut again.

"Anna, what's inside?"

"It's your surprise, Master. I wouldn't dare spoil it."

Jiang Zhe laughed. "Wow. You even use idioms now."

He pressed his thumb on the fingerprint scanner.

Click!

The box sprang open.

Inside lay a silver-gray shuttle-like object.

Tapered at both ends, wider in the middle, about 81 cm long and 27 cm at its widest.

It was engraved with intricate patterns.

Honestly, Jiang Zhe had been tempted by the Tunneling Shuttle before, but never pushed for it.

He hadn't expected Hong to give it so generously.

Lifting the shuttle with his mind, he placed it beside him.

Orianna's mental voice sounded surprised:

"Master, this is a Tier-3 psychic weapon. I saw it in that AI's memory.

Are you not satisfied?"

"Actually, I am. I just… feel weird using it. It's too strongly associated with Luo Feng. I'd rather ask Babata for a curved blade disc."

"Anna, take off."

The aircraft hummed to life.

Orianna asked, "Shall we go straight to the target?"

"It's been restless lately. Trying to stir up a big commotion to expose the fog-covered island and lure you there."

Jiang Zhe frowned. "It knows about me?"

"Yes. It's been watching for a while. After you entered the War God Palace, it decided you were the one.

Your performance in Australia sealed the deal—it's ecstatic."

"What about you?"

"It thinks I'm just some accessory metal lifeform. Barely paid attention."

"Can we stop it? I don't want Fog Island exposed to humanity."

"No worries. It noticed we're heading toward Australia again and has already stopped its actions."

She added, "We've slightly deviated from the pre-set course. It's steering us straight to Fog Island now."

"Whatever. Let it lead us. I'll do some training."

Leaning back into the sofa, Jiang Zhe closed his eyes and focused on the crimson banner mark at his brow.

He had just harvested a massive amount of essence.

Should he continue training Life Blueprint?

…No.

He wanted to try out the [Conqueror] Secret Technique.

Could body remodeling really boost his amplification potential the way he imagined?

Following the secret technique's instructions, he refined the essence in the banner's core.

After nine cycles, scattered specks of light transformed into wisp-like fog.

The moment that fog appeared, Jiang Zhe knew—it was time.

The crimson banner glowed, trembling slightly.

The fog flowed out like streams from the mark and wrapped around his entire body.

It coiled and merged into his form.

Then—

The fog condensed into mystical runes, pierced his armor, and sank into his skin.

"Ssshh—ahh… kinda hurts. But it also tickles."

He cracked a joke, but quickly refocused, letting the [Conqueror] technique run its course.
