Law realized that the creature biting his submarine couldn't be called a mere dog; it felt more like a monster with a snake's body and a dog's head. Its body was simply too long—a black mass extending like a serpent from the dragon-headed ship about two hundred meters away, a terrifying sight.
Following the direction of the figurehead, Law saw the flag on the ship's sail. He gritted his teeth and said, "W-Why is a Yonko here?"
WHOOM!
The black dog Baskerville violently shook its head, whipping Law's submarine into the air. Startled, Law quickly grabbed the mast on the ship's railing with one hand.
Inside the control room, Bepo and the other Heart Pirates crew members were tossed around violently by the sudden, fierce shaking. In less than five seconds, the white bear was covered in bruises.
"The Captain came out personally. That's surprising."
"Did he take an interest in the brat's ability? Or is he just bored and looking for entertainment?"
Everyone stopped what they were doing and watched the submarine being swung around by the black dragon-like Baskerville.
After being tossed in the air for about ten seconds, Baskerville slammed the submarine down heavily onto the deck of the Dragon Ship, with the nose pointed down...
Inside the control room, Bepo felt like he was about to lose consciousness from the pain. He was crawling on the floor, his small sesame-seed eyes spinning in circles. He murmured, "I-Is it over?"
Shachi, one of the Heart Pirates crew members, rushed to a corner with his hand over his mouth. He couldn't hold it in any longer. The contents of his stomach poured out, quickly filling the enclosed cockpit with a foul stench.
"Shachi, you bastard! Couldn't you have gone outside to puke?!" "It stinks! Open the door, quick!"
"I can't take it!"
Five or six members of the Heart Pirates rushed out of the cockpit in a frenzy. After reaching the outside door and taking several deep breaths, they realized they were on a different, much larger ship.
"Captain..."
Bepo blinked his tiny eyes, spotting Law confronting a man in red on the large ship's deck.
Penguin, another Heart Pirates crew member, looked up at the flag on the huge ship's mast. After staring for two seconds, he slumped onto the deck in terror and shouted, "H-Hey! That's... the symbol of one of the Yonko, the Immortal Pirates!"
"Ehhhh!"
The sweat poured off the other crew members. "A Yonko!"
"Why is a Yonko in this area, the very beginning of the Grand Line?" "Our pirate crew just started. Are we going to be wiped out already?" "We'll lick your boots clean! Please let us go!"
Before the Immortal Pirates could even speak, many of the Heart Pirates had begun to cry and beg on their knees.
"Shut up!"
Law suddenly yelled, cutting off his subordinates' weeping and pleading. However, even facing Alucard, cold sweat dripped from his hair beneath his fur cap. "Why did you attack us? Just for bored entertainment?"
"That's a very impressive ability. How about joining me?" Alucard chuckled softly. "Oh! He's being recruited by a Yonko."
"He hasn't even been given a bounty yet! As expected of the Captain!"
Hearing that Alucard had no intention of striking but instead extended an invitation to Law, the Heart Pirates crew members were relieved from the bottom of their hearts. We won't die, right?
"My apologies!"
Without hesitation, Law drew his favorite nodachi, Kikoku, with its fuzzy hilt, from behind his back. His face was cold. "The thing I hate most is being ordered around by someone."
"Ahh!!!"
Hearing Law's answer, Bepo screamed, grabbed his head, and jumped around frantically. The others were no better. Penguin and two other crew members ran behind Law, grabbing his shoulders. "Captain! You're going to get us killed!"
"Let's just go along with Alucard-sama for now!"
All the crew members opposed Law's actions, but Law merely shook his body, forcing his subordinates back two steps. He repeated his earlier statement, "The thing I hate most is being ordered around by someone!"
Alucard observed Law at this point in time. He looked no older than sixteen or seventeen, clean- shaven, with a very youthful face.
From the crew members' comments, he knew Law's pirate crew was still in its initial stages.
The Law of this era lacked the meticulous mind that he would later use to challenge Doflamingo and Kaido. He was dominated more by impulsiveness and rebelliousness.
"...Then try to take my life."
Alucard's expression was like that of a person watching an angry kitten, completely devoid of seriousness. This provoked Law's sharp nerves once more. He threw his scabbard aside and shouted angrily, "Arrogant fool! I'll cut out your heart!"
"ROOM!"
As Law roared, the spatial dome of the Op-Op Fruit enveloped half of the Dragon Ship.
The next instant, Law smirked, crouched down, and slashed fiercely upward. A silver flash appeared, and Alucard's body was sliced into two halves.
For a moment, everything around them seemed to freeze. After about five seconds, the Heart Pirates watched Alucard's upper and lower body fall to the deck. After a few more seconds, Bepo was the first to cheer triumphantly, "The Captain won!!"
Penguin and the other crew members were stunned. Had a Yonko been defeated that easily? "Hmph!"
Law let out a dismissive snort, used the Op-Op Fruit's ability to retrieve the scabbard he had just thrown, and prepared to sheathe his sword.
"Poor little brat~~" Just then, someone from the Immortal Pirates made a sympathetic remark. Click-Clack!
Before Law could react, the sound of a gun being cocked rang in his ear, and a cold object pressed against the left side of his face.
Law's body stiffened. His eye darted to the left, where Alucard had silently appeared beside him, holding a gun pressed against his face.
