Chapter 221 - Alucard's... Daughter?

"Dragon, you have nowhere left to run. Surrender now!" Zephyr took a step forward, forming a triangle with Sengoku and Dragon on the volcanic crater. "I've never killed a single person in my life, and I won't kill you!"

"Don't pretend to be calm anymore, Zephyr-sensei." Dragon grimly raised his head and suddenly smiled, a grimace with his fierce eyes and face. "Both of you should have already vaguely guessed why I chose Secon Island as the meeting place."

Sengoku and Zephyr's expressions flashed with surprise, and they heard Dragon continue, "Although you two see this as a secret that the Government and the Marines are trying their best to hide, unfortunately, our Revolutionary Army's intelligence isn't for show. You must have already seen the power of that newly developed explosive that blew up the inn. What do you think would happen if I placed that stuff in this volcanic crater?"

This time, Zephyr and Sengoku couldn't pretend they didn't know. Although Secon Island appeared to be an ordinary island close to the Marine outposts, it actually hid a huge secret.

There was something called Dyna Stone hidden here. In terms of weaponry, Dyna Stone was just a powerful explosive, but when combined, its power was enough to rival an Ancient Weapon.

However, that wasn't the most crucial part.

The most crucial part was the geographical location of Secon Island. It was one of three key islands that cleverly connected to the underwater volcanoes of the New World. All three islands were hiding a lot of Dyna Stone. If the Dyna Stone on these three islands were to detonate, the balance of the underwater volcanoes in the New World would completely collapse, and the volcanic eruptions from the seabed would be enough to turn the New World into hell.

This was something that Vegapunk had only recently discovered. The Marines originally planned to secretly build military bases on these three islands, control all the Dyna Stone, and then deal with it further.

But they didn't expect that Dragon would know about it and use it to threaten them. This was something that only high-ranking Marine personnel, people who could sit in the headquarters' general meeting room, had the right to know.

"Of course, I don't want to do anything. I just want to leave here safely." Dragon said, taking a remote control from his coat pocket. It had a very obvious red button. "This is the detonator. Please let me leave. In return, I will place it on the northern pier of this island..."

"Wait, Sengoku." Sengoku was just about to utter a word when Zephyr spoke up to stop him. "This matter is of great importance. The safety of Secon Island is more important than capturing him. If this place is destroyed, we can escape, but the other thousands of soldiers will be wiped out, and the tens of thousands of civilians on Secon Island will be homeless."

Zephyr's words made Sengoku stop. Dragon seized the opportunity, turned, and ran. His voice came from afar, "As expected of 'The Unkilling Admiral.' Please rest assured, I will keep my promise."

On the other side, Kuzan was covered in wounds and breathing heavily. He looked at the girl opposite him. "Arara, this situation... seems a little bad, doesn't it?"

"Stop lying~" Alucard said with a wicked smile on his girl's face. In this state, without using abilities like the River of Death or his dual guns, he was only slightly superior to Kuzan. More importantly, that bastard was afraid to use his powerful moves at full force because his subordinates were still around, which was why he was constantly on the defensive.

Suddenly, both of them felt that the commotion from the volcano behind them had stopped. Kuzan couldn't help but look up at the volcanic crater, stunned. "Is it... over?"

It was quite unexpected. Although he didn't know what Dragon's power was or his exact strength, the materials on him speculated that his strength was at least Admiral-level.

Logically, he shouldn't have been defeated so easily. Did Zephyr-sensei and Sengoku let him escape? That was also unlikely. It was too soon for that.

"A moment of carelessness in battle is enough to be fatal." Suddenly, a cold voice came from behind Kuzan, causing him to quickly activate his logia ability. He turned his right hand into a blade and swung it backward.

Swish!

However, when Kuzan swung his hand backward, his attack froze several houses into ice sculptures, but there was no sign of the girl in white. A few seconds later, Kuzan shrugged helplessly. "Sigh... I was outsmarted."

Ten minutes later, the two groups of people met.

Seeing that Kuzan hadn't brought the girl back with him, Zephyr and Sengoku's faces showed a hint of dissatisfaction, but Kuzan just shrugged and didn't say much. Zephyr and Sengoku also didn't blame him, as they had also let Dragon escape, so they had no right to say anything.

When the three of them led their troops to the ruins of the inn, Zephyr picked up a piece of charcoal blackened by the explosive on the ground and frowned. "Damn... so a Celestial Dragons died just like that?"

With a Celestial Dragon dead, they didn't know how the Government would blame them. Sengoku said, "We can't be completely sure of his death yet. I will submit the report. Zephyr, you stay here and investigate. Maybe there will be some clues left behind by the Revolutionary Army."

"Although I don't think that Dragon would leave such a flaw, this is all we can do for now," Zephyr said, standing up. "Also, notify the higher-ups to quickly build military fortresses on the three Final Islands."

"Understood. I'll leave the New World to you." After Sengoku and Zephyr talked for a while, Sengoku took the soldiers who had come from the headquarters with Kuzan and boarded the warship returning to Marineford.

A few hours later, Sengoku noticed that Kuzan was looking through pirate bounties. He walked over and said half-mockingly, "Not taking a nap anymore?"

Perhaps due to Garp's influence in his younger years, Kuzan had developed a talent for sleeping anywhere, even while standing. He spent most of his time on voyages in his dreams, so seeing him seriously looking through bounties was a very rare sight for Sengoku.

"Ah~ I just feel like I've seen that girl somewhere before. And that voice..." Kuzan said, as if lost in thought. He finally stopped when he came across Alucard's wanted poster. After a while, he said with a hint of doubt, "Alucard's... daughter?"
