Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: I, Obito, Am a Great Benefactor to the Hidden Cloud

Whoosh—

A figure engulfed in a blinding blue-white flash of lightning shot out of the crumbling remains of the Raikage's office.

His speed was so immense that he left a trail of afterimages in the air!

In a few flashes, the figure appeared near the Two-Tails.

"Two-Tails Matatabi!!!"

Bang—

Accompanying the roar was a sudden burst of power from the blue figure. He stomped on the hard rock peak beneath him, shattering and cracking it like fragile glass.

The blue-white lightning on his body flared brightly, and he moved so fast he became a blur. Then,

"Lariat!"

His voice couldn't even keep up with his lightning-fast movements!

That lethal elbow, wreathed in destructive blue-black lightning, struck the side of the Two-Tails' massive head at a terrifying, sound-barrier-breaking speed.

Speed equals mass!

Boom—

The muffled thud of flesh and the explosion of energy went off simultaneously!

The Two-Tails' half-formed, chaotic Tailed Beast Bomb was interrupted by the attack and detonated with a deafening blast!

The destructive shockwave spared no one.

The uncontrolled energy exploded, turning into a flash of light that consumed the Two-Tails' head. The force of the explosion left the Two-Tails feeling far from good.

As for the Fourth Raikage, the instigator, he was sent flying backward like a streak of burning blue light. In the swirling dust, he tore through two shattered buildings.

From a distance, Naruto's cold gaze watched him.

He had noticed this blue figure the moment he leaped from the Raikage's office.

This chakra was almost as powerful as a mini Tailed Beast.

"That seems to be... the Raikage?"

Naruto squinted as his gaze swept over the muscular black figure struggling to get up in the dust.

The Raikage? He must be the strongest in the Hidden Cloud Village.

If so, I can't let him ruin my fun.

Just as he was about to use the Flying Raijin Jutsu to flash over, Naruto suddenly remembered that he was playing the role of Obito.

He instantly adopted the persona!

Space twisted silently into a vortex, and Naruto disappeared from his spot, reappearing elegantly on top of a broken, protruding concrete pillar.

His masked gaze looked down coldly.

Raikage A shook his head, knocking off shattered stone, and noticed the figure who had suddenly appeared. His sharp gaze immediately locked onto the figure above him.

That tiger-striped mask! That ominous Sharingan eye!

It was the exact same outfit revealed in the Ninja World Daily.

If he had only suspected before, now he was certain who the mastermind was.

"Obito Uchiha!!!"

Boom—

Raikage A roared, and a violent burst of lightning chakra exploded!

The ground collapsed violently, and the already-crumbling building remains were utterly pulverized and reduced to rubble like toy blocks!

A's figure disappeared in the storm of shattered rock and lightning.

No!

His speed had surpassed what a normal person's eyes could capture!

This attack was even faster than the last one!

"Lightning Style: Lariat!"

A blue arc, honed to its absolute limit, zipped through the air like a streak of lightning, slashing through the area where Obito's body had been.

It was unknown if the real Obito Uchiha could have dodged it, but this fake Obito was too much of a cheat. The speed seemed as slow as a slideshow to his Sharingan and 200+ neural reflexes.

Swoosh!

The blue lightning attack missed completely, not even grazing Naruto's clothes.

Raikage A, as he passed through the phantom, was filled with an incomprehensible shock.

Suddenly, he remembered Obito Uchiha's Mangekyo ability.

The next moment—

Boom!

He stomped on the opposite cliff to propel himself forward!

With a burning rage and even more violent lightning, his figure charged forward like a bolt of lightning once more, trying to hit that intangible body!

Speed! Absolute speed!

Raikage A believed that his speed could overcome anything.

But the result was still the same disheartening, shadow-like void, without even a single ripple.

"Again!"

Raikage A let out a roar of frustration and charged again!

But the result was still futile.

Three times! Four times! Five times!

Naruto raised an eyebrow at him. Is this guy really that hot-tempered?

He spoke in a low, hoarse voice. "Hey, old man, stop trying. It's useless!"

But to Raikage A, these words were a taunt!

He gathered his strength and charged one more time.

Even though his speed was the best in the ninja world, in front of the absolute law of space, his efforts were just a hopeless struggle.

He finally stopped, his chest heaving violently, the lightning on his body flickering erratically. He stared intently at the figure standing on the ruins, waiting for backup.

He remembered the analysis from the Ninja World Daily: only sheer numbers could break through this cursed intangibility.

"Obito Uchiha!!"

A's roar echoed through the ruins. "The Hidden Cloud is far away and has no grudges with you! Why attack us?!"

That was a good question.

In truth, Naruto also wanted to ask the real Obito Uchiha:

Why did you kill your master and his wife for no reason?

Why did you manipulate the Nine-Tails on the night it attacked?

And most importantly: How could you be so heartless as to harm an innocent newborn baby? Do you have no humanity?

No one knew what Obito Uchiha was thinking.

So now, did Naruto, or rather, did Obito Uchiha, need a reason for his wanton destruction?

Heh. I, Obito, act as I please. Why should I explain myself to others!

If I want to do something, I do it. I will commit every single bad deed! This is my nindo!

And it's the perfect way to make people hate me.

But looking at the furious Raikage A in front of him, a cold, mocking smile formed under Naruto's mask.

You might have no grudges with the real Obito Uchiha, but you have a deep-seated hatred with me, Naruto!

Why attack the Hidden Cloud Village?

You, old man, have the least right to ask others why.

He had just used his abilities to absorb the memories of several shinobi during the chaos, reading many fragmented memory pieces, including a lot of secrets about the Hidden Cloud Village.

They had once tried to kidnap the Nine-Tails' jinchuriki—his own mother—that was one reason.

They had twice tried to kidnap Hinata to get the Byakugan bloodline—that was another.

There was no need to mention anything else!

If either of those two fell into the hands of the Hidden Cloud, Naruto dared not imagine the consequences.

What?

Is it okay for you to kidnap people from other villages, but not okay for others to destroy your village?

When you do bad things, you have to be prepared to face the consequences. It's not that revenge doesn't come, it's that the time hasn't come yet!

Today, I, Naruto Uzumaki, am here to repay you!

Moreover, his current identity was Obito Uchiha, the Obito Uchiha who did every evil deed, the Obito Uchiha who wouldn't even spare a newborn baby. What reason could he possibly need?

But looking at the devastated buildings and the several mountains cut in half, the corner of his masked mouth curled into a wide, infuriatingly playful smile.

A reason? I'll give you one!

His voice, low and hoarse, came from behind the mask. "Don't thank me, Raikage. I'm just helping out."

"Helping out?" Raikage A almost thought he misheard. Was wreaking havoc in his village considered helping?

"Of course!"

The masked man spread his hands, looking at the devastation around him as if it were a masterpiece. "Look at these desolate mountains! The houses are halfway up the mountain, and a single step outside is a bottomless abyss! How dangerous! How hard life must be! I'm just here to help you flatten things out and remodel your village. No need to thank me. You can just call me the Director of the Hidden Cloud Demolition Office!"

"Obito Uchiha!!!"

Raikage A's roar was deafening. Lightning chakra raged all over his body, and the large rocks beneath his feet disintegrated from the sheer overflow of his anger!

He had never been subjected to such an extreme insult!

"Stop yelling. I'm actually quite puzzled,"

Looking at the crowd of people who were starting to gather, the voice from behind the mask was genuinely, righteously confused: "I'm helping you with your demolition. After I'm done, you'll have some excellent flat land. What great living space!

By all accounts, I, Obito Uchiha, am a great benefactor to the Hidden Cloud!

But not only are you not cooperating, why are you fighting back?"
