At Sasuke's house, Sasuke had just finished his morning training, fine beads of sweat still glistening on his forehead as he prepared to wipe down his shuriken. A familiar voice suddenly shattered the quiet of the courtyard, pounding on the door like a cannonball.
Bang, bang—
"Sasuke! Open up! I know you're in there!"
It was Naruto's voice!
A vein throbbed on Sasuke's forehead. He opened the heavy wooden door with a blank expression.
The "silly-looking" face of Uzumaki Naruto was not what greeted him.
Instead, he was met with a huge, wobbling "mountain of books"!
Stacked high, towering like a mountain, it completely blocked the sunlight from the entrance. Sasuke even had to lean back slightly to see the top of this creation.
Dong, dong—
A bright, smiling face was squeezed through a gap in the side of the "mountain of books." "Ta-da! These are all for you! Aren't you surprised? Aren't you excited?"
Sasuke looked up at the trembling "book vein" in the doorway, and even with his self-control, he was momentarily speechless.
"What is this?"
"Do you see these treasures? They're all for you!" Naruto squeezed past the side. "Move it! Move it!"
The heavy books scraped against the doorframe, making a grating sound that set one's teeth on edge.
A spacious courtyard, a lush green pond, and a long corridor... In all his years in the ninja world, Naruto had never seen a residence like this. It looked like the ideal home from his previous life.
"Whoa!"
Naruto was a little envious. "As expected of the Uchiha prodigy, Sasuke! Your house is pretty big."
The phrase "Your house is pretty big" triggered something in Sasuke.
He shifted his gaze from the books and looked at Naruto with his black and white eyes full of expectation. "Do you want to move in?"
"No!" Naruto flatly refused. You want to live off me again!
Sasuke followed him in silence.
This estate was long gone; he had lived in an apartment during his school days. After he and Naruto formed a team, he reclaimed the estate and planned to turn it into a Team Seven base. Unfortunately, that never came to be.
Thud—
The heavy mountain of books crashed onto a table, denting the hardwood.
"Hey! Sasuke!"
Naruto turned around, hands on his hips, and looked at the slightly bewildered Sasuke, thinking about what he would say. Sasuke wasn't so easy to fool.
"Didn't I tell you before? I'd help you unlock the true power of the Mangekyō Sharingan!"
"See this? Sasuke! This is the key! The door to ultimate power!" He paused, patting the mountain of books in front of him.
"Knowledge changes destiny! Power comes from wisdom! As long as you learn and master all the contents here, I guarantee your Mangekyō's abilities will be unprecedentedly powerful! Ten times stronger than Itachi's stubborn brain! No! A hundred times!"
Sasuke looked at Naruto with suspicion, his gaze darting between Naruto's face, which was plastered with a look that screamed "totally trustworthy," and the absurd mountain of books.
"These books..."
He couldn't resist the temptation of the Mangekyō after all—no, the temptation of revenge. With a look of inquiry, he ran his hand over the spines of the books.
Elementary Mathematics (1-5), Advanced Mathematics (1-10), Mastering Electromagnetism in Three Days, The Mystery of Gravity: From Apples to Black Holes, The Complete Guide to Physics (1-15)... The titles were one more outlandish than the next.
He randomly picked up a copy of Advanced Mathematics 3. Sasuke opened it, and upon seeing the unfamiliar symbols, formulas, and convoluted proofs, his face instantly turned as dark as a pot.
"Naruto," he said with a deep sense of mistrust. "Are you sure this isn't some new, incredibly boring prank of yours?"
"A prank?"
Naruto wanted to roll his eyes. Why did his clones in the research department spend all night compiling these books? Wasn't it to unlock the most powerful Mangekyō for you, you brat? And you suspect me of playing a prank? Do you really think that little of me, Naruto?
Even though it might be a little true, Naruto would never admit it!
"Knowledge is power, Sasuke!"
Naruto repeated again, meeting Sasuke's gaze with eyes so clear they could light up the darkness. "This is all to unlock the Mangekyō! For power! You have to believe me!"
Knowledge is power?
Thinking of Naruto's world-shattering power, the strong really did have the right to speak, so Sasuke chose to believe him for now. But looking at the mountain of books, even as a top student, he couldn't help but feel a headache coming on. How long would it take to learn all this?
And... "That man didn't seem to have learned so much, did he?"
"That man? Tsk!" Seeing that Sasuke was starting to believe him, Naruto curled his lips and belittled him as much as possible. "His Mangekyō abilities are definitely trash!"
"Besides, how do you know that man wasn't secretly researching these subjects every night while you were asleep?"
"Is... is that true?"
Naruto's face was full of conviction, as if he had seen it with his own eyes, making Sasuke question his own memory. Did his memory really fail? Was Itachi really studying hard every night?
"Don't worry! I would never lie to you."
Naruto thumped his chest with a hand. "If I'm lying, I'll livestream myself eating all these books!"
He continued to spin his tale, randomly pulling out a copy of Advanced Mathematics 1.
"I remember we learned the basic function y = f(x) before graduating from the ninja academy, right?"
Sasuke, a top student, and Naruto, who was always at the bottom of the class, made Sasuke realize he had something over Naruto, and his confidence soared.
"Functions! Of course, I learned them."
"Excellent! That's great!"
Naruto shoved the copy of Advanced Mathematics 1 into Sasuke's hands and encouraged him.
"Since you've got such a great foundation! What are you waiting for? Go! Do! Cal-cu-lus!"
"What? Calculus?"
He looked down at the completely foreign symbols (∫), strange formulas (dy/dx), and complex theorem descriptions on the book. His momentary sense of superiority as a top student was instantly doused, and everything went black again, as if he were reading an alien language.
Naruto grinned to himself.
Don't rush. This is just the beginning. There's still L'Hôpital's rule, Taylor series, Fourier transforms... The path to the mountain of books is diligence, and the sea of learning is boundless! Go on, little brother!
After you finish learning all this, I believe Sasuke will evolve into Glasses Sasuke and gain the ability to transform into Ultraman.
In that moment, Naruto had an idea: After Sasuke goes through all this hardship and years of studying to finally learn all this, when he asks how to unlock the Mangekyō, Naruto would just tell him, "I was just messing with you!"
I wonder if that would make Sasuke so angry he'd directly unlock the Mangekyō?
I'm a little excited.
But then he thought of something else and became indignant!
Why do I have so many different Mangekyō abilities but can only use them myself?
This trash game, to prevent bugs, directly binds the eyes to the game account.
Otherwise, I, Naruto, would have been mass-producing eyes for the ninja world.
The products would include: Sharingan, Byakugan, Eternal Mangekyō, Rinnegan, Tenseigan...
A pair of Eternal Mangekyō, a million... no, five million... twenty million per pair. The Uchiha heir could afford it!
It wouldn't just be the Uchiha; there would be tons of people in the ninja world who would want to buy them.
At that point, it wouldn't be a family price like for Sasuke anymore.
One hundred million ryo per pair! Even Orochimaru would sell everything he had for a pair!
This trash game is stopping me from making money!
