Chapter 749 - Song Wanníng’s Plan

That host really had children one after another, and every single one of them had pretty decent talent. Unfortunately, they later ran into that hateful dragon. After an argument broke out, the dragon actually killed several of the ancestor's descendants.

They was so furious that she went to confront him. In the end, they perished together, and she sank into silence, sleeping all the way until now.

Just moments ago, a powerful force jolted her awake, and before she could react, she'd already fallen into Song Wanníng's hands.

The moment she saw Song Wanníng's looks and talent, she was overjoyed. With conditions like these, if she wanted to sleep with a few men, wouldn't they just line up at her door? It felt way too easy.

But it didn't expect this woman to be so cautious, never taking the bait. Even so, it didn't feel discouraged. With her conditions, Song Wanníng would definitely be tempted sooner or later. It was only a matter of time.

Carrying a bit of arrogance, the system chattered endlessly.

Song Wanníng grew irritated. She honestly wanted to deal with it right now. Unfortunately, she still hadn't figured out a proper way to handle it, so she could only keep it around.

"You think forming a contract alone will let you stand on top of the world? Why don't we take a look at the fate of those Yao Clan people?"

Song Wanníng suddenly spoke in a cold voice, dripping with disgust toward the system. She didn't have even a shred of affection for anything related to the Mùsù star system. If anything, she was filled with malice.

Hearing her tone, the system sensed danger right away and quickly asked, "What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing much. I just want you to see something interesting."

Song Wanníng let out a cold laugh. She ignored the system's nonstop rambling and headed toward the Yao Clan.

In the blink of an eye, her clone had already reached the Yao Clan.

"Greetings, Patriarch."

"Patriarch, why don't we see the dragon?"

"Yeah, Patriarch, since we captured someone from the Dragon Clan, shouldn't we be cutting off their head to show everyone? Back then, that Dragon Clan nearly made our Yao Clan lose all our descendants."

A group of elders and disciples crowded around. They were called elders, but their cultivation wasn't high.

The Patriarch and the Second Elder had been the strongest in the clan, and now both were dead.

The rest were useless, each generation worse than the last. Even without marrying inside the clan, Yao Clan's decline couldn't be stopped.

That was why the Patriarch had been so desperate to find the system and raise the talent of future descendants. No one expected that after so many years, the dragon soul would not only survive but still be able to self destruct, killing them all.

Song Wanníng pulled her thoughts back and looked at the expectant faces in front of her. She sighed softly, her expression filled with sorrow.

"Gather all the disciples. I have something to announce."

Her eyes turned slightly red, as if she were holding back tears.

The elders felt a bad premonition and hurriedly gathered the disciples who were still in the Yao Clan. It didn't take long before the courtyard was full of people.

Song Wanníng quickly counted. There were around thirty disciples present. There were probably more who were out training.

From this alone, it was clear how far the Yao Clan had fallen. To think their ancestor used to give birth to dozens of children like it was nothing.

She hid her thoughts and spoke with a sorrowful expression, "Everyone quiet down. I gathered you here because there's an important matter."

The disciples immediately fell silent.

"First, I have some heartbreaking news. Our Second Elder…"

Song Wanníng choked on her words, tears slipping down her face.

Everyone's hearts clenched. They had a terrible feeling. After all, the Second Elder's cultivation wasn't that bad. But her next words shattered that tiny bit of hope.

"Second Elder has fallen!"

The crowd erupted.

"How? We just saw Second Elder not long ago. How could he suddenly be gone?"

"What in the world happened? Patriarch, why did Second Elder die?"

The disciples grew emotional, their shock turning into rage. They shouted about getting revenge for the Second Elder, their expressions twisted with anger. The elders turned pale. Their minds were full of the same worry, the future of the Yao Clan.

Song Wanníng waited for the noise to settle before speaking again.

"At first, when we caught the Dragon Clan member, I was just as happy as all of you. But we didn't expect the news of our capture to spread and attract unwanted attention.

Later, Second Elder didn't want the Yao Clan to be dragged into danger, so she chose to take the Dragon Clan member and flee. She didn't expect someone to intercept her.

She and I fought with the determination to die together with them. But they had numbers on their side. They even mocked our Yao Clan and said we were a filthy nest that should've disappeared long ago."

At this, the disciples erupted once more. This had always been the Yao Clan's sore spot. No matter how much they rose to power, that filthy label couldn't be washed away.

Since childhood, they'd endured countless looks of contempt. Even if their elders taught them to ignore it, how many could really do that? And now the enemy dared to say it right to their faces.

The disciples became even angrier.

Song Wanníng kept up her choked, trembling voice.

"How could Second Elder and I endure that? We fought them with everything we had. But… we lost. Second Elder died protecting me. I escaped while heavily injured and rushed back to the Yao Clan. I don't even know if those people will follow us here."

Each word tugged at their emotions. The more worried she sounded, the angrier the disciples grew. Their reddened eyes burned with fury.

A hint of satisfaction flashed through Song Wanníng's eyes before she spoke again.

"Today, there's another secret I need to tell everyone. If those people come, all of you must run. As long as you survive, the Yao Clan still has hope."

Tears streaked down her cheeks. Seeing their Patriarch like this made the disciples feel even worse. They wanted to rush out and fight the enemy right away. But Song Wanníng's next words shocked them.

"In truth, our search for the Dragon Clan all these years wasn't about revenge. It was for a treasure. A treasure that could restore the Yao Clan to glory."

"What?"

Shock rippled through the crowd. Even the elders were stunned. They had never heard this before.

"This secret is only passed down to each Patriarch. We never told anyone because we were afraid the news would leak and destroy our clan's hope. But now, the dragon we finally captured has been taken!"
