Chapter 747 - The Dragon Soul Burns for the Last Time

This secret absolutely couldn't spread. If it did, how was the Yao Clan supposed to survive?

But right now, the Divine Thunder Seed was still rampaging through her body, and she had no way to take down the two people in front of her. All she could do was look toward the man.

"I don't care why you came near me, but our goal's the same right now. Kill them for me!"

Her voice echoed with a sharp, commanding edge.

His eyes darkened, and he lunged at the Dragon Soul and Song Wanníng again. But no matter how weak he was, the Dragon Soul's past cultivation wasn't something anyone could ignore. With Song Wanníng's body and clone disrupting the fight, the man couldn't gain any advantage at all.

The Patriarch held back her raging immortal power and tried to help. She pulled out a treasured artifact, a flash of heartache flickering in her eyes.

She hurled it straight at Song Wanníng's true body. She planned to sacrifice the artifact to take her down, but no one expected several spirit items to burst out from Song Wanníng's body.

Working together, they wove a crimson fire net that blocked the artifact's path.

The moment it exploded, the fire net forced everything outward.

On top of that, Song Wanníng's swift spatial shift meant the artifact didn't even brush her sleeve.

Another explosive battle broke out.

The man went all in, fighting despite his severe injuries, desperate to seize the system.

The Dragon Soul's soul force kept fading, and he was about to lose the ability to stay manifested. He'd thought he could finish the two of them smoothly. Instead, the man revealed a hidden trump card, proving his strength was far beyond what he'd shown.

The Dragon Soul regretted wasting so much time. That delay was what put him in this mess and dragged Song Wanníng into it with him. He glanced at her. She was still fighting with everything she had, her eyes steady, not a hint of retreat in them.

"She was an incredible junior. Maybe the dragon race still had hope."

The Dragon Soul let out a soft sigh. He'd fallen long ago, but that was also why he'd escaped the clan's destruction and kept a sliver of soul alive until now. And now, this was his chance to give his people their final contribution.

It was just a pity. He'd wanted to pass his remaining soul force to Song Wanníng so she could ascend. Now, he couldn't.

The Dragon Soul looked at her one last time, eyes full of hope, and sent her a voice transmission.

"Girl, don't look back later. Leave this place right away. As for that system, since you know where it came from, I believe you'll handle it well.

Our dragon race may have fallen, but our will never dies. We died to save the world, and we die without regret. And the entire Mùsù star system, if possible, must be destroyed.

Let it understand there's a price for provoking other worlds!"

His voice trembled with rage. If the Mùsù star system hadn't invaded, how could the dragon race have been wiped out? This was all its fault. It had to pay.

Song Wanníng's heart trembled. She snapped her head up, meeting the Dragon Soul's cloudy yet hopeful gaze. She already knew what he intended.

Pain tightened in her chest, not only for the extinct dragon race but for the Dragon Soul standing before her. They did nothing wrong, but because of the Mùsù star system's greed, they died one after another.

The people of this world were the ones who suffered the most.

Song Wanníng nodded silently, a faint smile on her lips. "Senior, don't worry. I won't let the dragon race die for nothing."

The weight on her shoulders grew heavier again.

Their silent exchange finally drew the man's attention. He couldn't hear what they said, but something about their eyes felt wrong.

A moment later, the Dragon Soul's aura erupted.

"Not good." The man instantly panicked. "The Dragon Soul was going to self destruct?"

He guessed it in a heartbeat. His eyes went vicious, blood rising in them. His hands flew into seals. A storm of razor wind blades exploded around the Dragon Soul, squeezing inward with suicidal force, trying to smother the self destruction before it could ignite.

The move drained almost all the immortal power from his meridians.

But Song Wanníng appeared in front of the Dragon Soul. Time Stop activated, freezing the storm for a brief instant.

The next instant, a spatial fold swallowed the wind storm, dumping it far away.

That single second was enough.

The Dragon Soul's body exploded. His last bit of strength pushed Song Wanníng's body and clone straight toward the exit.

The explosion came fast and brutal.

The man instinctively tried to run while also trying to trap Song Wanníng inside the blast.

But the Many-Offspring Blessing System shot upward.

He hesitated for a single breath, startled, and that was enough for Song Wanníng to be shoved through the exit.

She remembered his words. She didn't look back. She charged straight through. Even knowing the Dragon Soul had self destructed, she didn't turn once.

A deafening boom swallowed everything.

The Patriarch's eyes bulged in terror. She tried to run, but the explosion overtook her in an instant and reduced her to ash.

The man also ran like a madman, but the exit sealed right before his eyes. The space locked again, giving him no way out. He knew he was done.

Without thinking, he darted toward the system, praying that forming a contract might save his life.

But miracles didn't happen. The self destruction was too fast, giving him no time. He actually touched the system. One more second and it would've been his. Hope flashed in his eyes like a drowning man grabbing his final lifeline.

Then shock washed over him. The blast swallowed him, and the system was blasted aside. The hope in his hands vanished. He screamed internally. But it was too late. The space was sealed, his immortal power suppressed, nowhere to run.

A thunderous crash erupted. His body was swallowed whole.

Twisted space, black smoke from the explosion…

His despairing scream vanished as the blast vaporized him completely, leaving nothing behind.

A dragon's soul truly wasn't something ordinary cultivators could withstand, even in its final, tattered state.

Song Wanníng burst out of the collapsing passage, stunned as she looked back.

The space tunnel behind her had shattered. The entire space had detonated. A massive shockwave swept out, and she fled at full speed.

Another roar rolled across the land.

Dozens of miles trembled violently, like a giant turning over underground. Nearby mountains collapsed one after another.
