After only a few minutes, Ethan was already able to move again and lift and move his arms as if they had never been injured. With wide eyes and full of shock, he looked at his healed arms and felt his restored condition, unable to comprehend what had happened."W-what kind of power is this… wait! That can't be… the holy power the master once told me about, can it?!"Just standing there, Ethan could feel himself brimming with strength; he felt not only recovered but even stronger than ever before.
ROAR!!!The loud roar of the wyvern abruptly ripped him out of his thoughts and brought him back to his senses, making him fully aware of the current situation he was in."Ah yes, now it's your turn!" Ethan said with a confident grin.
ROAR!!!With another loud roar filled with rage and pain, the wyvern announced its attack and lunged at Ethan. Ethan reacted immediately and with utmost precision. He swung his sword sideways without enhancing the blade with magical power. But as soon as the sword struck the wyvern's right claw, it shattered like a hammer striking glass.
Ethan's eyes widened as he felt his immense physical strength. He had managed to crush the claws of the wyvern, whose strength ranked at B+, using nothing but sheer force. He seized this moment and, with the new power he had gained, activated his ability.
But just as he was about to use his [Bloodrage] again to push his powers to a new peak, he felt a clear change within the ability compared to before. When activating [Bloodrage], his skin began to darken to a slate gray, his muscles swelled, his eyes turned blood red, and his body began, as before, to emit faint smoke. This transformation was completely different from his previous use of [Bloodrage].
With the awakening of the holy power within him, his abilities had suddenly evolved.
Immortal Berserker!During the awakening, every person would awaken at least one ability, though exactly which one always depended on the individual. Awakened beings could also learn new abilities or develop their existing powers over time and through special circumstances. However, the evolution of an ability was extremely rare and occurred only in a few exceptional cases.
Immortal Berserker was the evolved form of [Bloodrage]. It not only enhanced Ethan's physical abilities such as strength and endurance but made him an almost immortal being for a full three minutes. Additionally, unlike [Bloodrage], he could enjoy this power-up without any backlash.
A sword swing followed.
Boom! With a loud crack, the sword struck the wyvern's body, instantly inflicting a deep wound. The wyvern was thrown aside like a wet sack and coughed up blood. At the spot where the sword had hit, a huge dent was visible, as if hammered into iron with a sledgehammer.
In the next moment, Ethan moved again despite the distance.
This is it, I will defeat him! With the technique of my master! He unleashed tremendous magical power and swung his sword in a vertical line.
This was the sword technique Asher had created especially for the personality of the "Dragon Slayer" Siegfried. Asher's sword art consisted of just one technique — a single vertical strike that could fell a dragon and was extremely devastating.
Asher had originally developed this sword art just for fun. But as he continued to train Ethan and observe his progress, he thought it might help him and be fun to watch, so he taught it to him.
Dragon Hunt! His magical power erupted with the sword strike and transformed the unleashed wave of magical energy into the image of a gigantic, serpentine dragon that lunged at its prey and tore it apart with its fangs. The energy wave split the wyvern into two parts, and the subsequent energy wave shredded most of its body into a pile of torn flesh.
Ethan stood there, breathing heavily and visibly exhausted — more mentally than physically — and silently observed the corpse of his enemy. His mission was accomplished, and his long desire for revenge fulfilled. He had slain his arch-enemy and the scourge of Hoham, the wyvern, and finally brought peace back to the world.
"Hmm. Very good, that went quite well, and the final result is as hoped," Asher nodded approvingly.
Alright then, this matter is settled. But that wyvern gave me a good idea — I'll keep watch over Gaia for a while longer… With a new idea in mind and full of anticipation, Asher rubbed his hands together. Then he turned to the other observer, his personal advisor, Renas.
"Say, I already have an idea, but I want to be sure…" His expression grew serious as he raised a topic that had been lingering in his mind for a while.
"I'm able to create worlds with the help of the World Shop; then I should also be able to create individual existences, like humans, and use them as my personal subordinates or assign them tasks, right?"
The idea to create individual persons first arose from the consideration that once his galaxy was opened and revealed to the other galaxies with their many other creator gods, he would inevitably come into conflict with some of these gods. Therefore, it would be advantageous, instead of relying on the long process and waiting for enough worlds to produce powerful personalities, to create powerful beings himself.
But as nice as that sounded, it would be too good to be true to simply assemble a desired army for himself.
Renas was silent for a moment before answering in his classic robotic tone:
"Positive. You are capable of creating existences according to your specifications in exchange for faith points. You can freely choose their appearance, personality, memories, and even abilities to bestow upon them. Existences created by you will, from the start, be absolutely loyal to you and obey all your commands."
Asher simply nodded as Renas confirmed what he had already suspected. Creating life, as well as worlds, costs faith points, and thus it would likely become more cost-effective the more powerful the created existence was. Nevertheless, he decided to try it at least once and surely gain some benefit from it.
Alright, let's start with the war hero and the dragon slayer…
Asher had already decided to create the first figures based on the two identities he had assumed on Gaia: Achilles of Troy and the Dragon Slayer Siegfried.
With his advisor's confirmation, he now set to work and ran through the plans he had created for his galaxy in his mind once more, just to be sure. Then, full of anticipation, he got to work.
Asher opened the World Shop and searched for a section to design individual beings. Of course, he already had a vision of their appearance and abilities, as they were primarily modeled on various mythological figures from Earth.
He decided to create four chosen figures, each modeled after specific archetypes, including Achilles and Siegfried.
The first specimen was the first personality Asher had used during his time on Gaia: the war hero Achilles of Troy. The name itself already revealed whom this specimen was modeled after — the great hero from the Battle of Troy, who as a child had been bathed by his mother in the River Styx and was henceforth regarded as an almost invulnerable hero, Achilles.
For the hero's appearance, Asher chose a strong, tall man, slightly over two meters tall, with dark, tanned skin. As equipment, he bestowed upon him light golden armor, a red cape, and a Spartan helmet with a red plume, as well as a spear, shield, and sword.
The hero's personality was drawn from Asher's own memories and knowledge acquired from stories and history about Achilles. Simply put, he wanted to create a proud and outstanding warrior who possessed the charisma and tactical mind to lead an army of multiple legions.
After detailing the appearance and personality precisely, he moved on to the abilities. These were not to be too many or too powerful, nor laws of reality — which he could also grant but refrained from doing because it would have been too costly.
He granted Achilles abilities such as: [Greatest General Under Heaven], [Formation Master], [War Analysis], [Close Combat Master], [Spear Combat Master], [Sword Master], [Will to Fight], etc. All abilities related to commanding troops, including combat skills like close-quarters and weapons mastery.
After finishing the design, Asher neatly set Achilles' rank to the Transcendent tier.
The knowledge Asher received upon becoming a Creator God included a specific ranking system used in the universe as a reference for the strength of individuals, even among gods. The ranking system had eight tiers: Epic, Transcendent, Legendary, Mystical, Planetary, Stellar, Cosmic, and finally Existence Rank.
This system was primarily designed for supreme beings, as it was used to measure the combat strength of Creator Gods and barely considered beings of lower rank. Existences at the Epic rank were already powerful mortal individuals at S-rank, the highest rank of an awakened being. The Transcendent rank corresponded to an awakened being at SS-rank and represented those who had surpassed mortality and become eternal, ageless entities. The Legendary rank was thus SSS-rank and described beings who had already formed a divine spark and possessed their own godhood and at least a connection to a law of reality.
The Mystical rank was reserved for those who had mastered their own divinity and were capable of actively using laws of reality. They were considered demigods of the universe. The Planetary rank was comparable to the rank of a god, a Creator God, and was the rank Asher currently held in terms of combat strength. The other three ranks — Stellar, Cosmic, and Existence — were currently unfathomable to Asher and beyond his imagination, so he had not yet been able to evaluate this knowledge.
"Done. Let's see if it turns out as I imagine."
Asher closed the World Shop after completing Achilles' design. He then stretched out his hand and began the creation. Just a few meters away, a dark vortex of energy began to form. The shadow of a tall figure appeared. From the swirling energy, the body of Achilles materialized exactly as Asher had designed him. Over two meters tall, tanned skin, light shining golden armor, a large golden shield in his left hand, a long golden spear in his right, and a short sword at his waist.
Appearance-wise, he was perfect, just as Asher had imagined. Achilles' figure stood there with open eyes, as if an empty shell. But then his lashes moved, he blinked a few times, and came to life.
His gaze wandered briefly before settling on Asher, lingering a moment until he suddenly knelt before him and spoke in a deep, rough voice:
"Greetings, Master."
It had worked. Exactly as Asher had envisioned. He could sense the faint, suppressed energy fluctuations from Achilles and confirm that he was at the Transcendent rank and of clear mind.
Despite his submissive posture and immediate acknowledgment as Asher's subordinate, Achilles retained a certain dominance and lust for power and seemed no less powerful than before.
Very good. Since it worked out exactly as I imagined, I should create the other heroes right away. Delighted by his success, Asher wanted to get back to work immediately and create the other three.
