Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 – The Crimson Hill

---

In BlueMoon Kingdom – Hill Side

The wind howled as Dylan stood on the hillside overlooking the burning ruins of his kingdom. Below him, screams echoed and smoke filled the sky. Demon citizens cried, clutching their children, running from collapsing homes. Dylan's eyes were blood-red with fury and grief.

Ruther stood behind him, armor stained with ash.

"It was an unexpected attack… Your Majesty," he said heavily. "Royal army only realized after… after the attack happened."

Dylan's jaw clenched. "Where did they go? Why didn't our forces protect the people? Is our army truly this weak?"

Ruther lowered his gaze. "Because Heaven army used a high spell. We neither heard nor saw anything. An illusion made the area look completely normal. No sign of danger…"

Dylan roared, his voice thunderous. "They planned everything… XANDER!! I WILL KILL YOU!"

Xander's Chamber (Heaven Side)

Xander stood near the window, a cruel smile on his lips, eyes filled with satisfaction. He looked victorious. Fiona walked in and hugged him from behind. He turned, gently touched her cheek.

"Why are you so happy?" Fiona asked softly.

"My plan worked perfectly," Xander said, amused.

"What plan?"

He chuckled. "I attacked my enemies' weakness."

Fiona froze. "Dylan…?"

Xander leaned close, eyes gleaming. "My queen is smart."

Fiona stepped back, panic in her voice. "It's wrong! Dylan is not just your enemy—he is Irin's husband! If you hurt him, it hurts my Irin!"

Xander's face darkened. His hand almost reached to choke her but he stopped himself, fists trembling. "How can you say that? She is NOT our Irin anymore! She chose that demon over us. Don't ever tell me what I should or shouldn't do."

He stormed out, leaving Fiona trembling with fear. She sank onto the bed, tears of confusion. She had never seen Xander so cruel and angry.

In Heaven Garden

Lia looked like a serene goddess in her white silky dress, her hair braided in gold ornaments as she picked flowers with laughing fairy children. From a distance, Ren watched with soft admiration, forgetting himself for a moment.

Suddenly a Heaven Realm Ancestor approached. Ren immediately snapped to attention, bowing.

"Ren, I'm here to inform you. Prepare our army for war."

Ren frowned. "We must inform Dylan first before—"

"Too late," the Ancestor cut him off. "We already attacked them. Silently, last night."

Ren's eyes widened. "What…? When?"

The Ancestor turned away. "Unexpected strike. Dylan will be furious… but we must stand ready. We did it for the Heaven Realm."

Ren nodded with difficulty. "As you say… but the Demon King's retaliation will be disastrous… We have faced it before."

Just then, a guard rushed in and whispered urgently to Ren. Ren stiffened. The Ancestor asked, "What is it?"

Ren replied quietly, "Dylan has already started his attack…"

BlueMoon Palace – Demon Ruler Chamber

Irin hurried into Zareth's room. The ancient demon scholar held scrolls with shaking hands. His long white hair glowed under the lamps.

"Where is the King, Zareth?" Irin demanded.

Zareth hesitated. "His Majesty didn't say—"

"Don't lie. You know." Irin's voice cracked.

Zareth sighed. "He went to the attacked region."

Irin's heart dropped. "Attacked? By whom?"

"Heaven Realm… last night."

She stepped back in shock, tears forming. "I must go…to my people."

Zareth called out, "My Queen, it's dangerous!"

But Irin was already gone.

Great War Land

On one side stood Heaven's army. On the other, Demons. The air trembled with power. Xander faced Dylan, both in full war armor.

Dylan's roar shook the battlefield. "You killed innocent lives… I will not spare you!"

Xander raised his sword. "Then come!"

The clash began. Blades met, sparks exploding. Ren fought on Heaven's side, spells tearing through demon ranks. Ruther growled at the destruction and sent for more troops.

Xander's sword pierced Dylan's chest shallowly. Blood appeared—but Dylan didn't even flinch. He pulled the blade out himself and smirked. "Is that your strength? Pathetic." With a vicious swing, he slashed Xander's hand. Xander just smiled crazily, and they fought again savagely.

All around them, armies clashed viciously, screams echoing across the blood-soaked land.

Attacked Area – BlueMoon Kingdom

Irin walked slowly through the destroyed village. Behind her, Xizi followed silently. Bodies lay on the streets, blood everywhere. Children cried beside their dead. Irin pressed her trembling hand over her chest.

A small boy tugged her dress. "I want my brother back…"

Irin saw the boy's brother lying lifeless nearby. Her tears finally fell, eyes filled with unbearable sorrow. She tried not to collapse.

Xizi caught her. "Queen, let me take you back to the palace—"

"No… I am their queen. Their sorrow is mine too…" Irin whispered.

Just then, an old granny approached, hatred in her eyes. "This is all your fault!"

Xizi defended, "How dare you say that—"

Irin stopped her. "Let her speak…"

The granny sobbed. "Heaven people did this because of you! They didn't want you to marry our king. You married him anyway. Their rage… now we suffer… FOR YOU."

Irin's face went pale. Her breath caught. Guilt and shock consumed her.

She swayed and collapsed into Xizi's arms, fainting as the screams of her people echoed around her.
