As Lance was still roaming in the streets, it started raining. He looked up in the sky and sighed. He then looked around to see if there was some place for shelter and he saw it. A simple store. Before he could go there, the rain stopped falling on him. He raised his head and saw a black umbrella above his head. He then turned and saw Raven. He stared at her for a moment.
" Where are you going?" She asked in a serious tone. Lance didn't know exactly where he was going. He didn't answer. Raven glanced at him and started moving forward. Lance moved with her.
" Have you found another job yet?" She asked.
" No." Lance replied calmly.
Raven slightly shook her head and increased her pace. Lance quickly followed her and took the umbrella from her hand.
" What are you doing?" Raven asked.
" You're short." Lance told her calmly and she just glared at him silently before crossing her arms and concentrating on the path ahead of them.
" Are you going to follow me wherever I go?" Raven asked.
" Do you want that?" Lance asked carelessly and Raven shot him a deadly look.
" NO!!" She blurted out blinking a couple of times.
" So, let's me first take shelter over there ." He said gesturing with his head to the store on their left and started moving towards it. Suddenly, Raven snatched the umbrella from his hand.
" See you." He said as she quickly left him there ,running to a lady who was standing in the rain staring at them. She covered her with her umbrella .Taking a closer look , Lance realized that it was Lynx and intentionally sighed before running to the store quickly for shelter.
" Let's go." Raven told Lynx in a serious tone. Lynx raised her eyebrows looking at Lance and then at Raven.
" WHAT'S UP WITH THAT LOOK??!" Raven blurted out. Lynx gave a knowing smile with raised eyebrows as she shrugged.
" Ugh," Raven said in annoyance as he turned and started walking away.
" I see you're not angry with me anymore." Lynx said with a smile.
" Who said that? I'm good at holding grudges, there is no way I will ever forget the way you stabbed me." There was no trace of anger as she said this. This made Lynx feel relieved. She gave a small smile.
" Your temper is recently getting ..."
" What about my temper?!!It's none..."
" Of my business of course. I get it... No need to continue."
" Whatsoever." Raven said breathing out aloud. There was a moment of silence.
" I thought it would be better if this was done in the night." Lynx said calmly.
Raven glanced at Lynx and smacked her lips.
" What's your problem? It's not like anyone will see us."
"Let me warn you. Don't you dare stab me in the back." Raven added.
" Don't expect much from me. I'm only a human after all." Lynx said as she calmly rubbed her nose bridge with her index finger . Raven frowned. At the moment they disappeared and appeared in front of a thick forest.
" How did you know about this place?" Raven asked.
" Shadow master." Lynx said calmly.
Lynx had told Raven that she knew where the Onyx was. Lynx had asked Raven to help her get it and after that, they would fight and whoever won, would take it. Whether Raven rejected the offer or not, she believed that Lynx could just get it without her help, she wondered about the reason why Lynx was making such an offer . Maybe Lynx wanted to kill her. But so what? She chose to try the chance. Maybe she would win.
" Why did he send you alone?" Raven asked her.
" Others might have already arrived." Lynx said carelessly. Raven's eye widened in disbelief.
" Hypocrite!!" She said angrily turning back to return home. Lynx grabbed her hand.
"Eh, What's wrong with you?"
" Let go!"
" Come on, I was lying. It's just that he gave me the exact position. And walking in this thick forest alone is boring." Lynx said teasingly.
They entered the forest. It was too dark.
" And you were asking if we could do this in the night. What is the difference between day and night here? " Raven said calmly. Lynx ignored her and took a red pearl in her hand. It then floated above emitting a strong light. Lynx then observed the place. She then took a chrysanthemum from her costume and gently opened her hands in the air as the flower emitted a not so strong light and started floating forward. They followed the flower and finally reached a place where there werea bunch of the same flowers planted there. They looked at each other and stood in front of the flowers. Lynx squated and then out her palm on the ground. A small box came out. She excitedly took it and immediately opened . There was a simple colourful stone in it. Lynx glanced at Raven with a smile.
At the moment they heard footsteps not to far from them. Raven quickly turned and saw that it was the same guy as that guy who had appeared in the club telling her, he wanted her. They ran after him but he just disappeared in a thick air. With no other choice they immediately transported back to their apartment.
" Who is that freak?!" Lynx asked angrily. Raven already had her suspicion but shook her head.
" Why was it to easy to get this stone?" Raven asked calmly.Lynx gave her a questioning look.
" It would have been found long time ago." Raven stated.
" Then,... The shadow master,"
" Don't ask me. I don't know."
" How did he know?"
" I told you to not ask me anything. Why do you not understand my words quickly?"
Lynx took out the box and stood in a fighting position. Raven shook her head.
" There is no way I'm going to fight for a mere stone. It's not the Onyx." Raven said sitting down.
" No powerful aura around it, we have heard it's legend. So..." She shook her head. Lynx sighed and stood properly.
" I will just get it to the master to hear his words." She said as she sat down. Raven only shrugged.
