The empire was turned upside down by what had happened overnight.
“So, Viscount Perrman really kidnapped those children?”
“We’ll know the full details once the investigation is over. Isn’t it obvious though? There are so many witnesses.”
One of the two men, who were talking to each other with surprised eyes, pointed off somewhere with his chin.
Numerous children were hugging their parents and crying.
“So, all the children who went missing up until now were at Perrman’s residence?”
“According to the military police, there were also children that aren’t from the capital.”
“What?”
“He must have gathered children from all over the place. Not only were there the missing children from the capital but also youngsters who traveled here from various parts of the empire to work. I heard some of them were from the central and even southern regions."
“I-is he insane? What was he trying to do with all those children?”
