Chapter 202 - A Kiss Under the Moonlight

The evening breeze stirred the beauty's long hair, letting it dance freely between the night and the flickering firelight, like the Milky Way cascading to earth.

She walked barefoot on the damp sand with the man she called her "husband," hand in hand.

The sand beneath their feet was soft; each step left a deep imprint, cool and refreshing, occasionally mingling with seeping seawater in the shallow footprints.

The sound of waves came from the distance, accompanied by a melodious, continuous song.

Holding hands was Leon's idea.

When he first approached Rossweise and suggested a stroll on the beach hand in hand, Rossweise thought, "Is this dog of a man finally unable to hold back his confession? You can't do this, Dragon Slayer. Are you surrendering?"

But as it turned out, the Queen had underestimated him.

Leon said he just wanted to show affection in front of their daughters.

Because the look in Noah's eyes a few days ago had left too deep an impression on him, and he had to take this matter seriously.

So he thought that during this seaside trip, he would let Noah and his second and youngest daughters see how loving their parents were.

After hearing Leon's thoughts, Rossweise naturally didn't refuse.

The couple walked hand in hand along the beach. With their outstanding looks and charm, they attracted the attention of many passersby.

When they stood together, they exuded an irresistible aura.

Everything around them seemed to highlight their presence, making the moon and stars in the night sky pale in comparison.

Those who didn't know might have thought they were a newlywed couple here for wedding photos.

But in reality, they were just casually strolling hand in hand.

Rossweise raised her hand to tidy the strands of hair tousled by the wind. "What did I think it was? Turns out it really was just a walk."

Leon squeezed her soft hand and shrugged. "What else did you think it was?"

"A confession," Rossweise said.

"The evening breeze, the beach, the ocean, along with the firelight and the stars—it's perfect for a confession."

"Alright then, confess," Leon said.

The Queen paused, glancing sideways at the man. "What do you mean? Are you asking me to confess to you?"

"You said it's a good time for a confession, and you've been nagging me about it. So why not confess yourself? I'm listening," Leon replied.

Rossweise chuckled and playfully punched his arm. "You want this Queen to confess to you? Maybe in the next life."

"Oh, I'm so touched," Leon remarked.

At his words, Rossweise blinked in confusion. "Touched? Touched by what?"

"I was just thinking about this lifetime, but you've already planned out our next life. That's even more touching than confessing to me," Leon explained.

Rossweise pushed Leon's hand away and kicked him into the sea.

Fortunately, General Leon had spent many years marching and fighting, accumulating countless battle experiences.

Reacting swiftly, just as his body was about to hit the water, he grabbed hold of Rossweise's clothes.

Splash—

Rossweise's cry of surprise was drowned out by the splashing waves.

The two of them tumbled into the shallow waters beside the beach.

When they came to their senses, she was already lying on top of Leon.

Her chin rested on Leon's chest, and when she looked up, the dog of a man was lying in the waves, wearing a smug smile as he looked at her.

Rossweise bit her lip, angrily pinching his waist.

Then, before he could yell out, she raised her hand to cover his mouth.

It was a set of actions as smooth as flowing water, practiced countless times on the bed.

After exacting her revenge, Rossweise stood up satisfied.

She folded her arms, glancing at Leon, and snorted, "I don't want to meet you again in the next life."

Leon stood up from the water and approached, "What about the life after the next?"

"Nope."

"Well, it seems we'll have to finish the business of the next two lives in this one."

Rossweise raised an eyebrow, casually asking, "Such as?"

"Having a few more children…"

"Hiss— I think you're asking for a beating!"

With that said, Rossweise chuckled and raised her hand, while Leon laughed and dodged.

Then, before her tender palm could land, he smoothly held her hand again.

Rossweise symbolically shook it twice.

She couldn't shake it off.

"Tsk, childish."

She yielded to the childish Dragon Slayer and let him continue to hold her hand as they strolled along the beach.

Meanwhile,on the other side of the beach, the three little dragon daughters watched their parents, who were now acting like children, with various expressions and different inner thoughts.

Muen – 😚 : Mom and dad are cute~

Little Light – 😽 : Although I don't understand, since mom has already kicked dad once, it's reasonable for me to throw a punch too, right?

Noah: "In my dad's reincarnation, he knocked out Constantine with one move but got kicked into the sea by mom with one kick."

But Noah's inner thoughts weren't just about that.

Leon's concern was justified; Noah had indeed developed a slight… worry about her parents' relationship and the family in these past few days.

That night, she went to her mom's room to find them, only to discover it empty.

And after that night, they were gone for a full five days.

She asked Anna where dad and mom had gone.

Anna said they had gone to deal with some matters themselves and asked the princess not to worry.

Noah then asked what kind of matters were so secretive that even their daughter couldn't be told.

Anna replied that adult matters were very complex, and sometimes, even their daughter couldn't be informed.

Normally, Noah didn't like being treated as a child by others.

But this time, she accepted the fact that she wasn't an adult.

Because she felt her lack of understanding towards her dad and mom.

For so long, she had only been testing and enjoying their love, but she had never really tried to understand these two people who loved her.

Combined with various doubts and puzzles she had noticed before, a not-so-good idea sprouted in Noah's little head:

The thing dad and mom were hiding from her was something crucial to the whole family.

If this matter slipped from dad and mom's control, or leaked due to some external factors, it would be a fatal blow to their entire family.

Noah couldn't help but be concerned about this matter, and even after dad and mom returned, the shadow lingering in her heart couldn't be dispelled.

It was as if she had returned to the state she was in when dad had just awakened.

Wanting to prove to herself through various clues that dad and mom were in love, that they cared about this family, and that they would never let it fall apart, Noah K. Melkvi was fortunate to have the world's best dad.

Even with just a hint of concern in her eyes, Leon spared no effort to help his daughter through her worries. Her dad understood her, loved her, and was incredibly efficient in taking action.

Tonight, both Leon and Rossweise's actions only deepened the thought in Noah's mind that "they are in love, they care about this family."

The worries and troubles of the little dragon daughter gradually dissipated with the cool sea breeze.

Though she was still a bit afraid of the day they would part, the current happiness overflowed like water from a cup, enough to temporarily make Noah forget those worries.

"Sister, sister, sister!!"

In a distracted moment, Muen excitedly patted her arm.

"What's up?" Noah regained her focus and looked at her sister.

Muen, jumping up and down, pointed towards the distant beach.

"Dad and mom are about to do something kids can't watch!"

"Eh?" Noah followed her sister's finger.

Sure enough.

The two of them stood in the waves, the water reaching their ankles.

Mom's silver hair cascaded like a waterfall, stunning and captivating.

Dad's large hand embraced her slender waist, holding her tightly against his chest.

They gazed at each other, their noses gently touching, their passionate lips caressing.

The beauty raised her hand, fingertips teasing her husband's cheek, gazing into his eyes with a smile. "You know the daughters are watching us, don't you?"

"I know."

"Then you should also know that some scenes are not suitable for children."

"Understood, Your Majesty."

Rossweise's cheeks flushed red as she chuckled, "Alright, alright, understood~"

She closed her eyes and leaned in to kiss the man in front of her.

Meanwhile,on the other side.

Noah was completely mesmerized.

Now she finally understood Principal Wilson's old expression; it turns out shipping was so satisfying!

While Muen silently covered her little sister's eyes, earnestly saying, "Children shouldn't watch~"

Little Light: Second sister, it seems like you also want to taste one of my uppercuts.
