There were only the sounds of porcelain dishes and cutlery at the dining table.
Both Lucas and Elena didn't have huge appetites. Towards the end of the dinner, Elena said, "I know who was behind this attack on me. I'll deal with it and not put myself in danger again."
Lucas placed his spoon on the table and used a napkin to wipe his lips gracefully.
He lifted his gaze and stared intently at her, saying, "If you need any help, you can contact me anytime."
Elena managed a tiny smile as she nodded, "Okay."
"Do you want to go for a walk?" asked Lucas as he studied her. He continued, "I think it's good to get some exercise after dinner."
"Okay." With the enchanting view surrounding the villa, having a walk after dinner was a good idea.
There was a drastic change in the temperature in early spring. While the day was warm, the temperature at night had dipped.
Before leaving the manor, Lucas picked up his coat and placed it on Elena's shoulders.
