Pondering deeply, Elena asked her assistant Lily, "How would you react if someone tried to steal something from you?" She wasn't smiling, and her expressions were blank, different from her previous self.
"I'll defend myself and ensure they can't take away what belongs to me," Lily stated uncertainly. She was not sure if this was the reply the boss expected from her.
"You nailed it; that will be our course of action," Elena chuckled, eliciting several goosebumps on Lily.
Lily was very surprised to see her boss' behavior. Usually, Elena wouldn't interfere in the company matters as she trusted Evan Cross with everything.
