The entire day was a festival day. A day for celebration and acknowledging just how far Apex had come in just a span of twenty years. It was an event for all, all those came far and wide to attend this event, although only wolves were allow to attend of course, other species with the exception of humans and witches/wizards were in ghettos. Well, not to include the pixies since they were still holding down their territory, an annoyance to Zhiliary.
Kara sat in a chair in her wardrobe room, her handmaidens by her side doing her hair. She wore an elegant white gown with pearls in her ears and around her neck. She wore white satin gloves upon her hands. Something that was gifted to her by a neighboring pack to celebrate Apex's colonization of the country.
"You look gorgeous, Omegress," her handmaiden said, touching up her hair so not a single strain was out of place.
Kara smiled and chuckled. "Theres no need to call me Omegress. I don't have the role."
"It makes no sense. You're only one fourth of a witch yet they treat you as if you were a full one," another maid said to the Omega.
"Humans have a one drop rule, its like wolves implement that as well." Kara listened to the bickering of her maids. They were right but it wasn't something she cared about enough.
Knock, knock!
The Omegas looked over their shoulders toward the door and found a butler waiting for them. He bowed to them.
"The Alpha, Zhiliary, awaits you, madame," the butler bowed with his head down as he spoke.
Kara arose from her chair and looked at her maids. She twirled around in her dress. "How do I look?"
"Radiant!"
"Simply gorgeous!"
Kara sniffed the air as she walked toward the butler. "Do you smell that?" She asked them.
"The scent of a lone wolf, a mutt-"
"Please don't say that," Kara said. Her maid was polite and nodded her head in understanding.
"She's very popular on social media. There are pictures and videos of her walking about. She's rather handsome," the other handmaiden said with a slight blush to her cheeks. Kara couldn't help but smile. Sous truly was handsome.
Sous splashed about in the bath tub. It had been a while since she had a bath. Shower, yes, but to be able to just chill in a bath filled with bubbles-not on the normal, no.
The Alpha had an eventful day, unknowingly aware there was a festival going on that day. However, another event was taking place that night. A small event at a local bar and Sous wanted to go. Why? Because Kara would be there.
She took her puff and began to sizzle it down with soap.
The water was warm and inviting. It was a luxury Sous rarely allowed herself. She leaned back, letting the suds cling to her body, the scent of lavender filling the small bathroom. Her mind wandered, inevitably, to Kara. The way her eyes crinkled when she smiled-oh, how she missed that.
The soft curve of her neck beneath those pearls. Sous dunked her head under, holding her breath until her lungs burned. When she surfaced, water sluiced off her in rivulets, dripping onto the tiles. She didn't need words. The tightness in her chest said enough.
Kara took such gorgeous pictures. All throughout the city, there were posters and billboards with Kara's face on it. Even though she didn't have the title of an Omegress, they sure did treat her like one.
Sous was a lone wolf. She didn't have a pack; she thought she did way back at Hacate but...no, she didn't. She was grateful for her family though, Tany, Fednora, Shadow, Ma, Grandpa, Clarence, three Gs. And even with that said, from the age of eleven, she was able to attract the most beautiful Omega in all the world.
There it was, the bar!
Sous walked through the grassy field toward the small bar that seemed to be intimate, just for a small party. It was midnight and it seemed things were settling down for the night.
The Alpha glanced at the bright yellow lights that hung from the roof, a tin roof like this bar was made from a little shack. Sous chuckled thinking about her little home, her little shack that was now destroyed.
The crowd got quiet when Sous stepped up onto the patio. The wolves were quick to smell she was not all wolf, they saw the antennas, the wings, the fangs; no, she was something else entirely.
Kara looked up from the bar, still wearing her white dress she had on all day for the festivities. She turned to see Sous, standing tall and muscular at the door entrance. Her voice caught itself in her throat.
DASH!
She took off running toward the Alpha and Sous engulfed her into the biggest hug she could give her. The crowd groaned seeing such an interaction. An interaction that caught the attention of Zhiliary's.
PUNCH!
Sous was knocked off her feet and landed in the dirt outside of the bar. She glanced up to see Zhiliary about to transform into her werewolf self. Sous waved her hands up and bowed.
She...bowed...showing her submission.
"Sous..." Kara whispered.
"I don't want trouble," Sous shouted. "I just want to talk to her. May I talk to her, please?"
Zhiliary stood over her, fists clenched. Her eyes flickered between Sous and Kara. The crowd had gone silent. The only sound was the wind whistling through the tin roof.
SMACK!
Zhiliary's boot landed under Sous' chin, sending the blonde Alpha through the air and rolling. The Alpha ran and jumped high into the air and landed hard onto Sous' stomach.
"AAHHHH!" Sous screamed out.
Kara ran into the field as Zhiliary began to beat the crap out of Sous. Kara flopped her body over Sous, making Zhiliary stop attacking.
Zhiliary inhaled and proceeded to throw a large spit ball onto the Sous. She turned to her mate. "I'll see you at home."
