"FOREVER YOUNG, I WANNA BEEEE FOREVERRR YOUNG!!" With the rest of thr crowd, Sous waved her wand in the air with the tip lighted while the auditorium was black. Once the play was over, it took less than five minutes for the actors to get off stage, stage to set and props to break down, and then for the concert to start. It was a mixture of music, ranging from species to species. From the line up though it was obvious the humans and the warlocks had the most popular music genres.
The songs began to change to more slow songs, Sous looked about to see various people forming couples regardless of what year they were in. Using her wand as a light source, she traveled through the crowd searching for Tany.
She found the silver haired girl speaking with Zan, the two of them being interrupted by Randali who wanted to dance with Zan. Sous stood by Tany, not really knowing what to say or how to start the formation of dancing such as where to place her hands.
Tany turned to face Sous and when she placed her hand on Sous' shoulder, the blonde flinched. Tany looked at Sous' shoulder and within the dark, using her wand to see, she saw the blood stains on Sous' shirt. Tany looked at Sous with a questionable look.
Sous shook her head preferring to not talk about it, for if she did, her mind would go to the threat the vice president gave her: Krampus.
The entire auditorium was silent as they leaned into their partners for the evening. Prior to the dance ending, Tany held her wand up and teleported the two of them into a vacant garden of campus.
The school was so big and there was just so much to explore. Sous had no idea there was a garden. Within the garden there were benches and even a fountain that stood in the middle with running water. The statue within the fountain was that of a mermaid sitting upon a large boulder.
Sous took little baby basilisk from around her neck and placed it down on the fountain so it could play within the water. Having the basilisk around her neck was starting to make her sore but as of now, didn't know where else to put the growing fat little thing.
Tany down on the edge of the edge of the fountain with Sous doing the same a few moments later.
"What happened to your shoulder?"
Sous sighed, wanting to avoid this conversation. "I got into a fight with the vice president of student council."
"The Vice President! You mean Thibodeux?"
"You know her?" Sous was stunned.
"Well of course," Tany flipped her hair. "I know everything. Besides, I'm applying to be apart of student council. I already got accepted into the National Honor Society."
"Eww," Sous said regarding student council. Tany shoved Sous, irritated the girl would say such a thing in disgust for such an important organization. "How'd you get into NHS? Grades haven't been posted." Grades wouldn't be posted until the end of the semester prior to Bruma. Normally the second semester was when first years were able to join clubs like relied on grades like student council and national honor society.
But when she looked over Tany who shown in the moonlight, she looked like the epitome of someone who would be into student life. A leader. Sous lacked leadership skills. She knew what she wanted to do and thrive for, but she did it herself. She'd been following behind others. She was okay with that though. It takes time for a leader to arise and even a leader learns from following.
"How many Krampus' are there?"
Tany twisted her face, unsure of where this question came from.
"I know they're strong," Sous said.
"He is. And there's only one. He's called upon to do the bidding of another, mostly about kids."
Sous rubbed her finger along the line of her bottom lip than began to pick at it nervously. Tany pulled Sous' finger down and pulled Sous' face to face her.
"Sous?"
"After I fought Thibodeux, she told me Krampus would come for one of my friends." Sous watched as Tany pushed herself back, worry in her eyes. She looked around, unsure of her movements.
They knew the story of Krampus. They knew he couldn't be killed only displaced. It would have to be a witch, warlock, or priestess that could displace him. Not even a wizard or a priest could do it.
Little baby basilisk crawled back to Sous from the fountain water and traveled up her arm. It coiled himself around her neck once more, sensing its owner was in a stressful mood based on her body temperature and pulse.
The garden had a trail that led to a pond, a large pond. They held hands as they walked to the spot where Tany suggested. Another location Sous hadn't been aware of but wonder whether it was associated with the cave Alana used as a secret lair.
The fireworks popped off in the night, Tany looked at Sous and noticed she had two seals on her neck. She reached out and traced her finger along the seal on Sous' neck.
"I didn't know you had another one." She whispered.
"Mm, when I fought the demons. I performed what the sisters taught me."
They sat together on the bench watching the fireworks. For a moment, it was just them two and the fireworks. It made do for a pleasant evening.
