"Now."
Levos seized the opening and closed on Rose Vegito.
Boom.
The blast rolled across the field. Levos snapped his right knee up like a spring and drove it into Rose Vegito's waist, kicking him straight into the fractured pocket of subspace.
Rose Vegito tumbled back an unknown distance before he finally managed to steady himself.
"You filthy "
Before he could vault free of subspace, Levos vanished.
He reappeared behind him.
Shifting into Perfect Cell Max, Levos drove Kaioken to the brink.
"Kaioken, three hundred times."
"Three hundred and fifty."
"Four hundred."
His elbow hammered the back of Rose Vegito's skull.
Crack.
Bone split.
Rose Vegito's body blew out of the torn dimension and back into open space.
Levos stayed on him, whipping a savage roundhouse into his spine.
Crack.
Rose Vegito folded backward, vertebrae splintering.
Levos gathered power for the finishing blow when a blinding light detonated on the far side of the battlefield.
He squinted. A dark-violet, spiraling field of energy had exploded to life around Rose Broly, rotating so fast it dragged hurricanes in its wake.
It was not even fully condensed, yet the force in it felt like it could erase everything.
A crushing pressure dropped from above.
The raging gusts stung Levos' skin like knives.
"He is going to wipe out everything. He is insane."
Alarms blared in his mind.
Boom.
The annihilating field ruptured. A column of violet ripped from earth to sky.
The entire world bled into that same dark hue, as if only one color remained in existence.
Centered on Rose Broly, the unparalleled blast spread outward.
The Sacred World of the Kais shook and pitched. The ground split. Magma fountained from the seams.
Anything it touched vanished on contact. Nothing held.
No wonder an angel's barrier could not contain him.
Levos' pupils tightened.
If this blast fully bloomed, everyone at the temple would be pulverized in the shock, and the planet itself might not survive.
At the instant of ruin, soft halos rippled across the world. They smoothed the winds and quenched the flood of power until it was simply gone.
The one who acted was her.
Levos looked up.
Vados stood with the calm of deep water, one hand on her angelic staff, the other raised. With a single finger she stopped Rose Broly's fist as it drove for her face.
An angel's strength was terrifying in its simplicity.
"Lady Vados, if you do that, then "
He knew an angel could end this at a whim, but it trampled their clan's neutrality.
Vados' lips curved. Amusement glinted in her eyes. "Do not misunderstand. I am not saving anyone. I am defending against his attack."
Rose Broly's expression flickered.
He had expected to dominate. It had not occurred to him that an angel would be his superior, or that she would intervene.
"Aren't you afraid of punishment from the Grand Priest?"
Vados' laugh was light. "I was forced to act. I did not volunteer to join your little affair."
"Then do not meddle," Rose Broly snarled through his teeth.
"Apologies." Vados tipped her chin toward the whirling vortex above the heavens. "That thing will erase the universe. If I sit idle, I will be erased as well."
Levos blinked. Was she truly preparing to take action?
It was hard to believe.
"Then go back to your own universe and stay out of this," Rose Broly growled, circling away from Vados and hurling himself at Levos instead.
Violet flame surged off him like a pillar to the sky. He looked like some primordial beast, bearing down with extinction in his wake, the pressure so vast it made the air tremble.
Levos drew a long breath, fists clenching. Muscle knotted and swelled. His blood roared. Power poured into him without end.
"Kaioken, five hundred times."
Boom.
They crashed together, sparks bursting like stars.
The ground collapsed in the aftershock.
Rose Broly stood as steady as a mountain. His strength felt bottomless.
Levos' skin split. Blood geysered from a dozen cuts as he smashed into the depths of the earth.
Rose Broly flashed after him.
"In truth, you should be the one returning to your own universe."
Vados smiled faintly and snapped her staff through the air.
The shaft twisted in an impossible angle and cut the fabric of space.
Whoosh.
Just before Rose Broly's fist found Levos, the staff slid between them and caught the blow.
The punch stopped dead, without a ripple.
Rose Broly frowned.
He had not held back. Yet he had not so much as chipped an angel's staff.
"But that is your limit."
He bared his teeth, slipped around the staff, and drove at Levos again.
Whoosh.
Vados' figure slid between them.
"Damn you. What are you trying to do?" Rose Broly's eyes went blood-red. He roared, "Get out of my way."
He broke left, then right, but Vados shadowed him perfectly, stepping into his path each time.
Suddenly, his gaze lit, as if he had solved a puzzle.
"Vados. If you insist on meddling, let us see how long you can keep it up."
He aborted the chase, withdrew a distance, and began to gather power. "This time I am blowing up the entire planet."
Levos climbed out of the crater, wiped the blood from his mouth, and stared at Vados' back in disbelief.
Vados glanced over her shoulder and winked. "Do not freeze up, Mr. Levos. Your universe can only be saved by you. If you have something to do, do it now."
Levos nodded once. "Thank you. In that case, I will trouble you to watch over the Sacred World of the Kais for a moment."
He speared out of the depths and into the sky.
…
Rumble.
Two cataclysmic auras collided and chewed holes in space.
Champa and Rose Gogeta were tearing the world to pieces. The aftershocks alone made the planet shake.
"I do not think this world can take much more. Is Levos in danger?" Bulma fought on the temple terrace, but her eyes kept straying to the horizon.
"He will find a way," Piccolo said without hesitation.
Gohan's jaw clenched. "Even with our power pushed this far, we cannot touch a fight on that level. We cannot help him."
Trunks, Android 18, Trankon, Frieza, Cooler, Dabura, and the others were all locked in battles of their own.
The situation was razor-thin.
A dozen Fused Zamasu were hurling themselves at the temple in a frenzy.
If Majin Buu were not seated at the heart of the sanctum, making them think twice, they would already have overrun everyone.
At that moment, a figure hurtled toward the temple, radiating hate so fierce it tore at the air.
Everyone looked up. Despair flickered in their eyes.
Rose Vegito.
He had clawed his way back to peak condition once more.
