Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: Awakening! Cell Max

Levos suddenly remembered.

Satan's real name was Mark. "Mr. Satan" was just his flashy stage name in the martial arts world.

This guy was weak and obsessed with the spotlight, and yet he'd managed to survive all the way till now? Talk about being Dragon Ball's chosen child!

In the main timeline, Mr. Satan lived through the Cell Games, the Majin Buu incident, and still managed to keep a perfect survival record.

That alone made him luckier than most of the Z Fighters.

Even in the Resurrection F arc, when Frieza blew up Earth, Satan only died for less than three minutes. Whis rewound time immediately, erasing all trace of his death like it never happened.

Annoying as his personality was, the man had indirectly saved Earth twice.

Talk about plot armor.

But Levos had no intention of getting involved with him. Not for now.

No matter how blessed his protagonist aura might be, it wouldn't change the current fate of Earth.

And Levos didn't believe in luck or divine providence.

He withdrew his gaze and pressed two fingers to his forehead, focusing on ki detection.

In the next moment, his figure vanished, reappearing at the edge of the city, right near the coordinates they'd agreed upon.

When he arrived, Bulma and Android 16 were already waiting.

Time to move!

The group quickly found a concealed location with a wide field of view.

Roughly eight kilometers ahead stood the cultivation chamber housing Cell Max.

"Bulma, let's use Piccolo's move!"

Bulma immediately understood. She placed two fingers on her forehead and began charging energy.

During their time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Levos and Bulma had trained in a variety of energy-based techniques. Bulma's skill with energy blasts was no less than Levos's!

Ten seconds later, two massive orange beams of destructive energy surged toward Cell Max's chamber.

BOOM!

A towering pillar of fire erupted, the force of the impact flipping nearby spaceships into the air.

The thunderous boom shook the entire ground as the cultivation tank was blasted hundreds of meters away.

Dark purple fluid splattered from the ruptured shell.

Seeing that the target had been struck, Levos grabbed the two and used Instant Transmission to retreat.

They then watched from a safe distance, observing Frieza's ship.

The flagship had been overturned by the shockwave. Panic spread among the Frieza Force soldiers as they scrambled in confusion.

As for the cultivation tank, after crashing into the ground, it remained eerily silent.

Levos watched, tense, occasionally glancing at the radar.

The Dragon Balls hadn't moved.

So... was Cell Max actually dead?

And what about King Cold? Still no reaction?

He considered a number of possibilities, even suspecting this might all be a trap. Maybe Frieza and Cold were waiting for someone to make a move on the Dragon Balls.

Just then, three massive fireballs ignited at the exact spot Levos had fired the energy blasts!

Waves of fire swept outward, devouring everything in a radius of several kilometers!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The muffled explosions echoed through the air.

If not for Instant Transmission, they would've been incinerated before even realizing what hit them.

King Cold's ki surged wildly as he scanned the area for the attacker.

"This little game ends now!"

Enraged, Cold roared. His metallic body gleamed as he fired a massive energy beam from his mouth, cleaving through West City.

Everything in the beam's path was obliterated, leaving behind a deep, bottomless trench.

The resulting shockwave leveled buildings across a several-kilometer radius.

Stones and debris rained down like a hurricane. The battlefield was shrouded in smoke.

King Cold was livid.

Just as he was about to level the entire city to force the hidden enemy into the open, a beam of purple-black light erupted skyward!

From within the ruins, a towering behemoth slowly rose, its blood-red eyes flickering open.

Those eyes overflowed with rage and madness, like a god of destruction rising from hell.

Cell Max had awakened.

ROARRR!!!

His aura was chaotic and dark, surging with boundless power.

His entire body was wrapped in dark purple plasma, crackling like living lightning.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The plasma gathered into spheres that detonated layer after layer around him.

The ground collapsed beneath his feet. Dust soared skyward like the end of the world.

A bottomless crater replaced the land beneath Cell Max.

The sheer pressure from him was more terrifying than even Frieza's Golden Form.

Even from afar, Levos could feel a chill run down his spine.

Was releasing this thing a terrible mistake?

King Cold was just as stunned.

"How is this possible?! A backwater civilization at the edge of the universe created this?!"

He shot forward, forcing his way through the swirling plasma and punched Cell Max square on the head.

BOOM!

The shockwave blasted outward violently!

Cell Max let out a deafening roar, sending another pulse of dark purple plasma exploding outward, covering half the city.

Everything it touched disintegrated into nothing.

CRACKLE!!

The sound of flesh tearing echoed as Cold was scorched black and sent flying.

Black smoke trailed behind his body like a crashing plane.

"Damn it!" Cold growled, a flicker of dread in his usually icy gaze. "What the hell is this monster?!"

He'd completely underestimated Cell Max.

"Lord Cold!!"

Several Frieza Force soldiers rushed to his side.

"Are you alright, sir? Do you need healing?!"

But then... a massive foot descended from the sky.

BOOMMMM!!

The impact leveled dozens of buildings and left a crater hundreds of meters deep.

The soldiers were torn to shreds by the shockwave before the foot even landed.

Even Cold, giving it his all, was still stomped into the ground by Cell Max.

Dust and rubble blanketed the battlefield.

At that moment, Levos sensed Frieza's energy hurtling back toward West City.

The Emperor must've detected Cell Max's awakening and was returning at full speed!

There was no time.

Levos made a snap decision.

"This is our last chance to seize the Dragon Balls!"

He locked onto the ki of a Frieza Force soldier, one aboard the flagship, dangerously close to the Dragon Balls.

"I'm not letting you go alone!" Bulma grabbed his arm.

SHWIP!

They landed beside an unconscious Frieza soldier, sprawled on the ground, likely knocked out when the ship flipped over.

Levos glanced at the radar and frowned.

"What were you thinking, coming here? This place is way too dangerous. I could've handled this alone!"
