Chapter 245 - Chapter 245: Raphael and Jibril

Chapter 245: Raphael and Jibril

The first ray of dawn scattered across the ever-expanding land of Terra.

In the massive city, the gradually waking citizens all stood in the streets, looking up at the ever-growing Treasure Tree Adam.

"That tree has grown taller again!"

"I really want to know what it feels like to stand at the top of the tree and look down on this land—"

"This must be the great power of the Archangel!!"

Just as the citizens were marveling, something happened in the sky that made them freeze.

The golden sun, which had been hidden ten thousand meters high in the sky, descended again, pushing aside the clouds and mist, and came to a stop at the top of the Treasure Tree Adam.

The scene that met their eyes made the many people who were dragging sea beasts and wild beasts in the plaza, waiting for the Mist Ship, freeze on the spot.

"What's—happening?"

"Why did the Healing Formula come down again?"

"Can we still use the Healing Formula for treatment today?"

Just as the group of pirates, hunters, and soldiers were in a daze, the pirate captain in charge of this area also received a notice. He announced loudly to the people waiting for the Mist Ship, "Except for the seriously wounded who are on the brink of death, everyone else, go to the hospital for treatment! Today's Healing Formula is not open to the public!"

The group of pirates and hunters looked at each other. In the end, a series of somewhat dissatisfied voices sounded in the crowd. "The hospital? Who knows how long it will take to recover there. Do the doctors in this place, Terra, even have any experience in treating external injuries?"

But after their complaints, these pirates and hunters eventually left peacefully, leaving behind a group of people on stretchers, on the verge of death.

The captain in charge saw this, waved his large hand, and had the last Mist Ship brought out. He let the people who were still in the plaza take the wounded and their "offerings" and board the ship, which then flew in the direction of the golden sun at the top of the Adam tree.

Soon, the giant Mist Ship passed by another Mist Ship that was loaded with clothes and returned to the plaza. A group of people, their bodies stained with blood but lively and energetic, dragged the dried-out sea beast corpses and left.

A moment later, the giant Mist Ship came to a stop directly in front of Avant Heim. Immediately after, Violet, in a floral dress with outstanding looks and long black hair, dragging a cart of clothes, came directly before the long-waiting Baby-5 and followed her into the interior space.

After a moment, Violet couldn't hold back her curiosity and asked, "What happened? Why did Lord Archangel have you contact me and ask me to bring these women's clothes here?"

Baby-5 heard her, wanting to speak but holding back. In the end, she only managed to squeeze out, "You'll know in a bit."

Violet heard her, a hint of confusion in her eyes, her heart growing more and more puzzled.

Soon, she stepped into the huge space. The scene that met her eyes made her freeze on the spot, and for a long time, she did not come back to her senses.

In the wide space, Louis, who was incomparably larger than a giant, sat on a throne that seemed to be forged of gold. Before the throne, one after another, naked little girls, with small white wings growing on their lower backs, hair of various colors, and halos floating above their heads, were sitting on the ground. Their size was close to that of a few-year-old human child, and their appearances were all quite outstanding. At this moment, puzzled expressions appeared on their exquisite little faces, and they subconsciously raised their heads to look at the two who were approaching.

This scene made Baby-5's face turn pale, and she subconsciously took a few steps back. And Violet, seeing this, also instantly came back to her senses. She subconsciously walked toward a little girl with short, shoulder-length blue hair and extended her hands to her.

This scene made the retreating Baby-5's face fill with terror. "Wait!" she shouted hurriedly. "They can't control their own strength yet! Approaching them rashly will—"

However, before her words could fall, a crisp sound was heard. CRACK—

Violet, who had just picked up the blue-haired little girl, froze on the spot. Her wheat-colored skin instantly turned pale from the intense pain, and her forehead was covered in cold sweat. In front of her, the blue-haired girl she was holding had subconsciously pressed a hand on her chest, and after hearing the sound, her hand had stopped in mid-air. Her cute little head tilted slightly, a hint of bewilderment in her azure eyes. It was clear that her strength was terrifying; a light push had fractured Violet's ribs. What was more terrifying was that she herself did not seem to understand why Violet was so fragile.

Soon, due to the intense pain, Violet fell directly to the ground. And the little girl she had been holding also sat down on the ground with a plop.

This scene left Baby-5, who had already suffered once, at a loss. But soon, a series of heavy footsteps sounded from behind her, making her let out a sigh of relief.

Yelena, dressed in casual home clothes, walked past Baby-5, went straight up, and lifted the bewildered, blue-haired little brat. She just casually held her up and examined her. Feeling the strength coming from the hand that was firmly gripping her own, a hint of surprise appeared on her face.

"Such strength... it's much greater than mine when I was a child. Are all these children such monsters?"

As she spoke, Yelena's gaze fell on the one after another children in front of her, a thoughtful look in her eyes.

Just then, a ball of golden holy light fell, healing the rib fracture of Violet. Immediately after, a child shrouded in light fell from the holy, dazzling wings and floated directly in front of Yelena.

Seeing this, she raised an eyebrow, then reached out her other hand and caught it. The light dissipated, and a figure that looked even smaller, with long pink hair, appeared in her palm. She opened her golden eyes and looked directly at Yelena.

"This child... why is her birth physique and strength several times weaker than the blue-haired one?"

Just then, Louis reverted to his original form and stood in the center of the scattered Flügel. The infant-form Flügel saw him, and a joyous light instantly flashed in their previously blank eyes. They all began to move toward him. Even the blue-haired individual in Yelena's hands was no exception, waving her hands and the small wings on her lower back in his direction.

On the contrary, the individual with the long pink hair was not as fanatical as her sisters, but was staring intently at Yelena's gentle face.

"F-Father—"

For a time, a clamor of noise echoed in this space.

Suddenly, the individual with the short blue hair broke free from Yelena's hand and flew unsteadily toward Louis, pouncing straight into his arms.

This scene left the group quite surprised. "She can fly just after being born?"

"Not only that, but this child's wings are on her lower back, and they're quite small. How does she fly with them?"

Just then, Asmodai and Artemis, leading several of their female clansmen, rushed over. Seeing the several hundred children scattered around, they were instantly stunned. Their eyes fell on the halos above their heads and the white wings on their lower backs, and a hint of joy flashed in them.

"The Lunarian race... has actually increased by several hundred members at once?"

"No. Strictly speaking, they should be considered a subspecies of the Lunarian race, a brand-new human race," Louis said, looking at the children he had created with his own hands. "The Flügel, or the Sky Wing race, is their name."

Louis's words made the two freeze on the spot, subconsciously repeating his words. "A subspecies of the Lunarian race... the Flügel?"

Just then, Yelena stepped forward, showed him the pink individual in her hand, and said with a frown, "Louis, this child... compared to the other individuals, she seems a little too weak—" Yelena had already compared the individual in her hand with the others. Compared to these children who were born extremely strong, the one with the pink hair was exceptionally weak.

Louis took the pink individual and looked at this unique child. "She is the last individual—Jibril," he explained seriously. "I did not give her great strength, but gave her infinite possibilities. If the other children are an army for group combat, then she is a weapon for dealing with other top-tier fighters."

Yelena heard him, subconsciously stroked Jibril's head, and felt a strange touch. Reaching out to part the pink hair, she saw a small horn in her eyes. "Only one horn?"

The group looked at each other, and then their gazes collectively fell on that other individual. If they weren't mistaken, the blue-haired one's innate conditions were the best.

Louis noticed their gazes and knew what they were thinking. "She is the first individual I created," he said again. "As a reference and prototype for the other individuals, she is a cut above the rest. I have named her—Raphael."

As the first Flügel he created, Raphael was innately much stronger than the other individuals. The weakest, Jibril, was only one-fifth of Raphael in all aspects. In Louis's vision, she would quickly become stronger, and in a very short time, would surpass many, reaching a level of pure destructive power second only to himself and Yelena. But whether she could become a top-tier fighter, not even he could be certain.

Perhaps in the eyes of others, Louis favored the first-born Raphael. But in reality, whether in terms of thought or creation time, it was Jibril, as the last individual, who had received more of his attention.

Soon, Violet, who could not bear the unintentional harm from these children, left this space. And Baby-5, after seeing the others arrive, also turned and left to continue her mission.

After they had left, Louis also controlled the top part of Avant Heim to separate, and the sun-like "Healing Formula" was revealed above everyone's heads. Under the watchful eyes of Yelena and the others, a dazzling light fell, forming a golden rain that slowly descended upon the infant-form Flügel.

In that instant, a blinding light rose, making Yelena narrow her eyes, and Asmodai and the other two had to raise their hands to shield their faces.

When the light dissipated, the "Healing Formula" in the sky had almost vanished. The originally child-sized Flügel had rapidly grown up, taking on the form of young girls. The halos above their heads and the wings on their backs had also enlarged proportionally, and the power contained within their bodies had also grown, becoming more and more terrifying.

In just a moment, the children, who the group had only thought of as having a promising future, had become a terrifyingly powerful army.

The scene of the Flügel rapidly growing up left the group, who had thought that nothing could faze them anymore, silent once again.

After the Flügel had put on the clothes that Violet had brought and had begun a vigorous demolition of their surroundings, Artemis finally said with wide eyes, "They've... grown up just like that? I thought we'd have to wait ten years for them."

Louis said casually, "I gave them the ability to control flames and change their body shape." He explained that the Flügel, like other mixed-blood races on the sea, had surpassed their original race. They had inherited the flame mechanism of the Lunarians and, like him, had changed from having flames on their backs to having halos above their heads. Not only that, but they were theoretically extremely fast and did not need to extinguish their halos to reduce their defense in exchange for speed.

They were born quite strong. Their original infant form was just a manifestation of the depletion of the energy in their bodies. Simply put, when their life energy was depleted, they would revert to their infant form and would have to be replenished by Louis himself or by entering the "Healing Formula."

"Aren't they a subspecies of the Lunarian race? Why is their size so much smaller than ours?" Asmodai looked at the young girls, who were only of normal human size, and found it a little hard to accept.

Louis glanced at her and said in an emotionless tone, "The Buccaneer race is a mixed-blood race formed from the descendants of giant half-breeds. Aren't they also smaller than the giant race?"

Louis's words left Asmodai speechless, and she shut her mouth.

As the few of them were talking, the surrounding space had already been mostly demolished by this group of energetic young girls.

Seeing this, Louis had no choice but to speak up and stop their demolition. "Stop. All of you, come here."

Receiving the order, the Flügel very directly dropped the rubble in their hands and gathered in front of Louis.

This scene gave him a bit of a headache. He then turned to Artemis and the other and instructed, "You two take them to the wilderness for targeted training. They can only come near the Adam tree and the town when they can behave without my command."

Asmodai and Artemis looked at this scene, their faces a picture of bewilderment.

Louis paid no mind to the two's reluctance. He turned to the representative of the Flügel, the first individual, Raphael, and commanded, "Raphael, from now on, you are their older sister, and the commander of the Third Division."

Raphael heard him and, without much thought, quickly replied, "Yes, Father—"

"Jibril... can I take her?" Yelena stepped forward and asked softly.

Louis heard her and was a little surprised by this, but did not refuse. "You can. Since you want to, then I'll leave her to you."

When the others had left with the Flügel, the dilapidated space was once again left with only Louis. But soon, he heard something from Uta that was quite surprising.
