The brute froze.
His breath hitched, chest locking up as instinct screamed at him to run. His legs trembled despite his strength, knees bending under the crushing intent pressing down on him. Sweat poured down his face as the shadow loomed closer, its presence suffocating, promising annihilation.
This was not bravado.
This was not a threat.
This was a certainty.
He couldn't understand how such a soft looking prince could have hidden something like this. How did his Boss have such a monster as a sibling. He had prided himself on his strength, confident that the only one who could beat him in that department was Paigos himself.
Yet even when he faced off against Paigos in sparring matches, he hadn't felt what he was feeling in that moment.
