Unfortunately, the rest of the days on the island passed far too quickly.
But well... under the guise of being Lyra's "boyfriend," Gray had to admit — he actually enjoyed it more than he expected.
They spent nearly every moment together, wandering along the beach, eating breakfast side by side, and even studying together when they pretended to be serious.
They were practically glued to each other... just like a new couple would.
And even now... they still were.
"Gray... I reaaallly don't want to have the midterms... mhm~" Lyra muttered lazily, her head resting against his shoulder.
Right now, she was sitting on his lap, her soft brown hair brushing against his chin as she breathed slowly, calm and relaxed, completely comfortable in his arms.
Gray leaned back against the chair, holding a thick book in one hand while the other absentmindedly rubbed small circles on her back
He sighed, his eyes still scanning the page.
"...Me neither," he said at last.
