Chapter 34 - Chapter 34: Ambition.

Bella's new plan also carries a host of uncertainties. How to coincidentally bring Death and the curse together, and how to ensure they don't merge and wipe out the survivors, are all unknowns, unpredictable by current means.

The original plan to contain Death in a giant metal box hasn't been scrapped, but rather combined with Bella's plan as a backup plan.

There were sixty-one survivors of the Flight 180 accident, five of whom had already died. Others were abroad or simply missing, bringing the total number of survivors to forty-two.

Unlike Bella, who encountered countless ghosts along the way, eager to bully anyone, Victoria Hand's team was a relentless force.

Not to mention government harassment, even the ghosts weren't seen. This made Bella wonder: Is this a world of luck, not the Marvel Universe? Are ghosts afraid of officials? Where are all those who were killed on the road, had their heads chopped off, or had their heads poured into concrete pillars? Come out and say hello to Victoria Hand, make friends!

Starting in Arizona, crossing New Mexico, and finally entering Oklahoma along the highway, they encountered five near-death dangers along the way.

The first four targeted survivors, and the agents, with their agility and training, reacted much faster than ordinary people, easily saving the four. But the fifth attack targeted one of the agents who had previously saved the lives.

The Grim Reaper has abandoned most of its killing rules and now kills anyone who gets in the way.

"That's good news!" Victoria Hand said.

Bella, the architect of this plan, nodded silently. She had long since discovered that the Grim Reaper's power is greatest when targeting a single individual. No one can rest forever. If you rest, he'll suddenly strike you, and you'll be defenseless.

Except for those with bodies as strong as steel, who can withstand close-range shots to the eyes from anti-material weapons, ordinary transcendents are very likely to be in danger if they encounter a sudden attack from the Grim Reaper while resting!

The core of Bella's plan was to increase the complexity; the more life forms involved, the better.

On the way to Arizona, she'd discovered that the Death God's intelligence was truly low, and he was particularly disorganized when dealing with the three vampires.

If three vampires were enough to cause chaos, what would happen when you were dealing with tens, hundreds, or even millions of invincible insects? She was eagerly anticipating that scene.

During a break on the road, Bella wanted to learn how to use a pistol from Claire.

She wasn't old enough to carry a gun, but with limited offensive skills, carrying a gun offered a sense of security.

Claire didn't refuse, drawing her pistol and preparing to teach her how to aim.

But just as she raised the gun, she was suddenly bumped by a portly woman behind her. With a bang, the gun went off!

Claire's agility was crucial, and she managed to twist her wrist outward at the crucial moment, allowing the agent on the other end to reach out and pull him away, preventing the young man Alex from being shot in the head.

"Ladies, I suggest you avoid unnecessary actions," Victoria Hand warned them sternly.

Bella and Claire laughed together. "Why practice with a gun? Just stay put!"

The Sapalpa Canyon in the oasis plains fully demonstrated what it meant to be sparsely populated. The nearest town was ten kilometers away, and if you walked, you had to cross at least two mountains.

The townspeople no longer knew about the wars between the early settlers and the Indians, but they subconsciously avoided the valley. Partly because of the lack of roads, and partly because of ancient warnings.

Even the suicidal American youths were reluctant to venture into the canyon, believing it had long since become a botanical paradise. There was nothing there, so why would they go? There was no point.

Some businessmen were planning to connect the canyon to the outside world and develop a villa complex utilizing the canyon's natural beauty, but the plan remained on paper.

The large group of people avoided the town and entered the mountains via a different route. Many of the survivors, bloated and bloated, had no energy to make the climb, but they persevered, determined to stay alive.

Claire's classmates, while far more physically fit than the office workers, were still exhausted after climbing a mountain.

Initially, the few male students had enthusiastically been catching insects in the fields, showing off their unusual finds in front of the girls, as if to demonstrate their courage. But now, they looked exhausted.

The only agents who could still maintain sufficient energy were Storm, Claire and her siblings, and Bella.

"Bella, you're incredibly strong. Do you exercise regularly?" Despite her best efforts to conceal it, Victoria Hand still managed to spot a glimpse of Bella's exceptional physique.

She could only continue to promote Forks Township High School's joyful education program: "Yes, our school has four consecutive PE classes every week, and four volleyball games! Sometimes after our volleyball games, we play basketball with the boys. The amount of exercise is incredible, and that's how we naturally develop our strength."

There was a significant flaw in this statement. She had only been at Forks Middle School for ten days; how could she possibly experience joyful education? But Victoria Hand and the others didn't notice this small detail. Transferring schools was a big deal for Bella, but it was a trivial matter for the agents. Who cared about a high school student's transfer experience? They were busy with their own lives.

The brunette Claire listened in amazement. She was skilled in both gun shooting and grappling, but had always struggled with physical strength. Furthermore, with the pressure of preparing for university, she naturally spent less time exercising.

She could easily climb two hills, but not with the same ease as Bella.

"Can any girl in your school sustain such a strenuous workout?" she asked.

Perseverance?

Thinking of the bespectacled girl's bellows-like breathing, and the steamy head of the former school beauty after every match, Bella continued to praise the school's joyful education, trying to shift the focus away from herself.

"Sometimes after volleyball games, we practice sprinting, long jump, and indoor rock climbing."

Is your school training students? It's training athletes, right?

Victoria Hand shook her head and chuckled. "So, Bella, what are you planning to do after high school?"

Bella had already figured out this question: she needed to study, and she needed a lot of time to do it.

At this point, she said firmly, "I want to study the history of various ethnic groups. History will teach us a lot. We can't make the same mistakes again."

She not only clarified her ambitions but also patched up her previous research into Indian history.

"That's great! Compared to being a frontline agent, I actually prefer being a teacher in a school and doing my research in the lab." Victoria Hand wisely changed the subject, and Bella hummed and hawed in agreement.
